I am trying to fetch information for Category Objects.   We can see a great usage of having Category Objects in the Equipment structure, The Category would match very fine to represent the customer location and having functional and / or serial objects for the category.    The Current logic of the category is:One may NOT have any Functional object as a child to the category object The category can ONLY have one parent Can someone explain how the category of funcitonal objects are mentioned to be performed by the Category object? 

Serial Object can be created automatically in IFS/Equipment when the Sales Part is delivered on a Customer Order if the option ‘Create SM Object’ is marked on the sales part.  In this case, the identity of the Serial Object is automatically created by concatenating the Part Number (that the Sales Part is connected to) and the Serial Number. Is there a way to change this behavior and define a specific format to have serial object ids?

As of right now we have 75 fixed assets on our Co. 99 ledger that we are looking to transfer to Co. 35 without affecting the base value and current depreciation on the 75 fixed assets.Is there such a function or process in IFS Apps9 that can accomplish this?  

Hi there,Would like to know  why the cost is fetched as zero in time report tab. The employee had been linked to a craft id in organization basic data/craft catalogue .Here the craft id has not been fetched .Do we  need to select it in report in work order or will it get fetched automatically Is it due to the fact that no craft id is selected the cost is mentioned as zero taking the rate defined in maintenance organisation? Thank you in advance .

Dear All, On the CO lines weh ave the columns ‘Superior SM Object ID and ‘Create SM Object’. It was my understanding that we checked ‘Create SM Object’ when we wanted a Part Serial to be converted into a Serial Object at delivery, and that the ‘Superior SM Object ID’ was used to put that Serial Object in the structure so that it was visible in the Equipment Object Navigator. But I noticed recently that it does not exactly work as I imagined because when I create a CO line for an already existing Serial Object (delivered to customer from stock) - I didn’t use ‘Create SM Object’ because I thought I didn’t need this when the Serial Object already existed. But it turns out the object is not placed in the Equipment structure.  Is this corect behaviour? AM I missing something here?  Can anybody tell me more about the those 2 columns because I feel I don’t have a full idea on their behaviour. Best RegardsRoel

One of our customers is having issues with Maintenance Plan Generation for a Condition Based PM Action.  We are on IFS App 10, Update 11This is how the Object and PM Action are Setup.Serial Object with a Mileage Parameter Test Point (Value Type - Accumulated, Meter ID Required-Not Used) I created a PM Action with the following ConditionStart Value – 1500Interval – 1000Performed Value Based – No After setting the PM Action to Active, I added a New Reading Value of 1500 to the Measurements for Object Screen and then ran the Condition Generation to generate the Work Order.I processed and Finished the Work Order and started adding new measurements to the Measurements for Object Screen (1750, 2000, 2500). I ran Condition Generation to generate the next Work Order, which it did.   I processed and Finished the Work Order. I started adding new measurements (2750, 3000, 3250, 3500) and ran the Condition Generation.  No new Work Order was created.  I checked the background job and it executed an

The time registration is missing resource  id, - and if the transaction has already been transfered, we are not able to correct them… and they also seem to block closing of the reporting period in Finance. Do you have that problem as well ?  Regards, Heidi

The IFS10 version generates additional transactions if the M50 is related to Work Task.The client would like to turn it off, is it possible?The first transaction is related to WOISS , others two transacitons are generated automatically from Work Task. Is there option to turn off this logic ?

In IEE IFS Apps 10 UPD 14  A Key Maintenance user is receiving this error message after creating a new PM Revision (in Preliminary status), adding a couple of Work Task Templates, saving then trying to Activate the PM Revision.  I do not get that error when I try to duplicate it (I have ‘everything’ access as I am in IT). I can’t imagine what could be different in his permissions or user profile that could cause such as error. you can see that the task temp status for all three says Active.Any ideas? 

