It is often the case in our industry, that the Business Opportunity starts with one customer, but the final product is purchased and delivered to another one. Or, that the customer want the Sales Order to be addressed to another of their companies/accounts. Our challenge now is, that we are not able to change the Account of the Business Opportunity, as the Sales Quotation is attached. It is neither possible to change the Account of the Sales Quotation, because that is attached to the Business Opportunity. The only option seems to be to cancel current Business Opportunity and Sales Quotation, and redo them to the new account. Which is a lot of work. Is there a go-around, how we can during the process change the Account connected to Business Opportunity after Sales Quotation has been created (preferable without losing information)?

Hi all, We’re currently using IFS (IFS Cloud 22R1) and have come across an issue regarding customer order charges.When a customer order includes a freight charge without connecting to any order line and the customer has already reached their credit limit, the order gets credit blocked — as expected. However, the system still processes and invoices the charge line separately, even though the order is not delivered.Has anyone experienced this?Is there a way to stop IFS from invoicing order charges separately in such cases, or is this a known system limitation?Appreciate any insights or suggested workarounds! Best regards,Harsha

We have created a contact duplicate check based on a contact’s email and need to make email a required field in all contact creation locations. Unlike other dialogs, the Add Contact dialog does not appear in page designer. How do you edit these dialogs in IFS Cloud? If you know in Aurena, I’m sure the same would apply to Cloud.Thank you!

Hi all,We currently have two different companies using Business Opportunities and CRM in IFS Apps 10.Is it possible to restrict Business Opportunities so that users only see records associated with their own company or site — while allowing managers or admin users access to all companies/sites?We’ve seen this kind of access control seems possible in IFS Cloud, but we haven’t been able to replicate it in Apps 10.Example:Joe Bloggs is assigned to TestCompany1. When he opens Business Opportunities, he should only see TestCompany1’s opportunities — not any from TestCompany2. However, a manager or admin should be able to see both.Is this kind of filtering possible in Apps 10? If so, how can we set it up?Thanks in advance!

In 25R1, when creating a new Opportunity the Company field defaults to the User’s default Company.In my solution, I want the End User to be able to see a blank Company field and select the Company from a list rather than defaulting to the User’s default Company.I looked at using Page Designer but cannot see any options there.Any ideas ?

My company is upgrading from APP9 to Cloud. We’ve only found the Create Picklist for Customer Orders screen. Is there any screen or option to create picklist for customer order lines. We may have a customer order with 50 lines, all 50 are reserved, but we would only want to print the picklist for 25 of the lines. We’ve not found a way to print for specific customer order lines and avoid printing for the other 25 lines if they are on the same customer order. 

Hello, We currently use customer agreements in Apps10, which are primarily driven by dates. We would like to drive this using volume as well. For example, a customer contracts us for 100,000 lbs of material. That price is good within the date range for that qty of product. Once they reach 100,001 lbs, we want to issue a new contract, most likely at a different price. It appears that the supplier agreement kind of works this way. Is there a way to achieve this with customer agreements.

Hi, In IFS Cloud you are given the option to extend the Address Line characters. However, when you make the change, it doesn’t change the length of Address Line 1 or Address Line 2. Address Line 3-6 get updated accordingly. Does anyone know why this is the case or is it an oversight?What workarounds are there? Thanks

Hello, We want to set up authorization for the Business Opportunity. We want employees to have to get permission from a supervisor to create a Sales Contract from the Opportunity. This could be done, for example, by ensuring that the status of the Opportunity can only be changed after authorization from the supervisor. I have been working with ‘Sales Process’ and the Approval feature it contains. But I can't find what I'm looking for there.Can anyone advise me on this and suggest a solution? We are working in App10 Update 7.  

We’re integrating IFS Apps 10 to Salesforce via Boomi.  We’re finding that the standard APIs as defined in IFS do not contain all of the data elements needed to create or update records in Salesforce and we may be creating custom APIs to achieve our objectives.  Are there other customers who have connected Salesforce to IFS via Boomi?  It would be helpful to know whether you were able to use standard or had to create custom APIs and other helpful lessons learned as we progress in our journey.

