The aim of this post is to clarify the functionality of the Project Spread Profile within the IFS Budgeting and Forecasting module. Refer to the following example The objective is to allocate USD 10,000 across the activity dates, which span from August 1, 2022, to November 8, 2022. This allocation follows a profile comprising five intervals with distinct percentage distributions of 0%, 10%, 20%, 30%, and 40%, respectively. We need to compute the specific spread amount per period from 2022-08 to 2022-11. Please note: The spreading calculation takes into account only working days based on the connected calendar to the project. In this instance, the connected calendar assumes 8x7 (meaning all seven days of the week are considered working days). The rule of thumb is to select only the working days during the period (start and date dates). The connected calendar to the project is referred. Hi there, We are having a problem with our project WIP. We set up a project group with the following settings on the attached screen shots The estimated revenue was 100K with costs at 80k The results are show shown in the final screenshot after the periodic capitalization… The problem is, that it does not seem to recognise if the costs are going over and seems to report revenue that will never be received! Obviously this will be catastrophic for reporting! Is there a setting we are missing somewhere Any ideas?? Many thanks

Hello, We have a large project order for next year with multiple deliveries against it. My question is, can you connect multiple customer orders to one single project? (Normally we would connect just one order to the project) For this example, we would want to have multiple orders so that we dont have one giant order with thosuands of lines! Thank you

Dear all, I linked a customer order line with supply code Shop Order to a projct activity. I expected the planned costs to be the costs from cost set 1 of the concerned part (as correctly shown in cost column in order line) and as described in IFS-documentation: BUT: In project activity the planned costs are the level costs of the part, not the accum. cost: I made various tests with differing parts on different environments where the planned costs in activity have shown these outcomes: cost set 2 of the part Accumulated Cost – Level Cost Level Cost (as stated above and shown in screenshot) What should be the correct behaviour? Hi, Is there a document about the project management module?

Apps 10: I am trying to set up pre-posting at project header level so I dont have to do it on each individual line. When trying to then connect the order line to the project, i get the following error message: Code part Customer is not allowed to have a pre-posting value since M104 - Preaccounting Customer Order Row has not been enabled for code part Customer in company ITL. Does anyone have any ideas on what this is telling me? Ive checked and the preposting is set up correctly on the finance project but maybe I have missed something Thanks!!

Hi, I have a requirement to set up IFS Project Time reporting. There are 5 employee companies and the Parent company is in the USA. All customer project billing will be done from the Parent company in the USA. How can we set up the MCPR for this employee companies along with Parent company. Hi together, I want to create a list with POs with a red/green light (status), see example picture: For this, I created an IAL with the relevant sources. Now I want to insert the status light after the PO numbers (like in the picture), but I don´t how/what code to insert to get the status light in the list (green light=no open POs, red light=open PO). For the status lights I inserted in the IAL an count-command: Is anybody familiar with combining written list elements with status lights (see ECR, ANC and AUC)? (Environment App10). Hi All, In my case, employees report time against the project activities through Time Registration window. Once time registration is authorized, finance users generated T vouchers against the time registrations through the process called "Transfer Project Cost Accounting Transactions”. It will create employee project cost accounts for the entered time. If an employee applied for an absence/leave, employee will not add working time for that day in Time Registration. And project cost accounting records will not create for the absence days. My requirement is to create project accounting for the absence date as well. Any functionality available in standard IFS ? When creating a Project, the currency rate that applies is based on the company; however, we need transactions to occur based on the Customer’s currency code. We have entered the pricing for USD rates, but transactions on the Project Transaction screen is still showing as EUR. Is there a field that allows us to change the currency rate so all transactions occur in USD?

We came across an issue in the AFP of a customer, it is reported that the customer keeps the 20th line of the AFP as a tax expense record which is the main concern in this issue. However, they had added a tax payment of USD 369357.83, and the retention which was initially 14648.65 in Line 01 changed to USD 14722 in the field 'Retention Applied For’; AFP 63 AFP 64 line 01 14648.65 14722 line 03 -140.76 -140.76 line 14 214.1 214.1 line 17 0.01 0.01 14722 14795.35 73.35 However, carrying out testing we found that when in certified states the retention will be the same amount (i.e. 14648.65) in line 01. The customer has a concern as to why the retention has changed in line 01 when an amount was introduced to the Stored Material Field in line 20 of the AFP 64 (since the amount is shown incorrectly during the approval state). Any idea as to why this happen?

Hello IFS Project specialists, I have a few issue with the MS Project integration, have you come across this please: "Fixed Duration" versus "Fixed Work": Need to check how we can make MSP to inherit the "Fixed Work" instead of "Fixed Duration" on the task lines when importing Project Data from IFS. Tasks in MSP inherit the “Fixed Duration” as the Task Type upon Importing Project from IFS. As a result, values in “Work” and “Duration” columns along with budget figures changes from the values that are in IFS. All tasks inherit “Manually Scheduled” instead of “Auto Scheduled” which again disrupts data in MSP side compared to IFS. Tasks in MSP inherit the “Manually Scheduled” upon Importing Project from IFS. As a result, values in “Work” and “Duration” columns along with budget figures changes from the values that are in IFS. Actual Work in MSP that was brought over from IFS shows actual work hours against future months where they should not have any actual work! Thanks Serge

Hello, Does anyone know how we can track the costs of the travel expenses on the projects? Right now I can see only the used cost when the expense sheet was authorized. I have the following error, when trying to create a Multicompany project reporting rule set up when I go to the company properties, MCPR_RULE propertry doesn’t exist! any ideas?

We are seeing a problem where creating Contract Change Orders from a Sales Order is not populating the Project ID on the CCO, which means that the Forecast option isn’t available automatically. The workaround is to go to every CCO after creation and manually set the Project ID in the details, which obviously can lead to choosing the wrong project. We generate a lot of CCOs so this workaround is painful for our admins… is there something we need to adjust or do differently? In out production environment 22R1.8 the value passes in automatically but in validating Update 22R2.9 (from 22R1.8) we are seeing this problem. Any ideas if this is intentional and maybe something needs to be adjusted at the Project or Sales Contract level? Or are we maybe seeing a bug? Thanks, Nick

Hello we have a service account that connect to IFS to retreive informations on regular basis many times per day in IFS, it was always working well but recently form time to time we get a message saying The license for using IFS Applications is invalidIFS Applications will be inaccessible in 72 hoursContact IFS to obtain a valid license. Our license is valid and it’s the only users who gets this error, any idea what can cause this issue ?

Hi All, In my case, employees are reporting time against the projects and those time sheets authorized by their supervisors. When the time sheet is authorized by the supervisor, project transaction is checked as approved as below screenshot. Now I have a report requirement to provice project transaction details with approved users. Unfortunately, approved user is not available in project transactions window.
