Are there any users/customers who has recently upgraded to PSO 6 update 5 from PSO 6.1?Basically who has upgraded from the Silverlight version and started using the HTML version (on Chrome and other browsers).If someone can share their experience, lessons learnt/ challenges faced, it would be great for us to travel that path and get rid of some of the obstacles someone else has already faced.

I am doing an upgrade of custom events and fields in Applications 10. I have two instances of Apps 10: In one instance I am adding all the custom events and custom fields to configuration packages. I am then importing those package in another instance of Apps10. The custom events in the packages already exist in the Apps10 instance I am importing them to. However when I import them it tells me that the custom event already exists (which is true) and in the case of the custom fields it does not overwrite the the existing field, it creates a new one with “_2” appended to the name.When I was creating the packages there wasn’t a setting to allow me to overwrite the object I am exporting if it already exists in the IFS instance that I import it to. Likewise when i imported the package I was not given the option to overwrite the object if it already exists. Is this the way Configuration Packages  work? It isn’t possible for me to delete all the objects in the db before the import.

Hi,Do you know, if it is possible to migrate predefined HU IDs to products in stock? This is for the situation where we would like to start actual labelling of stock before IFS10 database is  available for HU ID creation?

I was used to be able to find the ‘Whats new in IFS apps Update x’ in OpenIFS. Since this platform has been taken offline, I haven’t been able to find the latest updates. Where can I find those now? I’m particularly looking for UDP8. 

We are running on IFS 10,5 and we are planning an upgrade before year-end.According to the Spring Road map, the update 9 should be available in August 2020.Does anybody know if the 10.9 version is around the corner ?Thanks   

Hello,Does any one know the setup of IFSDOC manually. I have configured a instance without Documentation. Now I have to configure the same. Have copied all the required folders (Atleast) what I could understand and changed configuration. Still the documentation is not working.are there any steps which can be followed to configure. I think some configuration is required in apache or wl. not sure what and whereAny help will be truly appriciatedRegardsPankaj

Has anyone heavily customised IFS apps 9 to suit their business? we are looking to upgrade from Apps 9 to Apps 10 in the next year and am wondering if we will lose any functionality from our customisations. Has anyone had any major problems moving from apps 9 to 10? Am considering a customisation freeze  to make sure the process has as less need for regression testing. Perhaps am being over cautious? we have a number of improvement requests to streamline IFS for the business and don’t want to stifle potential time/effort saving initiatives.   Thanks   

we plan to upgrade from IFS application v9.5 to IFS v2020, is it possible? or need from v9 to v10 then v2020? is there any detail steps?

We are running Apps 9 and have a number of improvements requested by the business, most simple things like referenced fields and events but am aware with the need to move to Apps10 that these little tweaks may not work as expected in the latest version. How do you guys manage your improvements? - Is it a free-for-all or do you follow a process?

Hello, is there anywhere specific to provide general improvement suggestion feedback about IFS? I’m talking about things that aren’t bugs per se and don’t really count as support cases but rather suggestions that could make IFS better - a suggestion box.

Hi everyone,  we are currently upgrading from APPS9 to APPS10. Today I tried to export the Overview Part Cost History as a CSV-File in our IFS10 test environment.  I got an error saying that I can only export a maximum of 10000 rows.    Does anybody know how to expand the row limit for a CSV-Export? I never got that message on IFS9.   Thanks in advance.

Don’t laugh - I know, 2003, yeah!   Does anyone have a copy of the Data Import executable that allows you to load in new records, and update existing data in IFS2003. I cannot remember the name of it. Since my laptop rebuild, I have lost it! IFS support didn’t want to know. Thanks in advance.   TIm

Hi, We are upgarding APPS10-UPD3 to UPD7. When we are deploying it from Installer it is working fine without any issue and and no invalid objects. Its successful. But when we are deploying it manually using install.tem, there are issue and the upgrade is failing. Is there any more scripts we need to execute before the install.tem? hi, We are upgrading to V10, current standard reports in 8 needed to be imported to 10. Some suggested the version change is not an issue just needed to update the layout in 10. We have minor customisation on these reports and don't have developer license so cant do any changes to run in version 10.  Will the reports work as it is in v10 if no customisation done in v8 reports with customisation what are the chances report may work in 10 thank you

Hi all, We have an event on shopord.work_instruc_printed (apps9).   When testing on apps10, we realize that the field, work_instruc_printed, does not exists. We obviously have to rewrite the event, but can we somehow have it work on both 9 and 10?

Dear esteemed Members,   Our customer is planning to upgrade OS to Win Server 2016 Std or 2019 Std from 2008 R2 for its IFS App Ver 8 Sp2 instance. Apps 7.5 had a cool enhancement to Operational Reporting called ‘iPrinting’ which was a UK customisation. It allowed additional data to be pulled into a report layout which could then be used by Report Designer. This feature appeared to disappear by the time Apps 9 came along and I wondered whether anyone has come across this? Custom Fields offer some assistance but what they do not provide is ‘sub queries’ of data. e.g. Customer Invoices lines report the Lot/Batch Number of the invoice qty but I want to then show a break down of that quantity across the batches. This would require a sub-query of the inventory transaction history or something to show the separate lot ref and qty. I used to be able to do this using iPrinting but I can’t see way to do it with custom fields. Anyone got any ideas?
