A new functionality called Assembly Kit has been introduced in 25R2, and this solution perfectly fits one of our customer requirements. However, there is a limitation when managing these assembly kits for rental use, as the system has a hard restriction that prevents modifying the contents of an assembly kit through an assembly order when the ownership type is a company rental asset. I understand this limitation exists because the assembly kit cost is calculated based on the component costs.
However, we would be keen to know if anyone from R&D can confirm whether there are plans in the future roadmap to enable the Assembly Kit functionality for rental use as well.