I have a client that is anticipating moving from Apps 10 to Cloud.  The main issue is that the parts may have been originally set up with the incorrect unit of measure. I know in the past we were able to set up translation tables in migrations to help accommodate this. Is it possible to use such a process to change an item’s or several item’s units of measure?  I’d also like to know how others have perhaps performed unit of measure changes on existing parts.  Thanks!

When I try to login to IFS Support, I am taken to a Logout successful page. Does anyone know the reason behind this?  

Usually when we have a Child / Parent relationship, the child places the order and receives the goods, but the invoice states the parent name as they will pay and the credit limit is held at the parent for the total group. Is there a way in IFS to have, the child place the order and receives the goods, the invoice states the child name as they will pay, but the credit limit is held at the parent for the total group.

From a Business Opportunity (BO) we create a Sales Quotation (SQ) with the “New Sales Quotation” button in the header.Then I create a SQ Line with a value of 100 EUR and in the linked BO, a BO Line is also created with a value of 100 EUR.Now we have the behavior that when we delete the SQ Line in the SQ, the BO Line is not touched. Even more strange it then the fact that when you create a new SQ Line in the SQ, we end up with 2 BO Lines in the BO, both connected to the same SQ.Anybody knows the business case of this behavior or knows a way to suppress this behavior?With kind regards,Sven Audenaert

I am playing with intersite orders where I have an internal supplier to a sales part in a supply site.  The internal supplier is a separate site.  What settings have to be made to make this automatic from the point of release of the demand site customer order to the PO to the supply site, release and send the PO create the customer order on the supply site and release it??Thanks!  THis is in Cloud

We have a simple custom field where users can enter a percentage, i.e., number field restricted to values of between 0 and 100, on our Business Opportunities screen on the General Info section.We want to force users to populate this field before they exit a particular Sales Process Stage - this sounds like the perfect use case for Sales Process Actions?When we try to set this up, we don’t see the custom field on the Enter Data dialog:Can anyone advise how we get custom fields to appear here?I know this was a restriction in Aurena but I had believed it had been fixed in Cloud at least for simple custom fields.

I am trying to set up some data for a demonstration of both intersite and distribution orders.  I have been in several apps 10 demo versions and when I try to release a customer order line with the “Internal supplier transit” supply code, the system tells me that the order line date is not inside supplier calendar.  However, because the supplier is an internal supplier, you can’t add a supplier calendar to the supplier!!! Any ideas???

One of Our end users has incorrectly added the amounts. Then RMA has release and already printed. After identifying the issue now, we need to delete or Cancel the RMA. But the system is not allowing to do so. Please support Thank youKasun​​​​​​​

In Apps10 Charges were not included in the Order Amounts in the Customer Order. There was an extra Field “Total Gross incl. Chrg/Curr:” In Cloud this field is no longer there, and Charges are now included in the Order Amounts like “Total Net Amount” and “Total Gross Amount”Is there any way to influence this? As this is confusing after an Upgrade from Apps10 to Cloud.   

The Customer Hierarchy does an alpha-numeric sort at levels 1 and 2.  However, from level 3 on there is no sort on the records that appear in the tree.  That is compounded by the fact that it displays the standard 24 records at a time and you have to click show more repeatedly to make sure you can see all the unsorted records to find the one you need to work with (remove, move to another place in the hierarchy, etc.).  Has anyone found a reasonable way to work around this?

Hello,I’m trying to find a solution to manage the confirmation of delivery dates on the distribution orders between 2 sites. Note :From a Distribution Order, we can update the Delivery dates and IFS instantly update dates in the PO and CO. I wanted to use the 'confirm' function of the purchase order to notify on the customer site has taken note of the supplier site’s confirmation. In order to see the changes.But I realize that this one is not suitable, in case of a change of date by the supplier the status of the line doesn’t update only that of the order.Have you ever had this problem ? Otherwise, do you have another suggestion to make me to manage the confirmation dates for distribution orders.

Hi,I have an issue. I need to modify an article (change part number) in IFS SURF. The individual I need to change is already issued on a shop order. I need to unissue this article in order to modify it. The problem is that I cannot unissue the article from the shop order since the “allow condition code” button is enabled for it in inventory part. It is not possible to change condition code once it is enabled and “exists” in inventory part.Is there anything I can do to solve this or do I need to involve IFS support? /F
