IFS 8 allowed the use of alpha values in the Outer Min and Outer Max fields on control plan parameters that had an attribute data type.  This does not appear to be the case in IFS 10. These values did not carry forward in the conversion script from IFS 8 to IFS 10 and when we attempt to add manually in IFS 10, we get a ‘Field Format is Invalid’ message.  Is there any configuration that is available that would enable the use of alpha values in the Min and Max fields.  Thank you.

Hello, While working with an IFS Consultant, we received the below error installing a delivery from IFS for Customer and Supplier Relationship Management Module in our IFS 10.6 Dev environment. Has anyone encountered this error before? Hello, we are aiming to introduce Aurena client to all our endusers and I am trying to find some video or training on how to control the Aurena client. I am looking for really the basics like how to use the search, how to change the column order, … I know presentation and video from Mr. Corrigan (https://www.gotostage.com/channel/4c8b006abd3344ea9a62605ba7c00c31/recording/6d7f101539db4b8e8b8cbeab5241a57f/watch) but it is too long and too much information for daily IFS users who need to open IFS, perform the task and close it. Responding to the threat posed by log4j, I am reading semi constantly that IFS app 9 is not affected. However. we have confirmed that the  log4j jar file is named with 1.2.17 versioning, and yet when we both Run defenderInvestigate the source data The indication is that the file is in fact 2.xx, specifically in this 2.12.1.  This is revealed in the META-INF/maven/log4j/log4j/pom.properties. See picture below Also, your KBA says:where when we check the file, we find Lookups as an option/folder.So our question, how and why our WD pcks up this, despite log4j not supporting it in 1.2.xx?   This leads me to believe that somewhere along the way, someone updated this. Can you verify? Thanks,. Hello IFS Community, We currently upgrading from IFS APPS 9 to Cloud, and are missing a key feature. In IFS Apps 9, we configured the Customer Order-> Customer Order Lines Tab to auto-create a new line after entering the Sale Qty. We could speed up order line entry by a couple of seconds for each line by enabling this functionality.This was enabled by navigating to object properties(tbwCustomerOrderLine) -> Behavior Tab-> Options - Enabling New record after 'Sales Qty'. We reached out to IFS R&D, and they confirmed this functionality is no longer available nor is it scheduled for development for IFS Cloud. The IFS technician recommended that I reach out to the community as an idea so it may be considered for a future release. Will your business miss this functionality, and does anyone know of any potential workarounds that we can implement in the Cloud framework? 

How to configure IFS installation, If database server is on another server and IFS app on different server

Hi, we are running in IFS 8 SP1(Foundation1 SP2) version with old Log4j,  IFS will release some patch regarding this or we have to upgrade only the solution. Please update.

My customer has identified a field that was removed in UPD 12 (they are on UPD 10 right now) and are planning to go to UPD 14 soon.  They want to know if the field that was removed in UPD 12 has been put back in UPD 14. The field in question is in the below image.  Any superstars (or mere mortals) that can help will be appreciated. Thanks,

What are the system requirements for the IFS 9 update 8 App.Currently we are seeing a lot of users that are having memory issues when using IFS 9 update 8or the app is running slow on the clients computers.But the machines are all Intel Core i5 10th. gen. or 11th. gen. with 16GB of ram running latest version of windows 10 pro.

As we upgraded from IFS V8 to IFS v10 we no longer have IFS Talk.Yet i see this in the IFS Help . I was wondering why IFS talk would not be available in the menu  no moreregardsGuss

Before we upgrade to IFS V10 from IFS V8 we saw demos that Streams was part of the functionality. We have upgraded to IFS V10 and we notice that the Streams in under the Administration tab but it is not configured.Does this require a separate License ????regardsGuss

Hi all,Strange problem i have.I have a very long IAL that is calculating labour efficiency so hits time card, shop floor clockings, operation history and oper history.Runs fine when the IAL is set to live data only (apart from time card where i made a CLU to get that data before IFS HR gets in the way).Now when i switch over to copy all data. Which i need to do as it takes 30 mins to run. All the Hours clocked are 0’d off which comes from shop floor clockings.If i run the report from IFSAPP it shows correctly and in crystal the report shows correctly if im using the live data.So why when its copied data the number is 0’d off?I am thinking this is the HR module getting in the way but that should only happen with live data.Also i cant find anything wrong with the code plus it works.Permissions are fine for ifsinfo too. Im not sure what is different about storing the data when compared to the IAL view version.Bit odd. Otherwise i can keep it as live data and then schedule it but i dont wa

We are in the process of migrating from IFS 7.5 to IFS Cloud but we do need to keep our 7.5 environment serviceable for the short-term.I appreciate that it not the highest priority as there is likely a smaller customer base and it is an end-of-life product. However can we get some details regarding:The exposure of IFS 7.5 Environments to the Log4j vulnerability Expectations around if any patches, mitigations or updates will be provided to these environments if they are found to be exposed?Even if the answer is no, we do want to understand the exposure so we can take the right actions internally. Hi ! Everybody, Is there anyone can help me on this topic?I USE IFS8. In function Solution Manager\Configuration\Logs and Queues\Setup History Log, how can I see all settings existing quickly? So I know if they is the log setting already which I want. Otherwise I have to take about 3 minutes to find the component, table and field.   And is there anyone can give me a simple instruction on how to choice Sub forum? I really don’t know which sub forum should I select for this question. 

We are a customer with Developer License, we handle our own upgrades and are set as Prime. Our IFS rep has just set us as «Self Sevice Enabled» so we can get access to IFS bugs and patches. But they are unsure where we can access and download them. Their view is probably different from ours. Does anyone knows where we can access them? We have access to partner.ifs.com, community and support center. 

We have an on-premise server that is working with version 21.1.2, and we have previously gone through the build place update process to push the version in the build place to 21.1.4. this has generated a delivery. However have not yet applied that delivery to our on-premise server, but are now looking at moving up to 21.1.7. If we move the build place to 21.1.7 and then generate a delivery, does the 21.1.4 delivery need to be applied to the on-premise server, first THEN 21.1.7? Or can we just apply 21.1.7 and skip the older 21.1.4?

Hi,We are in the process of installing patches in our IFS environments, but we are unsure regarding the process as we are maintaining our own customization layer. Some background information around our build and delivery process:1. Merge update received from IFS into our archive folder.2. Generate a new build home (without our customizations)3. Generate a docker image containing the build home. This is done in order to run multiple builds at the same time. 4. Build and install a new delivery from-to the correct update version. 5. Continuously build and install deliveries including our customizations.Step 1-4 are we doing only once for each update.The question is, how are we going to include patches into this process? Do we have to add new patches to the archive folder and generate a new build home for each patch or series of patches?

I have a custom page with 1.5 million records that i need to highlight.When i try to select and page down, i am finding that it stops highlighting records after about 5 or so pages.However, if highlight and go up the page it keeps the records selected.So wondering, if i could skip to the bottom, it would make things easier.Does anyone know a quick easy way?I have tried CTRL down arrow, CTRL+SHIFT+END etc.. no joy!
