how can we generate a report YTD per:

We need the summary grouped by sales rep / customer and also all details per quotation.

1. Identify data (Sales Quotation pages)

  1. Open Sales Quotations page (often named Sales Quotations or Sales Quotation in the Sales menu).

  2. From a quotation, use the Lines / Sales Quotation/Order Lines tab (IEE name: page Sales Quotation/Order Lines ) to confirm which fields hold:

    • Customer, Salesman/Sales Rep, Quotation Date.

    • Line discount %, discount amount, net price.

2. Ask IT to build a reporting view

On the database/Reporting side (done by IT):

  1. Use the views behind Sales Quotations and Sales Quotation/Order Lines (can be seen via “Show Details/System Info” on those pages) to build a reporting view that joins header + lines.

  2. In that view, add calculated fields:

    • Discount Amount = List Amount − Net Amount.

    • Year, Week, Month, Quarter from quotation date.

    • Sales Rep, Customer, Quotation No, Line No, Part, Qty, Net Amount.

3. Create a Quick Report on the view

  1. Navigate to Solution Manager > Business Reporting & Analysis > Ad‑hoc Reporting > Quick Reports (page name: Quick Reports / Manage Quick Reports).

  2. Click New to create a Quick Report:

    • Report Title: “YTD Quotation Discounts by Sales Rep & Customer”.

    • Type: Query Builder or SQL Statement (depending on policy).

    • Presentation Object / Data Source: your new quotation‑discount view.

4. Define parameters and layout

  1. On the Quick Report detail page, add parameters:

    • From Date, To Date (default to current year).

    • Optional: Sales Rep, Customer.

  2. Design the output to:

    • Group by Sales Rep → Customer → Period (Month/Quarter).

    • Show summary per group (sum quotation amount, sum discount, average discount %).

    • Show detail per quotation (Quotation No, Line, Part, Qty, Discount).

5. Run and distribute

  1. Use View Report from the Quick Report page to test and export to Excel/PDF as needed.

  2. Optionally, use Schedule Report on the same Quick Report page to email weekly/monthly snapshots to sales management.
