Hi!In version 10 is it possible to Override / Overtake a translation of an object that was created and translated in a lower layer? e.g., I want my Customization to change the name of an Navigator entry that was created in Core layer.The only way I could do that was changing the Core translation entry (in Text Translations screen) and exporting and then updating the core .trs file. Not a good practice as I will mess with the Core files and make the Coreupdates harder to be managed.Would it be possible to do that only using Cust layer (kind of overriding/overtaking the Core translation)? If yes, how? Regards!

I was deleting a tablespace “CBSTOOL_INDEX” using EMCTL. I have deleted the datafile from windows command prompt because It was taking too much time assuming that the TS might have been deleted. I thought the work was over. But I could not query the database. So I altered the database in order to make the questioned datafile offline. Thereafter I had opened the database. Now what I found was that the datafile say “xxx.dbf” was being shown in the TS “CBSTOOL” instead of “CBSTOOL_INDEX” with zero byte in size whereas the datafile “xxx.dbf” was not there in the OS folder.Now I wanted to remove this unwanted entry of datafile_name from the TS “CBSTOOL”, I had taken the TS in offline mode and tried to drop the datafile “xxx.dbf” entry from the TS “CBSTOOL”. But I did not succedd.Now this TS "CBSTOOL" is not getting placed online giving the captioned error message.Kindly help me.Regards.

Hi ,I have a requirement to create list element to list all employees who need to confirm their time report day and show how many days.   And then need navigation to time report window and filter only the specific selected employees unconfirmed days. I see we cannot filter it since account date information do not in the list record.  Is there any option to achieve this? 

We need to create new application server task. But the “Job type” is disabled in the "Create new Application server Task" window. Can someone please help us to activate the job type.

Hello,When stepping over from IEE to Aurena we encounter the issue that there are customization fields in the tables of IFS. We recognize those as having a prefix of C_. For example in CUSTOMER_ORDER_TAB a customization was made to hold C_CHECKMARK.The field is maintainable in the Customer Order Misc Order Info tab in IEE. Nice.Now we want to move over to Aurena. The field is not part of the standard fields. Any idea how we can include the fields on an Aurena tab in the Customer Order.Hope that we don't need a custom field as that would remove all history as well, I would say.Regards,Steve

Is anyone using a mock/fake smtp server in their testing or development environments for APPS9/10?I have read about Mailhog and Mail Catcher but I am unsure if they would work with IFS. Does anyone have a suggestion?Thanks

Hello all, I have created several custom columns on Shop Floor Workbench. I have added them to the Base Profile and restarted the IFS sessions. However, I am finding that the columns are still not visible and oriented the way they were on the Base Profile. This behavior appears to be different for custom fields. When I create a custom field and apply it to the Base Profile, it is immediately visible to users after they restart their sessions. With custom columns, users have to RMB and select Column Chooser, then make the column visible. This becomes problematic because I have Shop Floor terminals where I prevent users from having these permissions. I was hoping to be able to simply use the Base Profile to make these new columns visible. I am not sure if I am incorrectly using the Base Profile to set these up or not. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, in IFS we can see who is presently connected, but is there a way to list all the users who connected IFS within the last 4 weeks for statistics purpose and better license management ?

I am trying to organize a dropdown of basic data alphabetically rather then the sequential number given by IFS.  I see there is a sortable selection under page designer but it doesn’t seem to do anything.  The end game is to get contact roles organized alphabetically. Any help would be appreciated.

We are running IFS 10.This is related another topic , since issues more cleared I’d like to create a new topic to get some helps.After tested with several scenarios, we found when processing is executed for 4 minutes or more, client (IEE) will lost response.It is only happens on clustered application server and database server environment. We use Azure Application Gateway to load balance accesses on Application Server, and use Azure Load Balancer to provide a stand-by database service.Environment and idle time setting:There is a timeout setting on the Azure Application Gateway (Application Server side), and currently it is set to 2 hours on the AGW. Since 7200> IFS setting value 5400, it is recognized that there is no problem. Azure Load Balancer (DB server side) TCP idle timeout is 10 minutes.Details of Issue:1st: Application server lost response from database when using Azure Load Balancer when processing is executed for 4 minutes or more.  Even if we have set Load Balancer TCP Re

Hi,Can we possible to delete a csv file which is located in database server using a custom event?File is located in this path. That csv file is created due to migration job failure. Hi, We recently changed our file server IP address, we were using the Shared option in file repository to store the documents on file server instead of database. How do i change the server ip address.Is it delete and reenter the path.

We have started an upgrade from App9 to IFS Cloud (2021 R1) along with replacing SAP.Although the Aurena client has loads of new cool features, there are couple of user friendly features in IEE which our users are heavily rely on in their day to day life.Advanced search with group by functions Conditional formatting Sticky notes Shortcut keysOur business is highly relying on these functions and we are having hard time getting the buy in for Cloud.Can we expect these features in later releases or are they any workarounds/new features which can support these?

Hi, Please give me some advice on how to debug effectively the PL/SQL side of an incoming OData REST webservice request when the input is a complex structure. As long as there are some simple parameters to the request, it is fine, I can specify them in the test window of PL/SQL Developer.However, it can be quite painful to build a complex structure (like several customer orders and their lines and their child rows) in PL/SQL before calling the request. Ways I tried:Remote debug with Oracle SQL Developer → could not get through the error: ‘insufficient privileges’ for DBMS_DEBUG_JDWP package (I granted everything and added ACLs) Tried to find within IFS how the conversion of JSON to Oracle types are done - that way I could copy the JSON part of the request to the test window of PL/SQL Developer, where I would convert it to the proper Oracle record type that is defined in My…._SVC package and pass it to the the appropriate method in My..._SVC packageAny recommendation is welcome.Thanks J

We would like to get data from external source. We are using App 9.4. The data will send via XML. We are trying to understand consept of webservice. We started with settings of IFS. We set INBOUND as RECEIVER. There are a lot of way to do that. So we confused. We will create a new package and develope new page for it. What should be order to complete this task?
