I would like to setup specific Document Classes to go through a default approval by our Document Manager.  We are having trouble with users not selecting a template before submitting. Does this functionality exist?  If not, does anybody have an idea of how I could do a custom event to complete this?

Hi Everyone; We are in the middle of Release update From: 23R2SU9 TO: 24R2SU3And specifically, in the “Apply Release Update to Customer Solution Repository and Customization Uplifting Process” step, Following this LINK steps … Done with modification to the solutionset.yaml  updated with our custom modules. And have no translations so nothing to do with  translation.usage.json . Then ordering a “Order Baseline Environment” completed successfully.  When ordering “Order Topic Environment” it FAILS which is totally understandable and reasonable because the Customer Solution still has errors, and I do this step to get the Topic Creation Log to address these errors.  Now trying to open the Customer-Solution Project in the Developer Studio I do need to reference to the CORE Project Files. and here is my issue “IFS Cloud Core Codes” the one beside the “Customer Baseline Repository” contains nothing. It should contain the CORE Code downloadable file for 24R2SU3.  As per my understanding, I shoul

Hi all,Have you ever encountered a situation where you had to manage the relationship between an inventory part with inventory expiration tracking and MRP usage? In other words, there is an inventory part and it has an expiration date. In the standard structure, the system manages the supply process by considering the expiration date into account during the MRP calculation. However, in the MRP calculation logic, it is requested to make MRP calculations by ignoring the expiration date, is this request possible?Could you share your experiences and knowledge? ThanksOzge

I have an Event Action set up for STEP_READY_FOR_APPROVAL to send a Streams message for a Document Revision Approval.First Approval step is to an IndividualSecond Approval step is to a Group When I start the Approval process, the individual receives the Streams message.  When he approves the Step, no one in the group on the second Approval step receives a streams message.  If I change the second Approval step to an individual, they do receive the streams message.I have tested changing the first Approval to the group and started the Approval process and the streams message does not send to anyone in the Group.I have set up the Event Action exactly the same in a different client's environment and the streams notifications work.  Is there some setting needed to send streams to individuals in a Group? This is for IFS App 10.

Hi All,Could you please can you advise the implications of ticking or un-ticking the Transaction Level check box. Please can you advise the impact if you have had the Transaction level check box ticked for several years, but then un-tick it. Will it affect existing Purchase Orders and Invoices?

Hi All, I have recently created some cost buckets for inventory parts relating to different product families. However when testing, I’ve found that one of the cost buckets still has parts in it that relate to the wrong product family. This is doubling up the cost when calculating the standard cost. I cannot see anywhere how I can remove the part from the cost bucket. I can’t delete the cost bucket and start over, either.  Has anyone experienced this before or does anyone have any suggestions please?Thank you, John

We switch from IFS10 to IFS Cloud and are still testing IFS Cloud (currect 24R2).When we try to create a new Customer with Category Customer the system does not allow us to do so. When we try to create a new Customer with Category another category we can save the created customer. Where in IFS Cloud is the setup, that we cannot create a new customer with Category “Customer”?

Hello,On the Go-live the Sales Contract is partially Invoiced with AFP.  For the migration of open AFP Invoices - can I use a standard STDCIN1 or STDCIN2 migration template? Or is there any better tool dedicated to migrate those kind of invoices? Also - can I only migrate the Open AFP invoices? Or is it better to re-generate all the AFP invoices issued before Go-live, to have the proper progress set on Sales contract Items (proper value of certified work and proper queue of AFP invoices?I’d appreciate any information.Kind RegardsBeata

Hello, I am using IFS Apps 10 and we have enabled Control Plan Mandatory and Create Analysis Mandatory in the QA controls. This has been working as expected, however, we have to disable the controls when a Rework Shop Order is opened. As an example we need to Rework PN 123456. So a SO is opened for it and the Rework flag is checked. The Operations are modified to suit the rework (deburr, sanding, etc.). All original operations are removed and the rework operation(s) are added. All original materials are removed and the top level part number is added (for rework) to the material. The connected control plan still has all the checks for the original steps, which I mark as not included. However, when you attempt to receive the Shop Order, the system errors out stating that is expecting you to complete checks for operations that you have removed and checks you have not included. I have found no way around this other than to disable the QA controls, report the rework Shop Order and turn them

Hello,I'm looking for advice on how to exclude a specific list of suppliers from a payment proposal. The requirement is to exclude a list of 26 suppliers from all payment proposals, while allowing the rest to be paid. Is there a way to set up parameters or automated tasks that can accomplish exactly this—either during the creation of payment proposals or through another method?I’d prefer not to create separate supplier groups if possible, as some suppliers are already part of existing groups. This is more about excluding certain suppliers, rather than selecting which ones to include.Additionally, I’d like to avoid putting a central payment block on the supplier accounts, as we need to keep the option open to pay them in the future if necessary.I've tried separating the suppliers with commas, semicolons, dots, and dashes, but none of these approaches have worked. Currently, our workaround is to create a payment proposal with all suppliers included and manually exclude the invoices for th

When we used 23R1 in latest viewed page we could mark blue to set the page as Home so next time when you click the Home Icon it goes to the blue marked page instead of standard Home view. Now we have upgrade to 24R2SU2 and we can not do that anymore. Is there anyway to change the link in Home Icon?