Hello, I want to set up some Serial Objects in our Equipment Hierarchy which may be operated, removed, repaired, and re-installed under different Functional Objects. A simple example is a Diesel Particulate filter, which we remove from the machine for cleaning every 1000 hours, place in the warehouse, then re-install on another machine at some later time. The DP filter is scrapped once it has reached 12,500 hours, so it is important we are able to track the operating hours no matter where the filter has been installed.Is there a way that the Serial Object can accumulate the engine hours recorded on the parent Functional Object for the duration which it is installed on this Object? I have not been able to find a way to do this without a great amount of tedium. Hopefully this makes sense, and any help is appreciated! Thanks

Hi everyone,I hope you can help me out with a little issue. The configuration:Display Contract = TrueMCH_Code = Trueand more. Then an object got connected to the GIS object via GIS Connections.While that is done we expect the information to be shown in the GIS map. However the GIS map shows no Object information. What could cause the issue with not showing the data? I checked the setup against the LKP TST 21R2 environment and it is the same, but there it is working and showing the information.Thanks in advance 😊.

Dear community,is it really standard, that the status of a completed Work Assignment doesn’t change the Work Task status to “Work Done” anymore? I see that behaviour on the 21R2 ifscloudr2bnt-lkp.rnd.ifsdevworld.com environment.From an organicational point of view, that is not good, since I would check for Work Tasks in state “Work Done” to proceed in the process. Or do we expect the backoffice to check on Work Assignments in IFS Cloud 21R2? T&RDADUDE

If working with PM structure, there will be some strange issues.In this test scenario I have two PM actions with same Event but with different Interval.The PM action 'x' should be generated all the time when trigger the ‘Event generation’ job.PM action 'y' should be included in the structure every third time the ‘Event generation’ job are triggered.But when trying to connect PM action 'x' and 'y' together the PM action 'y' will be updated with the same interval that exits on PM action 'x'.- Yes, the warning message will tell me that (see screen shot 5 in attached document)Attached document include test scenarios from our customer build place and can also be recreated in customer use place environment.I don’t think that is okay, because we want them to be connected to each other in structure every third time, not every time.I hope I can attached a document after this is saved. where I have a step by step instruction. 

HIIf we have sold a manufactured part with a large serialized structure, but didn’t create the Serial Objects as part of the process (“Create SM Object” not set on CO line) – what is then the easiest way to create the full serial object structure for that part afterwards?I know objects can be created manually using “Serial Object” window or using the “Make Maintenance Aware” window, but both creates only one object at a time and not the underlying structure.BR Kristian

When Apps 10 came out there was a disconnect from purchasing in Work Order for non-inventory parts. Case G1981255 was filed at the time. It seems that this is still a problem. The Non-Inventory purchase that is extremely common in Service Work Orders for subcontracting is still not hitting WIP or COGS. I see that it hits M93 and then TP3 it never converts. Is there a plan to fix this? We also lost the ability to capture the cost at receipt which is also a huge problem in the Service industry, as we need to bill the customer as quickly as possible and not have to wait until the invoice is put through.

Hello - We are on IFS10 UPD13.  We are receiving the below error message when trying to move a serial object to a different belongs to object ID.  Is there a restriction where a serial object can not be moved if it is being used?  The error does seem to be misleading.  We have closed all work orders, work tasks and PM actions and are still unable to move the serial object.  Has anyone else come across this issue?Thanks   

Hi everyone, in Apps10 EE I'd like to know if it's possible to cancel a WO even if a PO linked to it has already been received in inventory and closed. I'd add that I've tried to unreserve all in inventory but nothing better. Now I have no reserved parts for this WO, a closed PO but when I try to cancel it, the system pops up an error message telling that I cannot cancel a work task becasue a PO exists on it. However, this last one is closed... Does it mean that we're not allowed to cancel a WO after receiving parts from a PO on it?Thanks

Hi All,When we have a location that is connected to the customer address it must be a visit address for service to use the address on work orders. When we create a new service request using this functional object that has that location ID. Service request starts off with no address on it. If the party type ‘location’ is connected, address will be fetched correctly. This makes using the customer address connection completely useless on creating service requests. Does anyone know the reason behind this behavior?  Thanks & Best Regards,Nipun

We want to give commission to our customer depend on yearly sales. Is it possible by using "commission windows"? how can we handle commission receiver & where we get invoice on this commission in system ?
