Hello,We are running IFS Cloud 25R2SU07 with 120 users. The middel tier has 128 GB of memory, but only 25 GB is userd. We tried to downsize for cost reduction to 98 GB of memory, but IFS MT was not starting at all.Did you experience this kind of behaviour  in your Remote Cloud deployment ?Your feedback is welcome.

Dear Team,Has anyone worked with IFS on Business Value Assurance (BVA) as part of an IFS Cloud upgrade, ERP implementation or business transformation programme?IFS describes its approach in three stages:Model the Business Value: Establish a shared vision using the IFS Six-Box Model™, covering strategic initiatives, KPIs, current and desired future states, obstacles, enablers and the financial business case. Conduct a Business Value Assessment (BVA): Identify and assess potential process improvements, efficiency opportunities, cost reductions and other benefits arising from a proposed technical or process-driven change. Scope Delivery to Expected Value: Translate identified value drivers into prioritised implementation scope, aligning delivery and adoption with the intended business outcomes. The approach sounds relevant, but I would like to understand how it has been applied in practice and what value it has delivered for customers. For those who have used BVA with IFS, I would appreciat

We are in progress of migrating data from our legacy application to IFS cloud, with respect to Unstructured data we have files such as Images, PDFs, documents and Certificates to be migrated. So while going through the IFS documentation we were able to see IFS cloud File migration tool has the capability to achieve our goal, However we saw contradicting statements in the documentations as below: “This tool copies BLOBs/files from almost any source database to Cloud File Storage” “the intended audience as customers upgrading from IFS Applications to IFS Cloud”“the required FsMigTool.sql is ONLY meant to be installed in the IFS Applications source database.” Could any one help to get a clarity here, also if there are any other approaches we should take mention that as well.

Dear Team,I am new to IFS cloud deplyong the solution on-premises. Kindly recommend third-party tools that I can deploy to help me with managing user licenses and that can also be used on other platforms. Also if there are tools i can use for helping in administration and they are not part of the default delivery.

When the PM Action is generated, I would like the planned start time to be set to 19:00.Is it possible to control the generated PM Action timestamp in IFS 10 enterprise

I am trying to model a process called pre-staging in IFS Cloud where a manufactured part is tested together with several other parts, including both manufactured and purchased parts. The test itself does not consume the components, but I need to document which components were used for which test, including serial numbers.I also need to record the fact that this test takes time and money, so it would be important to document the test effort and related cost as well. Ideally, the solution should capture both the technical traceability and the business aspect of the test execution. Is there a standard IFS Cloud solution for this requirement? If yes, which standard process or standard object should I use to record test usage, serial number traceability, and test cost/time documentation without building a custom solution?

Hi all,We want to restrict the IFS Navigator view for certain end-users (e.g., requisitioners) so they don't see unnecessary top-level folders or modules in the left menu tree, such as "Project Management".However, these users still need to perform specific actions that rely on those modules—for example, attaching a Purchase Requisition line to a Project Activity using the Project Activity LOV/Lookup dialog.I am aware that removing nodes under "Presentation Objects by Navigator" is one way to hide menu items, but doing so can inadvertently break embedded dialogs or LOVs if parent objects are revoked.I want to grant granular access under "Database Objects" (APIs/Views/Methods) to allow specific lookups while keeping the Navigator clean. However, finding the exact underlying database package/method for a specific lookup dialog in Permission Sets can be quite challenging. What is the best practice to grant LOV/Lookup permissions (e.g., ACTIVITY_LOV, PROJECT_LOV) under Database Objects wit

We have reviewed the material in IFS Cloud Customer Enablement Lunch and Learn and understand that IFS Cloud releases may be supported for up to two years. With 26R2 releasing on 15 Oct, can anyone please clarify the following questions:1. What is the official end-of-support date for IFS Cloud 26R1?2. Does 26R1 remain fully supported until completion of its two-year support period, and if so, what is the exact expiry date?3. When would customers on 26R1 be required to mandatory upgrade?4. Can customers remain on 26R1 until:27R2 is released?28R1 is released?Another specific release milestone?

Is it necessary to update the manifest required for the Excel add-in in conjunction with IFS Cloud updates? Also, if you are aware of the update procedure (including steps for end users of the Excel add-in), could you please let me know?

In IFS cloud what data is the Acquisition Date in fixed assets populated with?

Hi all, I work with IFS and I’ve been assigned a manual data-check task I’d like to automate. The check works like this: for each manufacturing order I have to check wheter I have or not enough raw material, if yes release to production, if not check if a purchasing order has placed and talk with procurement. What I’d like is a system that runs these checks automatically and sends me an email with a recap. It's very boring so I'd like to make it simplerI’m a business user, not a developer, so any pointers to documentation or examples would be very welcome. Thanks!