Is it possible to connect the same Item Class twice in the same WTT revision?Example:For the WTT1.Can the Item class DREM exist twice in the “Prepare” tab?See the print

We are trying to build a Fault Tree based on the FMEA built by our company. The configuration today is:ELECTRIC MOTOR (Item class)  CONVERT ELECTRIC ENERGY TO MECHANICAL ENERGY (Function)     BEARING FAILURE (Fault Type)           OHE - OVERHEATING (Symptom)           OIL CONTAMINATION (Cause) This is the standard IFS functionality, is someone using in a different way? Where you can put the effect of the Failure, or using the  “Failling component” inside the Cause? If someone can share how is the tree inside the FASN.

We have purchased some LTU licenses and I have uploaded these permission sets into our IFS Cloud environment.  Can anyone tell me if I need to get an updated version of these LTU permission sets for Service Updates?  I am aware I need to ask for updated permission set for Release Updates, but unsure if I need to do the same for Service Updates.  If it is dependent on if the Service Update affects that particular area the LTU covers, is there an easy way to check to identify this?

Hello there,We are using IFS Cloud. I am trying to use GL Automatic Posting Rules to post certain revenues (original GL coding will come in via manual customer invoice; voucher F) into other accounts based on a certain percentage.  I have set up the "original code string" tab as below. I have allowed the project code part to be "%" to allow any value. When setting up on "Automatic Posting Rows" tab, the below error message popped up. The project code part is not the budget/planning code part and it is in the valid time interval. In this scenario, my intention is to retain the same project code part value from the original posting. The project code part value may vary in the original posting, which makes it impossible for me to set it to a specific value. Can you please help? I would greatly appreciate any insights or guidance you could provide on this. Thank you!

@Thommy @Nethmini Kosvinna  On this original post Book Invoices on Finished Work Task No  it’s described the following: “This issue is fixed in app10 UPD 16. In UPD 14 & 15 you will not see finished work tasks in the LOV ( of the posting proposal window) , but you can manually add the WT number without any error . In UPD 16, it is not even possible to add a finished work task manually, it will pop up an error message when you try to save the record.”Has this logic been changed in IFS Cloud? (We are currently running 24R1 SU6)In the screenshot below our Finance Lead created a posting from a manual supplier invoice towards a Finished Work Task without the expected error message. We have several companies in the same environment, and some of them would like an error message for this scenario, and others likes that the system allows this. Are there any planned changes for this functionality in 25R1 & 25R2?

Hello Everyone,We created our first custom component and it was successfully delivered to our use place client. We checked the Component Registration screen and it was not there. We checked the following: Confirmed the delivery installation was successful in the Delivery Registration Screen. Verified that the new component and the entities within it exist in the database. Checked module_tab and our component is registered and active. We checked the solution.yaml file and the component was active too. Refreshed the Server Cache within the client multiple times.Has anyone had similar issue where their component was registered in the database but not in their client after a successful delivery?

Hi all!Does anyone have instructions on how to set CIS settings in the cloud?Best regardsOskari Bergskaug

Good morning everybody, Does somebody has a function description of the field “Handling Unit at CO Delivery” in page “Customer-Sales-Sales” and which is the related parameter in page “Site”?Thank you for feedback. Best regards, Rolf

Does anyone know the correct date format to use to update a custom date field via SmartMail/update_event_ejb activity?Per the wiki, it says it needs to be in the ‘YYYY-MM-DDTHH:mm:ss-OOOO ‘ format, which the value I’m passing is, but I can’t seem to get it to accept that date value no matter what I pass. I’ve tried the following:2025-04-08T12:00:00.00002025-04-08T12:00:00-0000date[2025-04-08 12:00:00.0000]date%222025-04-08T12:00:00-0000%22but none of these formats work.

I have created a Quick Report (Crystal Report) that has a parameter @OrderNo. Next I created a custom menu on the Customer Order screen that maps the parameter:  Source = ORDER_NO  Destination:  @OrderNo On doing RMB and selecting the custom menu the @OrderNo parameter is displaying the Order No for the Customer Order that was in view at the time which is what I expected.  However, when the report is displayed no data is being displayed. If I run the report in Crystal Reports and enter the Order No the report displays data. I have tried selecting View on the Quick Report and entering the Order No in the parameter field and again no data is being displayed. Any ideas?   John

Hi all,Why does my custom screen gets cleared when I go back to it from the ’Recent Screens’ button? The ’Back’ button of the browser works fine in this sense, I can see all my previous data there. Most other screens, for instance ’Inventory Part’, retain their displayed data when I return to them via the ’Recent Screens’ button also. How can I make my custom screen retain its queried data on such occasions too, when using the ’Recent Screens’ button? It is Cloud 24.1.4. Thanks in advanceJanos
