Service (Touch Apps, MWO, MRO)

Is there a flag that will allow service technicians to do manual time reports in mWO for future time?  I have checked company details, workflow configurations, and system definitions 

We rolled out MWO Service Engr App to 83 Engrs last year and have suffered so many issues regarding Syncs Times and Init Times. Every day when the Engrs go to use the tablets, they start a sync that always contains 100s and 100s of ‘messages’ How do I find out what these messages are so we can decide if they are all needed. Our base data is fixed and doesn’t change, we do not create new sales parts, new serial objects etc. so there shouldn’t be any messages to receive overnight as nothing changes. How can we work out what all the messages contain? Thanks, 

Is it possible to reserve material on a mobile work order and have the reservation show in the inventory parts in stock reservations screen?Thanks in advance Mark

Hi,Is it planned on the MWO roadmap to provide an offline capability to report an incident and to execute a safety inspection, in sync with Health & Satefy module ?In the Service industry, these types of actions are performed on the field and it can be in remote places with no network connection.This is a game changer for the customer I am currently working for.Kind regards,Lénaïc

Hi Experts, When trying to send a work task to the mobile user, click the Transfer to Mobile and select the Resource drop-down in 'Work Task', we are getting the below error;Transfer To Mobile: It took too long time to retrieve list of valuesThis error only occurs in the Work Task window. Other windows like Prepare Work Order, Work Tasks screens we can transfer to mobile users without any issue.934 Resource Groups and 1026 Resources are there. Is there any limit on the number of Resources Group and Resources? Or any other way to resolve this error. Thanks in advance!Regards,Kalana

Has anyone seen Resource Groups not showing up when creating additional work in the Service Tech Portal?“The permission sets are completed in Aurena Tech Portal. I was trying to test creating new work and ran into an issue (see below). The Resource Group drop-down doesn’t have anything for me to choose from so I cannot Create New Work. Do you know why there isn’t anything in the drop-down? I would like to move forward with the Workshop – of course it could be something I’m not aware of that should be done.” 

We are using IFS 10 and are using the customer party type locations for the stores that we service. I am attempting to figure out the best way to utilize and update the contact information on the locations. It seems to pull from the customer record, but I don’t know how to get it to update. Here is a location we connected as the visit and taxThe address pulls in perfectly to the work tasks created. And when you update the customer record for that address, that works perfectly to update the location address.Our only concern so far is that this contact seems to have pulled from the customer record comm method. The line in green is what it pulled upon creation, but I have added the line below for that address record to be defaulted to that phone number.

@James Ashmore , @Björn Kleist We’re on a big Field Service Job and setting up the mobile service client.  Everything seems to be working, but we get this error when logging in and it makes you disconnect to log in the next time.  "error":"unauthorized_client","error_description":"Invalid client credentials" .  Any ideas.  We have to demo this thing Friday!Btw, does the service radio button on the resource group have anything to do with it.  We don’t know what that does.  

Hi there, I am currently looking at expanding our use of Call Centre Cases in IFS (Apps 10). IFS use Cases to handle their customer support issues and have an auto upload email address set up which automatically adds emails to the Case that it relates to as contact notes. I was just wondering where in the application this is set up? Many thanks,Annie

We have configured a custom email notification that has a link to a purchase order in IEE and also a link to the iOS NotifyMe app. This way users can take action whether they are at their desks or away and are using their phones. However, the link to NotifyMe opens the app, but then immediately crashes. The html that I am using is below. I wonder what is determining which Destination attributes I can choose from when creating a Navigation Link?I work in the Aurena client in IFS10, update 16.Example: I want to create a Navigation Link to  page/TechPortalMeasurementHandling/MeasurementParametersI also want to use Test Point ID as a parameter for filtering the destination page but TestPointID is not available among the Destination attributes even if it is a field on the page I want to link to.   As a second option I tried to create a custom page and link to that but no Destination attributes at all are displayed in the list.

We’re trying to figure out how to manually push GPS coordinates into a location to be able to pick them up by map position and transfer it to the mobile client without an equipment object or customer in order for a pipeline company to be able to fine locates. 

Hi,Would anyone know how to handle multiple visits on the same Work Task in MWO without having to go into the client and manually assign work each day? E.g. a piece of maintenance that is carried out over 3 days where travel and work time is logged for each day. ThanksJohn

The Work Order Gantt seems to not show any indication when outside early start or late finich  requirements (sla). How is this fuctions activated or is it coming functionality?

Hello,   We are currently moving to IFS Application 10 Update 6 and we read in the documentation the .NET IFS Printer Agents currently do not support the Socket Server which we’d use to print ZPL files.  The java version of the print agent still supports a Socket Server to print ZPL but we’d like to utilize the .NET Print Agents.   Is there any release information on when the .NET Print Agents will implement the Socket Server?   Thank you, William Klotz

I have configured the print agent in IFS8. When I start it I see it finds all the printers defined in the ifs-printagent-config.xml file. When I attempt to print, it finds the print job from IFS and reports the document was sent to the printer with no errors.However, the document never reaches the printer. Instead it creates a file identified by the highest IP address of the configured printers. Ex: The printer selected was 172.20.24.202 but the file created is called 172.20.24.219. This file looks like the printer command file plus the PDF that should have been sent to the printer.Why didn’t the document print on the printer? Why would it create a file when the log says the document was sent to the printer with no errors? Why is the file named with the wrong IP address?

An MWO user is  trying receive and issue his material and he is getting this error message (see screenshot) when he clicks receive and issue.  Why and how do we go about this please? 

Hi Experts,We find many WOs that are Transferred to mobile are missing in “Transferred Tasks/Work Assignments” screen.  ​​​​​​Also the same WO cannot be found in “Transferred Tasks/Work Assignments” screen as well.What could be the reason for this behavior. We can find more than 500 such WOs where WO is assigned to the mobile but getting below type of errors due to missing connection.

HiWe have a number of PM’s which should generate 4 weeks before the planned start date, which has been working fine since 2015 but for some reason no work orders are generating for 2023. The calendars are generated and I even regenerated these yesterday but nothing. We have schedule database tasks that run overnight to generate the work orders and these are running fine with no errors so I am not sure what else could be causing this.Is anyone else experiencing a similar issue or can any advise what else I can check.This is in Apps 8.Kind regards,Hayley

We have added a standard field which originally not available on aurena native page using “Apps for Page Designer” page. When we deploy these configurations to multiple environments how do we manage with the delivery process?For an example, we have used “Remark” field which comes OOTB with IFS Cloud from “Work Task” page and added it into “Work Detail” page in MWO. How do we deliver these kind of configurations to multiple environments using delivery? 

Hi,While creating a survey with Work Type as ‘Work Assignment’, it is displayed in all the Work Tasks in mobile as expected. Additionally, the “Answer Once” option is selected in the survey as shown below.Below are two queries:When a survey is completed in one of the Work Tasks in mobile, it is removed from all the work tasks due to the ‘Answer Once’ option. Is this the expected behavior? Shouldn’t it still be visible for other tasks? Once the technician completes the survey, do we have an option to configure the answers as Read-Only for the technician to view but not perform any updates to the Survey? Currently, the technician can update the survey for a Work Task multiple times if the ‘Answer Once’ option is not selected. Any inputs would be appreciated. Thank you.
