Hi everyone. This is in regards to IFS 9. Right now when I have been applying deliveries or performing reconfigurations on IFS instances, whenever there is an error that results in the IFS instance becoming unusable I have been taking a snapshot of the server the instance is running on before hand and then rolling back to that state. I’m noticing some issues when I do it like this however:Sometimes this causes an issue where wls diagnostic files keep being generated and not deleted. This causes all the space on the drive to be filled and the instance eventually stops working until all the diagnostic files are deleted and the as server is stopped and restarted. Reconfigurations no longer work properly. When I perform a reconfiguration it has errors. The instance still works afterwards, but the node managers no longer seem to function properly. Hi Everyone I’m trying to install a weblogic delivery and getting a recurring error message. This is on IFS Apps 9.Client version 9.0.60.0 Server version 6.90.21.0. I am getting a “failed executing build target” error. whenever the installer gets to the “installing middleware server message” After checking the pre-installer.log files, I find this notable error message:ORI’ve tried this installation a couple times on different test instances, and get this error on different files as can be seen above. I initially thought this might be a permissions issue, but after checking permissions on the folders running the installer as admin should be granting full access to files and folders. I’ve found online that the java.io.filenotFoundException can be generated when a file is in use and trying to be written to. Do any services need to be stopped in order to apply this delivery? I ran the stop all servers administration script prior to executing, but this doesn’t seem to be enough.  Thanks!Lav

We installed IFS10/Update 13 yesterday and ran into the same problem as bescribed in Problem with installation Update 10 for IFS 10 | IFS Community. The folder D:\<ifs10>\ifs_home\mw_home\mws was empty. It was therefore not possible to start Installer or mws-svr.  Luckily we had a backup of the last D:\<ifs10>\ifs_home\mw_home\mws. After copying the files to the right place it was possible to start the Installer again and then reconfigure.Anothing issue. The installation of Update 13 took 22 hours. The reason is that we have a lot of Word Orders and Work Order Tasks. In Update 13 there are several POST-scripts for WO/WOT

We see that the missing copy/paste functionality for Travel Expenses is still missing in UPD15 in IFS10. There is no Duplicate functionality either. This is really something our users are missing. It’s available in IEE.  The same topic has been raised around the Community.Aurena - Duplicate Line | IFS CommunityAurena Vs Enterprise Explorer | IFS Community What is IFS Roadmap for supporting this?

Is there any documentation where changes between updates can be found (preferably in a table format; excel) so it can be easily compared with previous updates? Also, including bugfixes included in the update with the respective modules effected. This would be helpful to compare and differentiate between updates.

Anyone already did the Windows 10 Update 20H2 released a few weeks ago and faced problems with IFS 10 Upd 9 ? Any word when it will be certified by IFS ?  

Our network admin has pushed out the extension to most of computers in our company. Users still have to go to Chrome store to enable it. Is there a way to automatically enable it to save the manual step? Thanks.Wen

After we fetched  Release Update 2021.R2  on an 2021.R2.6 to Customer Baseline. After this we get an error when runing BP_MAIN_PIPELINE. Does any or can anyone point me in the direction of the delta between APS9 to APS 10 conversion/implementation.  I heard one of our departments say its is minor but from some of the threads I have read contradicts this.  Thanks in advance.M

The update for HTM for Scandinavia is set to February 2022. Is there a date set when this is available?  

Hi Communitywe want to connect a "real" DMS to our IFS via interface for various reasons. The question came up if this is possible via SOAP or REST. We are using current Apps 10 with update 8. Does anyone know which IFS version is necessary to use the REST?We do not receive any information on this from IFS.André

After implementing the “IFS Solution ID 298974” fromImpact of CVE-2021-44228 on IFS Products, Services | IFS Community the “Verification instructions” is:Using a search engine like AgentRansack that can search within compressed files, scan the IFS-Home for instances of the JndiLookup.class (including instances within .jar, .ear and .war files) But there are a number of “log4j-core-2.8.2.jar” (CVE-2021-44228) still being used in the application. By searching the associated handles in the resource manager, there is about 6 process running per environment. Is there any plan/recommendations of these files?

We are upgrading to IFS10 and will only be using the IEE. Our people keep trying to use the Aurena option and we would like to remove it from the landing page. Is that possible?

As we know, there will be no Sticky Notes in IFS Cloud.What did you do with the already existing Sticky Notes from Apps9 (or other old versions)?Do you use the Notes function in the masks or Custom Fields or something other?We are using them a lot in Apps 9 and we have currently no good idea how to migrate or make the data available in IFS Cloud. So what is the common praxis with it or what is the suggested solution from IFS. Best regards,Andreas

In applying the latest UD17 update I received this error during reconfiguration.The file is not located in the bin folder as noted below.D:\ifs\extsvr\ESNGDEV\repository\server\install_fndmws.xml:1413: IOException in D:\ifs\extsvr\ESNGDEV\bin\mws_patch.cmd - java.io.FileNotFoundException:D:\ifs\extsvr\ESNGDEV\bin\mws_patch.cmd (Access is denied) Also in review of the Oracle inventory I do not see any OracleHome references that I saw prior to the update. See below. We are at the beginning of the upgrade journey but having only been on Apps9 for 2 years the business are a little reluctant on upgrading.Wondering if anyone else has experienced the same, and if anyone is choosing to remain on restricted support or do they pay to uplift to extended beyond the IFS product lifecycle?

I have this folder structure:ifsroot1fsroot2ifsroot3for different installations. I do not fancy that part from the help file:Place the config file to its default locationThe default path for the kubeconfig file is c:\user\<YourUser>\.kube\config. Copy the file ifsroot\config\kube\config to c:\user\<YourUser>\.kube folder since I need to do it every single time I decide to use ifsroot1, 2 or 3.This part seems cleaner in my view as you don’t risk to have unintended config file:Powershellps> $env:KUBECONFIG = "ifsroot\config\kube\config" Cmdcmd> set KUBECONFIG=ifsroot\config\kube\config But what about --kubeconfig directive?.
