Getting Started with IFS

Hello ALL, I have a question : I receive from my customer an ORDER via EDI (FTP). The customer order line no = 1000. When It gets integrated into IFS as an incoming customer order line , then to a customer order it gets truncated to 1. Do you have an idea how to prevent this change? Hello - We recently switched from standard cost to average weighted cost as our inventory valuation method. We are trying to figure out if there is a way to have one of the cost sets accurately reflect the average cost of purchased materials instead of using estimated material cost. One example to help explain what we are looking for is is that we are starting to put tariff expenses directly tied to a part on the purchase order line as an “additional cost”. We don’t want to change the base estimated material cost, but want the average cost of that part to be reflected accurately in one of the cost sets so we can use that for quoting and analysis purposes. Currently, those additional tariff costs would not be reflected in any of the cost sets for that part. Additionally, beyond tariffs if we are sourcing something from a temporary supplier at a different cost than normal we would like a cost set to reflect the average purchase price. Hi all, Have you ever encountered a situation where you had to manage the relationship between an inventory part with inventory expiration tracking and MRP usage?In other words, there is an inventory part and it has an expiration date. In the standard structure, the system manages the supply process by considering the expiration date into account during the MRP calculation.However, in the MRP calculation logic, it is requested to make MRP calculations by ignoring the expiration date, is this request possible?Could you share your experiences and knowledge? Hi, We issued a manual invoice in April, but it was mistakenly posted to May. Now we’re unable to register the payment for this invoice in April. What is the workaround for this issue? Is it possible to repost the invoice to a different period? We use IFS 8. Regatds Adam

I am trying to create a pick and pack process within my warehouse and have worked out the process in IFScloud and have the below stumbling blocks which I hope can be resolved. In the shipment type there is an option to add a custom event for printing a shipment handling unit label, I have worked out the sub handling unit creation within a top level handling unit so I can attach items individually within a shipment and get individual labels to generate for each picked item. The main issue I am having is that all of the labels print when you confirm a pick, how do I get them to print individually and not repeat when I add additional units as it will reprint previously packed labels and then print blank labels for sub handling units? Also is possible to default users accounts to label printers through the report picking process in wadaco so they can be more mobile in the picking operation? We have an issue with planned monthly maintenance. As an example the maintenance activity is planned to happen on the first day of every month . But if we have marked the particular day as an exception in the calendar , the maintenance activity skipped for next month rather than shifting in to the second day of the month which has no exceptions marked in the calendar. Can we know how to mitigate this condition ? (Ex : If 01st of May is an exception marked, the maintenance activity shift to 01st of June rather than shifting to 2nd of May )

Hello Team, I wanted to reach out about a customer order that I am having trouble delivering. Upon checking, I noticed that no pick list has been created even though all the lines have been picked for this order. It seems like the user might have picked it from the quick order flow handling. Additionally, there is no shipment connected to this customer order. I have tried creating a shipment for this order, but unfortunately, no lines are showing up in the Available Order Lines tab of the shipment in order to deliver the picked quantities. Could you please assist me with this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Greetings! As I was filling out DOP Header when i was done there was a red exclamation point after Tire Brand. I double checked the Part Config, Config Family, there is a rule written for this customer to allow “Customer Supplied” tire brand but I still could not get it to work. IFS Apps 10

Hi, Please could someone help me journal a cost against a work task/work order? Our employees who work out in the field often use their credit cards make purchases which relate to a particular work task/order. I post the credit card expenses monthly using a journal and include the work task reference in the ‘reference series/reference number’ boxes. I am wondering if there is a way for me to link these expenses to the relevant work order/work task. Thanks!

Dear all, we recently update our IFS Application 10 to release 23. This release includes the definition of Rental Properties in Country Solution Spain. We have our system connected to SII system of Spanish Tax authority to send directly our customer invoices from IFS. After updating to release 23 we find that our generated xml invoice files add the property labels <DatosInmueble><DetalleInmueble><SituacionInmueble/><ReferenciaCatastral/></DetalleInmueble></DatosInmueble> Anyone has experience the same issue and knows how to control that the labels appear or not in the invoice? Hello, we are currently solving an implementation between Tacton CPQ and IFS Cloud and we are facing an issue when we need to transfer not just the GPN (part number) onto the customer order line but we would like to transfer the basic characteristics as well. I mean … I want to transfer a package. But I want to transfer the information that the package is 200 mm x 200 mm. Any idea on how to proceed on the matter? Is there a specific website or recruiting source in order to find IFS Cloud users? We have found agencies- but hefty fees associated with direct hires. Hi, Looking at the current documentation for IFS Cloud 24R2. I understand it is NOT possible to create a Request Quote directly from a business opportunity (unlike a Sales Quotation or Service Quotation which CAN be created from a Business Opportunity). If it is not possible to create a Request Quotation from a Business Opportunity - is this something RND are considering for a future release to align the Request Quote with the other IFS Quotation transactions? Hi everyone, I’m looking for some help with a question related to data entry in IFS. Is there a way to copy and paste multiple cells from Excel into IFS at once? For example, if I have a single line of data with three consecutive cells in Excel, I’d like to paste them directly into three consecutive fields in IFS — without having to copy and paste each one individually. I’ve tried this, but IFS just pastes everything into a single field instead of spreading the values across multiple fields. Hi everyone, I’m hoping someone can help me with a question regarding IFS8. I’m trying to find a more efficient way to upload bulk data into IFS using Excel. Apart from the standard Data Migration tool, is there any alternative method? For example, since we’re able to export data from IFS to Excel, I’m wondering if there’s a way to update that same file and then push the changes back into IFS — essentially creating a live link or a quick import method. Is that kind of integration possible? The reason I ask is that I'm currently spending a lot of time manually entering data into IFS — line by line — which is very time-consuming and inefficient. Organisation Unit Organisation Structure First question, is this the sequence of load? first Org Unit and second Org structure? If this answer is above is Yes, then i am getting the error below: ORA-20124: Error.NULLVALUE: Field [SUP_ORG_CODE] is mandatory for Company Org and requires a value.
