Hello,I would like to have a popup or alert appear when a user prints off the Shipment Delivery Note. I initially tried to use a user task, but these can only be used with a projection action. I need values to pass through so I have access to the SOURCE_REF1 field for Shipment lines, so what is the best way to go about this?With the projection action, I don’t have access to SOURCE_REF1, and with the event action, I don’t have access to a user task to notify the user. What is the solution here? It seems like there is no good way to approach this issue. (Why is IFS intentionally difficult to work with?)Any advise would be greatly appreciated.Thanks,Bryan

Hi I have recieved following question from a customer. could someone advise ?"During the cut-over we might plan a clone from our PROD environment to our UAT environment after the conversion of the master data and transactional data but before the stock conversion. This clone is only useful if IFS allows us to do a clone from UAT to PROD (in case the stock conversion fails)? Can IFS confirm that a clone from UAT to PROD is also possible?” Thank you! 

We have a persitent custom field on the Service Contract, where we enter the number of the related Sales Quotation. This works fine.Now on the Sales Quotation Line I would like to fetch the Service Contract ID in a read-only custom field. The select is as simple as it can get. It technically works but it is very (!) slow, especially if there is no contract to be found.Here the speed comparison in PL/SQL Developer: Running the select for a quotation with 67 rows takes 21 seconds (!), if this one custom field is part of the select statement. Without the cf, it takes 0.2 sec.

Hello,I am currently trying to print off customer order attachments automatically based off of a certain custom event I created. My main issue is that there does not seem to be a great way to sort through all of the listed items on the Document Object Connection window and print them off.I would be sorting based off of the object key, which I can do just fine, but I am not sure how IFS workflows can be designed to go through all of the different items in this list. I could do it normally in javascript if there was an object that acted as a list/array, but it seems like workflows want to be built with loop sub processes, to handle lists. Does anyone have an example workflow that I might be able to use for reference? I haven’t found much luck with the technical documentation.Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thanks,Bryan

Hello ,we have a problem with the print agents, after about 1 Hour, it looks like the print agent tries to authenticate again but gets an error. Let's be honest and state that BPA Workflow is not the easiest to setup in IFS Cloud. I still do learn a lot and have, I think, only 20% under my belt of knowledge. To help you out that reached out to this page (thanks for that), I hope that the steps I made can help you get more grip on your own problem with BPA.I share with you settings that I'm working on (really a work in progress). Hello, i face a problem when i want to rearrange the custom column (Customer Contact): i want to place the department on the left side of the cusom column contact page. Even if i refresh the server cache the changes disappear after a new logon. I also tried to save it in the base profile - without effect.Any hints? Best regards Kai An additional note: if i sign on as ifsapp and take the profile of the user who wants the changes the correct configuration of the customer column is shown…..

Whenever I start the Visual studio in a Remote machine the below error is getting popped up due to which the layout is getting zoomed out and the size of the fields increases, basically the RESX is getting affected for this.Also I can see that this extra line of code is getting added Please mention how to resolve this.

Hello everyone.I am a newbie to IFS hence this is my first question in this forum.I just want to retrieve the last 3 digits from a column called “Part_No”, I created the flowing inquiry and validated it at the Database layer  SELECT SUBSTR(Part_No, LENGTH(Part_No)-2) AS Truncated_Part_NoFROM Reserved_Lot_BatchUnfortunately, I got an error from IFS when I try to save the read only Custom Attribute with select statement. A window with Notes field ​​​​​The problem in these Notes fields is that, when it contains quite a lot of text, it’s hard to get a good overview of the text. The way forward for the moment is to use a different tool to write the text and then copy it to the field. The same goes for reading, the text needs to be copied into a different tool. This way of working can't be the intention as there is a function for Notes in the framework.​​​​​​A Window with “Notepad’ functionIs it possible to get this “Notepad” function for some other windows as well?   

We would like to enable the quick purchase order registration only for small POs.Eg. up to a value of 100 Euros.  Is there a way to find out if a PO was created through the Quick purchase order registration screen? And  for example create a small event on this which blocks the purchases > 100 Euro? I cannot find any field which indicates the PO was created through the quick PO registration screen. So only option looks like to add a custom field on the PO header which is only filled in when you create the PO through the Quick purchase order screen? Or is there an event on which we can listen to verify the total value of a PO created through Quick PO registration? Thanks!   

Is there a way to see what users are granted system privileges?  I know I can look at each individual permission set and see if any system privileges are assigned, but that is very time consuming.

So I have a tiny flow. It has been deployed once. I'm trying to get the workflow removed totally. However when trying the Delete option on the workflow:It fails as there is an active version_1.I don't see an option to de-activate this version_1 and hence release the complete set of version and deletion of the workflow (eventSalesContractError2 in this case) to be removed totally.There is no projection, nor an event connected to it.What am I missing that I can't remove/delete the workflow?

HiWhen I create an EXCEL_MIGRATION job and try to Open Job on New Sheet from Excel Add-in tool. The error was shown as below. Some jobs are OK, but some jobs get this error, for example the job created for the view INVENTORY_PART.  Do I miss something? Thanks! Regards,Feng

WHen installing a delivery and then signing the F1Mage a new manifest file is created and downloaded on users laptops the first time the access the application after the delivery. This then prompts all DLLs to be re-downloaded even though no dll files are changed.Is this how it is supposed to work?

We are getting an intermittent error in Aurena after activating security checkpoints for document approval process. It occurs sometimes and it goes away after refreshing the page.Any idea of this issue and how to fix? 

Hello,I am attempting to have specific attachments that have been added to the customer order, get printed when the shipment delivery note is printed. In order to achieve this, I have added an object connection to the shipment LU, and made an object connection transformation to link the customer order attachments and the shipment’s. The changes I have made work, and whatever attachment I add to a customer order, get transferred into the shipment for that customer order.The only thing I have to do now is create a workflow to trigger the printing of these attachments when the shipment delivery note gets printed. What is the best way to approach this? I have created a workflow that grabs the document list for the current shipment, which feeds into a loop/subtask that checks if this document has a document class value of 140 or 150, if it does, it prints this.I am not the most familiar with workflow lists, so I’m not sure if I’

Hi, The user is facing following issue: There is currently a problem connecting to 'http://kiito.xxxx.xx:xxxx'. User ext_xxxx is not allowed access. Most likely causes:  * User not set as Active.  * User is not granted connect privileges.   I have checked the user in active in create user and also not locked. The database user is also connected.    Can you please help?  

Cloud 22.1.1Using Chrome.Using Find Page in the Navigator, the text is cut off horizontally, showing only the top of the characters. This is new behavior in this client’s system.Any ideas what could cause this?

One of the Customer wants to change the System date of an existing environment from UTC-5:00 Eastern Time (US & Canada) to US Central Standard Time (CST). Is this Technically OK to do?  What would be the recommended way? (as I know we can change the Time zone of the Database and Application server and no reconfiguration required, but need to verify before I go ahead)Would this have any impact on Functional side of the Application? Your comments on this highly appreciated.