Hello,We recently upgraded from Apps 10 to IFS Cloud 25R1.In Apps 10, we were able to move a work task status back to the New status if there were no records associated/transacted with it. We’ve used this in cases where a user accidentally moves a task to Under Preparation prior to actually starting to work on the task. I can’t seem to find a way to do this in IFS Cloud, but I also cannot find any documentation that states this is restricted by design. Was this ability that was possible in Apps 10 taken away in Cloud? Or am I missing a step to be able to move it back into a New status? Thanks,Evan

I”m trying to find the official definition of the POS variable in the PDM/Basic Data/Defaults.  I know what it is for on the Consists Of tab in Engineering Part Navigator.  It is a 30 character field in DEFAULTS and it is alphanumeric.  NONE of the help information that I can find has any mention of this.  I’d thought that it was the default POS that is used when adding a component to an eBoM but that’s not the case in 26R1.Any ideas?Thank youPatrick

HelloWe have a customer requirement to have project pre-posting enabled on the M65 form.We would like to understand how project pre-posting can be included in the M65 form using the standard configuration. Is it possible to configure the standard settings so that the “Pre-posting” field is set to “Yes” by default for the M65 form? Could you please confirm whether this can be achieved through standard configuration, or if any customization is required? Thank you for your guidance. Pre posting for Project ID 80001  Purchase order with charges When I invoice a purchase order that includes charges, the project pre-posting does not appear on the M65 form Can you please help me?

Hi all,We have recently started working more extensively with IFS Demand Planning and are currently building several reports based on planning data. We are running IFS Cloud 25R2.One of the data elements we would like to access is the System Forecast generated by Demand Planning. Ideally, we are looking for a way to retrieve this data through both:REST API (for integration with external reporting applications) Database objects/views (for reporting directly within IFS)While investigating the data model, I found the view SYSTEM_FORECAST and the table SYSTEM_FORECAST_RTB, but both appear to contain no data in our environment.I also tried accessing the SystemForecastSet projection through the REST API, but this entity set is currently returning no records as well.My questions are:Is there a supported way to access the System Forecast values generated by Demand Planning? Are there any prerequisites, jobs, or configuration settings required before data becomes available in the database objec

Hi Community, Does anyone have experience setting up calculated tax in the Travel Expense module? As far as I understand, it is only possible to set up the posting control TX2 – Travel Expense Tax. Unlike the INVOIC module, there do not seem to be equivalent posting controls for calculated tax such as IP9 – Tax Received, Calculated and IP10 – Tax Disbursed, Calculated. I have assigned a tax code for calculated tax to an expense code in the Expense Rule view. However, when I create and post an expense sheet using that expense code, no tax voucher lines are generated, and no transactions are created in the Tax Transactions view. This seems like a significant limitation for EU customers planning to use the Travel Expense module, as no tax voucher lines or tax transactions are created for VAT reporting purposes. Any insights or workarounds would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

A specific requirement from a client is to involve the activated Authorization Assigning Rule in the Posting Proposal and the status of the same to be “AwaitAuth” where the Finance users will authorize the invoice postings based on the code part combinations in the assigning rule. However, the Posting Authorization is set to “Automatic Authorization” in the PO Matching in the company setup. Due to this, all the PO based invoices are receiving a status of “Auth” in the Posting Proposal and the assigning rule is not being considered. The reason for this requirement is to validate those invoices where expense accounts on which period allocation is required are reviewed by Finance Manager before approval and voucher creation and all other invoices to go directly in “Auth” status and can be posted by finance users without any authorizations. Is there a way to include the assigning rule in the Posting Proposal and the status of the same to be “AwaitAuth” by not changing the company setup?

21r2, using Chrome and with Aurena Agent installed, I find that the “eye” preview icon on a document attachment opens a PDF in the browser, whereas if i go to the document and click “View” i get the standard docman download to local checkout path. What’s the reason for the difference? Is there a way to get the eye/in-browser preview elsewhere?Preview in browser:

Dear IFS experts,I have a question regarding manufacturing. How can we provide materials for a shop order that will be produced the next day (or on another future day)?Taking the following points into account:the sequence of the materials the location of the materialsIs that possible in IFS Cloud, and if so, how? Thank you in advance.

Hi,I simulated a test case in a test environment to investigate the difference between Shop Order Costs and Project Monitoring costs in IFS Cloud. The test case was as follows: Part A was added to project demand using request type Project MRP. A parent Shop Order was created for Part A, requiring 3 pcs of Part B. A child Shop Order was created for Part B to produce 3 pcs as project inventory. For the purpose of this test, I modified S of Part B by adding a high-cost component. This was done intentionally to make the cost flow and any differences between the child and parent Shop Orders clearly visible. There was no DOP connection between Part A and Part B. The child Shop Order was completed, and the 3 pcs were received into inventory. I then issued these 3 pcs directly from inventory to the parent Shop Order. Both Shop Orders were connected to the same project activity. The parent Shop Order was then completed. The costs shown in Shop Order Costs are: Child Shop Order B a

We’ve started using a MS Graph connection to retrieve details of devices maintained in Intune so that our assyst CMDB can be updated without manual intervention.  However, the ICCID (SIM ID) value is always returned as a literal value of ‘null’, even though the value is visible when looking at the device details. Is there a way to configure an datamapper to use a GET command to return additional details, please?Google/Copilot is my friend, of course, and I found this detail, but not sure how it should/if it can be configuredmanagedDevice resource type - Microsoft Graph beta | Microsoft LearnThanks, Steven
