Is anyone currently using IFS to track DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) requirements?
When trying to use the Rework checkbox on a Shop Order in Apps10 UPD6, it works fine when the SO is in Started status but not when the SO is in Planned or Released status. It works fine in IEE when the SO is Planned or Released. Is this a known issue or bug, or just some peculiar design aspect that seems to makes no sense? Thanks,Nick
Hi, I alrady read the post: But i have futher question, where can I set those value(Planned Quantity, Duration)? in which screen Can I add more custom-attributes? even for other moduleThanks,
Hello,We are running apps 10 Aurena exclusively. I want to clearly differentiate the look of different environments (PROD, TST, DEV) so that users don’t accidentally do work in an environment that they don’t intend to (ie: you think you’re working in PROD but forgot you’re in TST). Ideally, changing the colour or something equally clear, for all users of the environment. Is that possible?Thank you,Warren
Can I display the material (components) in the APB?Does the APB take into account the stock of components for planning, including the lead time of the individual components? How can I set this or what are the basic settings?BR
We delivered a few customer order lines with the Supply Code of Service Order. We now need to undo the delivery. I opened the customer order in Undo Customer Order Delivery. When I right click on one of the order lines, the Undo Line Delivery menu option is greyed out/disabled. When I right click on the header and click on the menu option Undo Delivery, I get the Error Message “Cannot undo customer order delivery for customer order lines with supply code Service Order.” Any ideas on how to work around or resolve this issue so that the lines can be un-delivered? thanks!
I would like to create a custom field in routing that links to a FQDN network share with instructions. The engineers update the Word documents on the network share so I don’t want to attach, just have a clickable link in IFS.
Hi All, We are moving to use the IFS cyclic counting, this is working well in test, management want to add in a value over that requires approval. So I’ve set up at Site level as below and this works to get the count report to state that Approval is needed. However the user can just confirm the line themselves - which seems wrong. Is this a permission issues? Id’ like to add who can approve, but this doesn’t seem possible, am I correct? Thanks for reading, Sarah
Hi Community ! Hope everyone is doing okayish (at this point, even okayish is great !) I’m working on the manufacturing side of a business using IFS 9We’ve had some problem with a Serialised part not showing the proper Multilevel structure. Here’s the context. very much simplified structure is : PN 100 PN 101 PN 102 Parts were manufactured and shop orders were closed correctly. We then opened a multilevel repair shop order for 100 (SO100), salvaged 101 and opened another multi-level shop order for 101 (SO101). Work was conducted on SO 101 and was eventually closed and part was re-issued to SO100 and was closed putting a PN100 back in stock. Now, we need to repair PN100 again so we open another repair SO (SO102) but this is where we get the problem, there’s no as-built structure for this PN100 that was put in inventory by repair SO100. So we can’t multi-level repair it. I found after searching a bit that the As-Built REV of the part 101 coming from SO101 is (2) and the as-built Rev
Attempting to schedule operations using the advanced planning board. Ops 10 and 20 on each shop order are routed to the same work center. I would like to schedule these operations back to back and complete both operations before moving to a different shop order. The APB is scheduling operation 10 from one order, then operation 10 from another order, then back to operation 20 on the original, then 20 on the next and so on.Is there a way to influence scheduling to complete both operations on one order before moving on to the next order?
Our customer in Japan wants performance example / reference of same scale company. The customer does not need detailed one, just wants to know the same scale company runs IFS ERP with no performance issue. So would appreciate if someone could share following performance example info. <Our customer info>Target IFS applications version : IFS Cloud 22 Solution scope: Manufacturing, Sales, Purchase, Logistics and Finance Data volume: BOM#: 3M, Components#: 2-3K End user#: Over 2K Concurrent user# under 100) <Needed example>IFS applications version : Apps10(Aurena, IEE), IFS Cloud Solution scope: Mostly same (Not needed to cover all our customer solution scope) Data volume: Mostly same <Needed info>Partial one is also appreciatedInfrastructure design (mostly focused on network) Application scope Main Master data, transaction volume Response time for main function (Online / Batch) Overall performance status ( Is there any performance issue, problem etc.)
Hi Team, one of our customers are experiencing a performance degradation in disposition task summary window. Test plan is quite simple, Navigate to the Disposition Task Summary window and select a line.RMB and Include to DispositionThis will take very long time to execute. Are there any fixes done from RnD end to rectify this issue?
