ENVIRONMENT: IFS Cloud 22 R1 Service Update 3 AUDIENCE: All RESOLUTION/ANSWER:While installing the Release Update (22.1.3) to the customer environment, The update was not successful, and The installer just stopped at step “Remove_Inactive_Metadata”.From the Root cause analysis, it looks like the problem is in the procedure Insert_Navigation_Entries (FndNavigator) due to the amount of data in fnd_navigator_structure_tab and fnd_navigator_entry_tab (approx. 1100000 rows). WORKAROUND: Unpublish the custom navigation entries from the application and continue with the update.Solution: RnD confirmed that this is fixed with 22.1.6 CAUSE: N/AADDITIONAL INFORMATION: N/ASCRIPTS/LOGS: N/A SOURCE: Shehan Chandrasekara VERIFIED:

Hi All We are currently investigating a DR scenario whereby we recover IFS. Due to the requirements of the scenario we need to change the name of the Application Server - e.g. if it is called ifsapp1 we need to recover it to a new server called ifsapp2. We are confident in our steps to recover the database but the application server is proving trickier. We have been able to create a new application server from a backup of the current application server and we have renamed the server itself. Where we are struggling is updating the configuration for IFS to pick up the name change of the server. We have tried updating the following files,  replacing the "old" Application Server to the "new" Application Server name, but this has not been enough:E:\IFS\IFSExt\IFSD\instance\IFSD    IFSD_configuration.xml    build.properties    IFSD_configuration_delivery.xmlE:\IFS\IFSExt\IFSD\instance\IFSD\bin   mws.propertiesE:\IFS\IFSExt\IFSD\instance\IFSD\conf   login.config Any help or advice would be gr

Has anyone heard of the End of Life for the IEE platform.  We are in the process of implementing IFS and don’t think that the Aurena platform has all of the mature functionality of IEE. If IEE is going to be around for the next 3-4 years I would lean to implementing the more mature platform than be a gunnie pig for a new platform.    

Dear All,We are working with one of our customer to rollout the application 9 in country of Romania and we found the translations for various reports in local currency is not available, any idea, can we get the translation file for Romania to import into IFS9 application or how to get the file for import?

My company is having an issue. At the moment, we are testing APPS10 with an expected go live date in November. Since testing, with a very limited set of users, we have noticed that some are getting .dll errors for pages they frequent. One day during testing they can see it, the next they can’t. In apps 9, the user could technically cause a .dll error if they cancel out of the download at the bottom when they first go to the page. In 10, there is no cancel button available when downloading the package to view the page (good improvement). We did some testing. While troubleshooting I moved the .dll file that the page was complaining about to a separate folder > went to “download all packages” > IFS realized it was missing 1 package and downloaded it > but we still can’t see the page until we delete everything out of the 2.0 folder. The only help I’ve gotten from IFS is to clear the cache which is essentially the equivalent of an uninstall/reinstall of the instance since it delete

After running the upgrade script from IFS7.5 to IFS10, when I checked SHOP_OPER_CLOCKING_TAB, the data was deleted and SHOP_OPER_CLOCKING_120 was created.SHOP_OPER_CLOCKING is a breaking change in functionality, so column mapping is not possible.Is there a good way to migrate SHOP_OPER_CLOCKING_TAB data when upgrading from IFS7.5 to IFS10?

Hi,We are migration our IFS to IFS Cloud and when we try to install the certificate on the MW we have de error below. I’ve tried many option and any of them worked. Our server is on-premises and we want to install a wild card. Did anyone have problems to install the certificate?  

Hi..  In APP 09 the “Export to Excel” option is available when RMB in the navigator for quick reports.   Recently noticed that the “Export to Excel” option is missing in APP 10  Is this option removed from APP 10 or is there any way to enable it?  

My remote cloud customer would like to configure not dhcp address but the static ip address to Ubuntu Linux boxHow this can be done? Also that connection should recognize all the names like www.google.fi when you use pinging only a nameBrSimo Kallio 

HiWe need to add the ‘&’ as a search prompt in Aurena.When trying to do this the normal way, we get this result below, which is not what we need.We need to have the ‘&’ as a search prompt on all screens.How do we go about adding that?‘

Selecting creation of new build homeUpgrading a solution (APPS9) to IFS cloud. Have an Active build place for remote deployment. Go to create a new build home and the error ‘Implimentation mode update request failed’ come up when clicking apply.

How can end users view quick reports in Aurena. Looks like there is no way for the end user to view Quick Reports the way that they can in IEE. Also curious how to create a quick report in Aurena, currently, it looks like this is also not possible like it is in IEE.

After we updated to IFS 10 Update 14, when we are creating sales quotations with configurable parts on it, when we walk through the Configuration options the configuration never goes into a complete status. We found a work around of Parking the configuration and then we are able to RMB on it and Complete the configuration.

HiInstallation of IFS 9 on windows 2016 worked pretty well except F1 Help does not work. Probably some security on servers or networks. Has anyone encountered it before?  Ideas are appreciated./Håkan  

We find that database sessions remain in inactive status for a period of time. Our users logon to IFS applications and we can see the new session. When the user, via the File->Exit menu option, logs off the application, the session remains. The attached example illustrates this. This Test User logged off over 5 hours ago but there are frequent calls to the database. Should these sessions be killed off automatically with the middleware server session and if so whats the best way to configure this?Using the RMB option Kill Session from Solution Manager->Monitoring->Database Sessions successfully terminates the session.It seems like the system hangs onto permissions. For example if we grant a permissions set to a user and they log on (with no inactive sessions existing) then the permissions are applied. if the user then logs off and we apply different permissions (at this point there will be an existing inactive session), then these new permissions are not applied. Dear Experts:How much does a typical upgrade change on the infrastructure / Azure side? If we connect an Express route/ on premise connection and split the external / internal traffic – are we OK to do so? Without an update undoing the connections?If we add tags to Azure resources, Monitors + Logging workspaces for cost breakdown and future troubleshooting, will they remain via most typical upgrades ?The database pricing tier- should be need more compute, which is set at installation time. will this be changes with an upgrade? The conditionnal formatting  is no longer an option in Aurena, this is a big lost for the Aurena’s users.  This feature is necessary and beneficial to avoir errors, omissions and to draw attention to the important fiels that needs to be filled and, this, in all Aurena’s modules.

What are the prerequisites needed to upgrade to 22R1? I basically need to know whether it is possible to upgrade from 21R1 to 22R1 directly? If so what is the minimum SU it should have in 21R1?  Best Regards,Chamila 

Hello Information in “IFS Applications 10 Supported Platforms” says that there are planned support for Oracle 19c in IFSAPP 10 UPD6 (and higher). Can an IFS person verify that it is reality, and still not a plan. IF still a plan when will the app10 be supported on Oracle 19c

We are adding a shortcut for our users to open IFS on their desktops. The problem is, we are getting a blank tab in the browser every time it opens. Is there a way around this? 

Hi all,My customer is migrating from Apps75 to Apps10 UPD12.After the migration the customer imports the permission sets he has already prepared on another Apps10 environment. This has worked fine during the last runs.But this time after the permission set import he gets double entries in the permission set navigator (see attached screen shot).Has anyone already had this type of issue ?Best Regards,Fabrice
