We are recently in the process of Upgrade from 9 to 10 . Wanted to know if there is any checklist to see if the update is done properly.

Dear all,after selecting 3 more languages in the CBP, we followed the IFS process to merge and deliver them, only two of three are available. The Language for 'SL' is missing. Hi all,APPs 10 Upd 11.It use to be the case that running the ifshome backup prior to installing a new delivery would take around 40 mins to complete by running the create backup script as admin.However, now it is taking over an hour to complete for a 20gb backup. After it passes the hour mark, this message appears and no backup is created. SEVERE: Panic message: Watchdog kicked in, operation takes too long time! Aborting… So, increased the watchdog timeout limit to 2 hours and now the backup is created but it is incomplete as it hits the 2 hour mark and the same error message appears. I dont think a mws backup should take this long to run seeing as the db backup completes in far less time that this.So just wondering what would be considered a “reasonable time” and any suggestions to fix? Thanks

We tried restoring from several backups , getting the following message . How to overcome and resolve this. Is cold backup the only solution.

Is there a comparison or paper that details added functionality included OOB for IFS Cloud that was not available in EE Apps 10?Realise that IFS may be able to complete a business assessment of current solution and advise what additional CRIMs etc may be required to replicate our current Apps 10 functionality for transitioning to IFS Cloud, but we are not at that point yet.Was hoping there may be a summary released as part of the IFS Cloud release, demos would indicate some good changes and streamlining of processes have been achieved.

We have been trying to get the IFS IEE Link Handler working since we went to IFS 10 APP 9. We have been using Microsoft Edge (Chromium based) for a couple of years now and have settings configured, but we cannot get the links to work using that exension. As soon as I loaded the ClickOnce for Chrome extension into Microsoft Edge, it worked flawlessly. I am trying to do an initial install of IFS Cloud (Remote).  The build place has been created but I was expecting to find an initial build home within the build place to use for the install, however there is not one present. I was able to use the new button Recreate Build Home to create a Build Home (after an initial sanity build) but this is situated under the Upgrade Build Home section.I have reviewed the documentation, but it is not 100% clear if the build home that is available should be used or not. 

Hi,Our IFS environment is currently on UPD10I am unable to get the TimmanJobTranses API REST ‘update’ action to work in post man, I keep on receiving this “Illegal operation” error message. see image below. I have already tried the followingRemove header parameter ‘If-Match’ I have got in contact with another IFS application user they are currently on UPD11 and the TimmanJobTranses API REST ‘update’ action is currently working in there environment. Is this a fixed issue in UPD11 and above?

Hi, How does our customers that have chosen IFS Cloud set up Azure AD SSO? Specifically what values are needed in the app registration? Below is what is used in IFS10. Is there any difference for IFS Cloud? I assume only web for IFS Cloud since IEE is gone Also where do we configure this in IFS on our side since we don't have the admin console any more? We can’t find any specific config for SSO in the yaml file. /Jacob

IFS 8 allowed the use of alpha values in the Outer Min and Outer Max fields on control plan parameters that had an attribute data type.  This does not appear to be the case in IFS 10. These values did not carry forward in the conversion script from IFS 8 to IFS 10 and when we attempt to add manually in IFS 10, we get a ‘Field Format is Invalid’ message.  Is there any configuration that is available that would enable the use of alpha values in the Min and Max fields.  Thank you.

Hello, While working with an IFS Consultant, we received the below error installing a delivery from IFS for Customer and Supplier Relationship Management Module in our IFS 10.6 Dev environment. Has anyone encountered this error before? Hello, we are aiming to introduce Aurena client to all our endusers and I am trying to find some video or training on how to control the Aurena client. I am looking for really the basics like how to use the search, how to change the column order, … I know presentation and video from Mr. Corrigan (https://www.gotostage.com/channel/4c8b006abd3344ea9a62605ba7c00c31/recording/6d7f101539db4b8e8b8cbeab5241a57f/watch) but it is too long and too much information for daily IFS users who need to open IFS, perform the task and close it. Responding to the threat posed by log4j, I am reading semi constantly that IFS app 9 is not affected. However. we have confirmed that the  log4j jar file is named with 1.2.17 versioning, and yet when we both Run defenderInvestigate the source data The indication is that the file is in fact 2.xx, specifically in this 2.12.1.  This is revealed in the META-INF/maven/log4j/log4j/pom.properties. See picture below Also, your KBA says:where when we check the file, we find Lookups as an option/folder.So our question, how and why our WD pcks up this, despite log4j not supporting it in 1.2.xx?   This leads me to believe that somewhere along the way, someone updated this. Can you verify? Thanks,. Hello IFS Community, We currently upgrading from IFS APPS 9 to Cloud, and are missing a key feature. In IFS Apps 9, we configured the Customer Order-> Customer Order Lines Tab to auto-create a new line after entering the Sale Qty. We could speed up order line entry by a couple of seconds for each line by enabling this functionality.This was enabled by navigating to object properties(tbwCustomerOrderLine) -> Behavior Tab-> Options - Enabling New record after 'Sales Qty'. We reached out to IFS R&D, and they confirmed this functionality is no longer available nor is it scheduled for development for IFS Cloud. The IFS technician recommended that I reach out to the community as an idea so it may be considered for a future release. Will your business miss this functionality, and does anyone know of any potential workarounds that we can implement in the Cloud framework? 

How to configure IFS installation, If database server is on another server and IFS app on different server

My customer has identified a field that was removed in UPD 12 (they are on UPD 10 right now) and are planning to go to UPD 14 soon.  They want to know if the field that was removed in UPD 12 has been put back in UPD 14. The field in question is in the below image.  Any superstars (or mere mortals) that can help will be appreciated. Thanks,

What are the system requirements for the IFS 9 update 8 App.Currently we are seeing a lot of users that are having memory issues when using IFS 9 update 8or the app is running slow on the clients computers.But the machines are all Intel Core i5 10th. gen. or 11th. gen. with 16GB of ram running latest version of windows 10 pro.

Machine name not visible in horizontal clustering in IFS Apps 10.Can someone let me know the possible causes for the same.

As we upgraded from IFS V8 to IFS v10 we no longer have IFS Talk.Yet i see this in the IFS Help . I was wondering why IFS talk would not be available in the menu  no moreregardsGuss

Before we upgrade to IFS V10 from IFS V8 we saw demos that Streams was part of the functionality. We have upgraded to IFS V10 and we notice that the Streams in under the Administration tab but it is not configured.Does this require a separate License ????regardsGuss
