Field Service Management (FSM) & Planning and Scheduling Optimization (PSO)

Our understanding was that PSO, HTM would only find available routes to locations via road access. We have a clear example of a location on an island, serviced only via ferry, where the ABE has provided offers for appointments. This is not our desired behavior. Are there any parameters we need to review? How can you assist us in looking further into this issue.Thanks

In PSO, one can add a new field to UI using parameter RequiredReason. This enables adding a reason for any manual change to activity done on SWB.We fail to find an equivalent in IFSCloud that would take this value from PSO as part of integration.Is there such an entity field in IFSCloud? Also in PSO, even after setting the parameter, the entry of value is not mandatory. Is there a way to make it so?

Is there any screen in the ARP where RAM_Resource.description is, or can be, displayed?  It seems problematic that a part of the modeling schema is not available in the ARP.

Good Afternoon,Is it possible to put a lock on either Yellow Sticky Notes or Free Notes within a WO to ensure that the user who created the Free Note or Sticky note is the only person who can remove/delete?Alternatively, is there a way in which the WO Journal can be updated to log when a note is added to the Work Order.We have found that there are occasions when notes have been removed, but cant determine by who or why? Thank you   

We have a work order with a material posting that was transferred to a customer order. The customer order has been invoiced. We now need to create a credit from the posting. But when I access the Transfer of Work Order Lines to Customer Order screen, and right-click on the line, the menu option Credit Invoiced Line is greyed out.Any ideas as to why? More information:Work order status = Started Work order > CO Information tab > Cust Order ref = customer order to which it was transferred and invoiced Posting Cost Type = Material Posting Status = Transferred Posting Customer Order No = customer order to which it was transferred and invoiced Posting Invoice Number = customer order invoice it was included on Customer Order Status = Invoice/Closed Customer Order Type = SEO we are using IFS version 9

Hi Team, This is regarding creation of a business rule. The action that I am looking for is as follows; Person One has Skill A, B and C. Place has Skill A and B.Person Two has Skill C.If I assign Person One to Place One, I am not stopped.If I assign Person Two, I will get stopped by a validation Business Rule.I am having difficulty using validation BR as it does not seem to process that A + B. It seems to process the rule as A or B. Am I able to use validation BR for the above? or Must I use XML BR?If I need to use XML BR, is there any sample XML code that I can be provided with?

Hi!  Is it possible to change what colours are used for routes in the mapping tab when you have selected ‘Colour travels by Resource’ or at least make a setting that prevents very similar shades of the same colour beeing used next to eachother? 

Hi Experts,In Appointment booking guide, it explains to pass the Appointment Template ID and other relevant Appointment_Template details in the input xml as below.  However, we also pass the activity_type_id, where this is also can be connected to an appointment template in APR data.  In that case, it is required to send the appointment Template ID and slot details in the request xml or just passing activity_type_id only, can PSO find the relevant Template ID based on the settings in ARP? Thanks,KM

Hi,We’re currently working a project to update from FSM5.7 to FSM6u23.As part of testing we’ve seen that since FSM6u6 that Broadcast Plans no longer update the tasks directly with the allocation data, instead this has gone to a new table called dse_allocation. The task is then directly updated as part of a commit process. Just wondering how other companies have either embraced this, or made changes to get the task directly updated based on the plan.  We have a decade plus of Processes, Business Rules and Scheduled Tasks that uses the Task data as and therefore we’d really like to keep it that way for this release. Any information from other users would be greatly appreciated. RegardsAdy

Hi All, Is IFS PSO could be hosted in Cloud like AWS , Azure? Is it possible to get IFS PSO as IFS SaaS service?Will  it come under the IFS Cloud package ? or it would be a separate component than IFS Cloud ? Thanks 

Hi Experts,We added the field asset_id under the products tab of request. This asset_id field belongs to the product entity. When we edit this field on the smart client and save, the value gets saved and is reflected on the product screen. If we try to do the same on the web client, this value doesn’t get saved. Clicking the save button does nothing. When we try to move away from that request we are asked “Do you want to save the changes?”. Upon clicking yes the screen reloads and whatever the change we made for the asset_id field is gone (i.e field not saved). Is this a bug?

Hello, I am trying to make a custom screen in order to replace it with the Rich Text Editor, because i want to filter the 'Text Line Code' dropdown field in the pop-up when we click on the 'New' button.The problem is that the screen continues to work with the same functionality like the notes tab, and not like the Rich Text Editor functionality.Is there any way to implement Rich text editor functionality in my custom screen?Please provide your inputs..  Kind Regards

scheduling archive , is this available OOTB or a paid feature ?

Hi,We have enabled status changes in FSM according to DSE_ALLOCATION.After the status is changed, PSO reflects the same status, but the tasks are all getting left aligned & not considering the Off shift time. All of the tasks are getting scheduled next to each other irrespective of the Plan Start definition either in the earlier DSE_ALLOCATION table or FSM TASK property.

Hello, We are working to integrate our field staff deeper into FSM through the tech portal.  We currently have .xls based ‘inspection reports’ our field technicians complete, but we want to bring this into FSM. We need to create an interface as shown below where a set of instructions and illustrations can be presented along side the entry field. What is the best way to accomplish this in FSM Tech Portal R6U23 ?*redacted inspection report 

Hi All, I’m struggeling with some sync rules. I have a custom view, with a custom metadata table, and a sync rule. When I set the sync rule to Batch-all, it works fine.But when I put it on Batch-Delta, it only sends a Transaction Type ‘UPDATE’. New records aren’t then pushed to mobile. I tried with Real Time, but then nothing is pushed at all. Any toughts?
