hello ,how to cater scrap material(assests,waste wood, paper, non capital item) in ifs,finance want to run whole process on ifs, till account receivable ,we sale over scrap material, multiple vendors participate who give highest bid we awarded to them  ,in the scrap every thing asset part and consumable part

I created an event action to trigger after the final PO authorization step is completed. The event action should update the Purchase Order state from Planned to Released using Purchase_Order_API.Release_Order. The API is called but it  does not update the status. However I am able to get the PO status to update to Released if I revoke the Authorization step. Is there something blocking the PO to be Released when the final step is Authorized?

Is there any documentation for IFS Cloud Subcontracting which explains the overall process where subcontracting is connecting to Projects and Procurement. Thanks

24R2.  I have a Shipment that resulted from one Shipment Order where both Sender and Receiver of Type = Site.  I used the Create Consolidated Pick List for Shipment process to try to create pick lists by Storage Zone.  It does not create any pick lists, but the background process also does not fail.  If I use Customer Order instead of Shipment Order, same lines, same process, the pick lists are created.

We can’t understand the price in the supplier purchase price list when we set up a price convertion factor in the supplier for purchase part. Example 1: Price setup in the supplier for purcahse part (CORRECT RESULT)Purchase Part with a Price of 10£ Price Covertion Factor = 100 When we run a Price comparaison for a quantity of 1 PCS, we get the price = 0.10£ =10$/100 whitch is CORRECT. Example 2 : Price setup in the Supplier Price list (WRONG RESULT) The problem here is when we open the “Supplier for Purchase Part Price Lists” overview page below, we can’t understand the price, because it shows a unit price of 10£ and there is no information that a price convertion exist!This is very problematique because a wrong price value can be used when purcahse pricing are reviewed. As a suggested solution:We should at least add the Price convertion factor info to the “Supplier for Purchase Part Price Lists” overview page Also having a calculated price using the price conv factor in a new field wo

Hello!My customer is looking for a more efficient way to search for parts within the assortment and perform mass updates. Today they are searching for the parts by Parts by assortment to find the parts and get the Assortment node. Then they copy the Assortment nodes and use them in Assortment attributes and from this view they can perform mass updates. Although there is a limit here for data and change without getting a time out.   I would like to know how others work with assortment and mass updates, I have limited knowledge in this area and I can´t find any documentation :) Thanks! BREmma

Has anyone experienced issues with Purchase Req Authorisation allowing a user to Authorise a Purchase Req (from project) which exceeded their “Max Amount” for PR limit?  Rule is set to retrieve Project Sub-Project Manager as authoriser.  Rule correctly retrieved on Purchase Req.    Routing Template uses Project Role We are on 23R1.10 Any thoughts/suggestions gratefully received! 

Hi, I am wondering whether anyone have come across any good solution to handle pack sizes in relation to IFS Part No? This situation should be familiar to many IFS Customers:We have a part, e.g. “Paint” that is setup in IFS with UoM (Litre/Liter → l). The paint can be bought in different Sizes:1L 2L 3L 5LWe are aware that you can purchase in a different UoM, e.g. JAR/PKG and set the conversation rates e.g. 5 to 1 in 5L JAR, when received increases the Inventory Qty to 5L. Hi all, I am trying to calculate the part cost for an alternate different than ’*’. I have set up a product structure with alternate ‘*’ and alternate ‘1’. For testing purposes, both alternates have the same components. Both alternates have the buildable status. When I calculate the cost set 5 for alternate ‘*’, no problem is found, and the cost is correctly calculated. When I try to calculate cost set 5 for alternate ‘1’, I get the message that ‘Manufacturing/Purchase Structure is not found’. In the message log i see that ‘No Buildable/Plannable Structure Revision Found’ The structure exists and is in buildable state. Am I missing something? Is there anyone used to work with cost calculation for different alternates who has been through this issue before? Regards

We received a weighted average costed part with a Supplier Invoice Consideration that is Transaction Based.  The wrong price was on the original PO and we sold the parts to a customer.  The Detailed Statistics screen is showing the sale price with the wrong cost field.  The PO cost was updated and the supplier invoice was posted and processed to reflect the change in price.  On the Inventory Transaction page, we can see the change in the costs and the appropriate accounting entries to reflect the change in the Cost of Good Sold account.  However, we run the Detailed Statistics nightly, and the invoice in question, has not had the cost updated as reflected in the journal entry.  Is there something we can do to update the Detail Statistics - Invoiced Sales data.  We export this data into a Power BI data warehouse to run reports and this one is not reflected correctly.

Hi, I am currently having trouble with shortage handling in IFS Cloud. I’m trying to get the shortage notification to appear when I place a Customer Order in the scenario where there is no stock available to fulfill the order. I have enabled the Shortage Notification toggle on the Inventory Part and the Shortage Handling toggle on the Parameters for Supply Chain and Manufacturing page. I have checked to make sure there was no quantity on hand and also see the orders with shortages on the Handle Customer Order Shortages page. Is there anything I’m missing for this message to appear? Any help is appreciated!

Hello everyone,I would like to know what is the best use of the “Product family” field.The IFS standard description tells us that it is used “to group parts into product structures”. Does this mean that if I create a product family “A” that is also a finished item and associate it with this family, I can group all the semi-finished (manufactured) items that make it up? Also, in the help, they talk about grouping at level 0 in the master production plan. Can you explain this to me in detail?Thanks in advance

Hi Team, I want to change authorizer under Purchase order because when I try to release it, system is generating an error that you are not a authorizer. (Product Version:23R2)  

When the Supply Code is Inventory Order, we can Unreserve the line through Reserve Manually option by giving the negative Reserve Qty. But when the Supply Code is Purchase Order, we can not see that Unreserve option in the line level. Can somebody explain me the logic behind this?  Thank You!

Hi, We are introducing IFS Cloud and have tested our first EDI message, receiving this into our system. When this has came in, the Vendor code, which is on the XML message from our customer has transferred to the “Customer Agreement Cross Reference” field. When trying to receive the EDI into Cloud, the message stopped until we removed the Vendor code from this field in “Incoming customer schedule”Does anyone know why this would transfer into this field? We currently use Apps 09 and the Vendor Code comes in the same XML format and does not effect receiving EDI.  Thank You 

We are trying to run DDMRP on manufactured and purchased parts.  The quantity calculation is perfect, and is lifting the stock out of the yellow zone, with a requisition due in 13 days time (the lead time).  However, it is ignoring any other requirements further out in time - here there are two orders, one due in March, and the other in May.  I would like to see req's for these as well as they will then become part of the Machine Load per work centre.  Without this, sudden capacity demands may be invisible until the order date reaches the lead time.

I have encountered an issue with the character limit, where it seems possible for a user to input up to 100 characters in the "Use Defined Row Length" and "Max Row Length" fields. Is there a method to disconnect customer order from a DO? I have an orphaned order that is still released but connected to Distribution Order that has been closed. Related PO to this DO has been cancelled so not a way that I know to reopen the DO.
