Hi I need to restrict the length of Address1 to 30 characters due to restriction when passing data to myTNT. I think this is possible by editing the address layout per country but cant find where. Address Presentation windows just changes the display size of the fields in the address popup but doesn’t change how many characters can be entered. The Address Setup per Country window also doesnt seem to offer this facility. Is it possibe? Many thanks!

Hi All There is some quite strange functionality in IFS Sales Quotations where the Quotation Date is only populated when you Release a quotation AND Print it (to screen or printer). It is very strange that it doesn’t have the same functionality when you Email it (without print previewing). Is this the same for everyone else, or is it an issue/bug in our version (22.2.8)? Thanks

  Is there a possibility  split the charge on a material line between two different accounts.  For example, we need to charge 50% to a warranty account and 50% to the customer. , please can you assist.

Hi, I’ve found in the standard lobby the information about the leads created per month but i don’t find the same for accounts and contacts. Does this exist ? If not, is it complicate to create it ? (I’m a beginner in lobby in IFS)Regards,Pierrick

Hello,I need your help please to better understand the RMA process: 1- I have a customer order line with discount that is invoiced.2-  I have created the RMA from the customer order line: The price showing on the RMA line is full price not including the discount.3- I have created a credit invoice from the RMA line: the credit also showing the full price not including the discount. My question is: should the RMA line retreive the price including the discount from the order line? Or we need to add the discount manually when we create the credit invoice? Thank you!

Hello,Currently I am trying to create a command group type Navigation Link and have the parameters of the selected Customer carry over to the linked page.For example, I am trying to have a customer be selected on the customer analysis page and depending on what customer is selected, add that customer id as a filter on the AR Customer Invoices Analysis page.​​​​​​​Currently, this is the setup of my command group, but it doesn’t affect the filter of the AR Customer Invoices Analysis page.Any and all advise would be greatly appreciated.Thanks,Bryan 

We have a requirement to show shipment weight and dimensions on our shipping documentation (currently the Delivery Note).  The issue we have is that the weights and dimensions vary by shipment method.  If we are shipping by LTL, 10-20 boxes are shrink wrapped onto a pallet so the weight includes the pallet weight.  If we are shipping next day, each box is placed in a outer shipping box so the weights vary.How do other companies handle this?

Is it possible to create a new contact person via the CRM Panel if the contact already exists under the Communication Method tab? Currently, in this scenario, the panel only provides an option to edit the name linked to the communication method  

I originally posted my question in Framework & Experience and it was suggested to me that Distribution would be more appropriate. So here I am. We are moving to a brand new IFS10APP with only part of the data being migrated. I seem to have missed something in terms of permission and/or access because my user is unable to create correction invoice and credit invoice eventhough he can create regular invoice. Any pointers where the issue might be?

We have a situation where we will prepare orders and deliver them in IFS, but then the carrier fails to show up to actually pick up the order.  This causes an issue because AP has to wait for manual confirmation from our shipping area that the truck has actually picked up all of the shipments before they can create an invoice. Is there something in IFS that allow shipping to confirm that the order has actually been picked up?

We have a pricing structure that consists of four different parts.A general price list where we set a cost and a price for each article Customer specific prices for the most common articles Regional prices for some customers i.e., a customer may pay different prices for the same service in different parts of a country, essentially multiple prices for one customer Project specific prices (for large projects)We are trying to understand how to best use the concepts in IFS Cloud to set this up incl. Sales Price Lists (Part based), Customer Agreements, Campaigns, Base price lists, Service contracts and more.What would be the recommend mix of these for an easy maintenance for our pricing structure?

In IFS Apps 9 you can create your own rules (type External). Unfortunately, there is nothing in the documentation about creating such rules. There are only 4 examples in the code. The question is, did anyone use it and have any other examples or documentation?

Hi everyone, Per my understanding Customer Collective invoice is per site.In another words, that means Ifs is not able to group in one invoice, customer orders related to different sites.1/ Am I correct ?2/ I don’t understand the reason, Ifs has this limitation. Hi Everyone,When I try to modify an existing  Business Opportunity, below error is triggering."Inserting or updating records is not allowed when the revision is not in Active status"But there is an Active status revision (main revision)  in the respective Business Opportunity. In addition this BO is having two other Revisions in “Obsolete” state. This behavior cannot be observed on Core environments.Anyone having an idea why this is happening?Regards,Kithmini 

Hi, I have followed all the steps below to create a sales campaign but this is not working. Create a Sales Charge Type with Charge Category Promotion.  Create a Campaign with a Sales Start Date today and a Sales End Date a couple of weeks ahead. In the Sales Promotions tab, add Deal ID 1 with the Charge Type from step 1. Enter a Buy ID and then enter the Sales Part and Min Qty. In the Get section, select the radio button for Discount (could also be price or discount amount) and add a discount. Add a Get ID and enter the Sales Part. Add a site in Valid for Sites and also a customer in the Valid for Customers tab. RMB to Activate it.  Create a new CO header for the customer and save. Add a CO line for the minimum pcs of Sales Part. The system informs that the sales part is connected to sales promotion deal 1. Release the CO header, which will trigger that the Sales Promotion calculation is executed.

Is there a way to locate a Model file for a custom operational report?  I was researching another report when I noticed that a previous report is no longer listed in our Project.  I can locate the schema (xsd) and rdf files but the model (.report) file is no longer showing.  The report is deployed and is running.  Is there a way to get the .report file back/recreated?  We do not use the build_home concept for our custom objects.

I want to setup a sales part that can be invoiced but has no inventory cost and $0 zero sales price. It is not purchased part but just information. Is it possible as a non-inventory part? Thanks
