I”m trying to find the official definition of the POS variable in the PDM/Basic Data/Defaults. I know what it is for on the Consists Of tab in Engineering Part Navigator. It is a 30 character field in DEFAULTS and it is alphanumeric. NONE of the help information that I can find has any mention of this. I’d thought that it was the default POS that is used when adding a component to an eBoM but that’s not the case in 26R1.
Any ideas?

It looks like Matt Watters answered this 4 years ago and aligns with what I thought. It is for the CAD interface.
