Automating Supplier Exclusion in Payment Proposals

Forum|alt.badge.img

Hello,

I'm looking for advice on how to exclude a specific list of suppliers from a payment proposal.

The requirement is to exclude a list of 26 suppliers from all payment proposals, while allowing the rest to be paid. Is there a way to set up parameters or automated tasks that can accomplish exactly this—either during the creation of payment proposals or through another method?

I’d prefer not to create separate supplier groups if possible, as some suppliers are already part of existing groups. This is more about excluding certain suppliers, rather than selecting which ones to include.

Additionally, I’d like to avoid putting a central payment block on the supplier accounts, as we need to keep the option open to pay them in the future if necessary.

I've tried separating the suppliers with commas, semicolons, dots, and dashes, but none of these approaches have worked. Currently, our workaround is to create a payment proposal with all suppliers included and manually exclude the invoices for the specified suppliers during each payment run. However, this method is error-prone and very time-consuming.

Any suggestions or insights would be greatly appreciated.

Invoice Authorization for Payment could be used to control the payment of specific suppliers. Another option is to mark payment on hold checkbox if you are using apps 10. This check box is also available in Invoice Authorization window.

Hello
Did you think about using payment priority? If you assign a priority to all your suppliers equal to e.g. 9, and to those specific suppliers 99, you will be able to run proposal with priority 10 which should not contain suppliers with priority 99.