Community,I have been wondering if the Visualizer has been working properly for everyone that uses it. I am on (IFS APPS 10 UPD 11).When grouping the Labor Class graph to a weekly view, it does not update the actual capacity in the tooltip, it still shows daily capacity which is misleading. (See picture)In addition since it is a weekly view and aggregated, should it not also show that we are not overloaded if we look at capacity from a week by week standpoint? Where as the Labor Load in Standard Hours - Labor Class shows this accurately.Looking forward to some replies :).
Community, We have multiple parts (in-house built manufacturing parts) which are using work order disassembled from their parent parts, due to its wrong process, we would like to restore them back onto their original parent part. Would that be possible for work order? Thank you.
in order to calculate the estimated material cost in the finish good shop order for a zero on-hand item I have entered the estimated material cost in the inventory part window (cost tab). The shop order is calculating the estimated material cost based on the entered value but the issue is the cost source value is (asterisk) * for that particular component in the shop order costs window. I want to know whether there is any way to solve this issue? Relevant screenshots are attached.
Hi AllHopefully an easy one.Scenario, Part A( manufactured) is made from Part B (purchased), currently both set up as finite with a lead time.At the Begining Part A is scheduled for 100 days from now based on lead time, so far so good.A PO is created for part B and the planned arrival date can now be earlier or later than expected ,Now when i run APB i need this new arrival date (Actual supply) to supersede the default lead time. What settings / process do i need to incorporate in order for this to happen? RegardsIan
Hi. we are using apps 10 and run MRP site wide once a week that generate over 30,000 action messages after every run. Looking at the date over two thirds of the messages are ‘ No Demand Exists’ for parts with a frequency class of Very Slow ( No transaction over the past year). the part status of all these parts are set at A (active), should we change the setting to O (obsolete) to prevent MRP creating any demand and as a result hopefully reduce the number of MRP action messages we generate?what is best practice?kind regardsJamie
Hi does anyone know if it is possible to upload a Bill of materials created in solidworks 2021 directly into IFS when creating a part structure?currently we duplicate our effort and copy the Solidworks Bill of materials in IFS part by part which takes considerable time.we ae using Apps 10regardsJamie
Hi Community,According to Application Online Documentation, we can use Shop Order Operations window to view and edit details of shop order operations that are of order type Manufacturing, Repair, and Prototype. But does anyone know what is the reason for not allowing “Assembly” and “Disassembly” type shop order operations in Shop Order Operations window?Best Regards,Shani
Hello Experts !I have a business scenario to resolve. Appreciate your help here.In MRO world, as soon as the engine parts are disassembled, they are sent for cleaning process. For example, one disassembly shop order could contain 100+ disposition shop orders beneath it. Always, each disposition shop order's 1st operation is ‘Cleaning’ activity under same work center with same labor class. The cleaners/mechanics have to clock-in all these cleaning operations one by one for all disposition shop orders which is a time consuming activity while all these parts are cleaned bulk.Is there a way to clock-in set of cleaning operations from set of disposition shop orders together using shop floor work bench ? That mean, actual operation time also should be split equally among them.(Ex: Initially, 10 cleaning operations from 10 DSOs should be clocked-in together, later next 15 cleaning operations from 15 DSOs should be clocked-in together)
DescriptionRefer below test plan for the scenario• Create a simple manufacturing product structure.• Go to Part Master Data >> Master Part >> Part window and query for these parts. Add Chinese description under ‘Language Description’ tab with Language Code ‘zh’.• Create a Shop Order and create ‘Work Instruction’ Report [RMB on SO Header >> Reports >> Create Reports. Tick checkbox ‘Work Instruction Report’. Select ‘OK’. Select ‘zh’ as the Language and click ‘Preview’.• The generated report does not show the Part Description in Chinese, instead shows in English. This is applicable for both Work Instruction Report and Picklist when created from both Shop Order window and Shop Floor Workbench when logged in from the English language.Any specific way to rectify the situation?Best Regards,Thilan
Morning, can anyone tell me what date on the customer order is the main demand driver which MRP uses to plan purchases and manufacturing supply/schedules? i.e. Promise date regardsJamie
Some of the components we use in Shop Orders are Customer Owned. We are having to raise the Shop Orders and manually change the lines to Customer Owned and stating the customer before parts can be reserved to the shop order. As this is the standard process rather than exception, does anyone know of a way of making the structure ‘aware’ that it needs to draw components from Customer Owned stock for certain components?
Hello, How do I increase/decrease the number of decimals, when a quantity is entered or displayed in the Recipe Structure window?
Hi, can anyone suggest why MRP is picking up demand but not demanding any supply on the below part. Both Structure and routing are at buildable yet i am getting an action message ‘Not Buildable’ but cant understand why? regardsJaime
