Hi All, I’m getting below error when installing CBS in a customer application server. This customer is in Apps10 UPD13. CBSSERVER user is active in application and db. Also, it is possible access the db using sqlplus. Can anyone help to solve this issue?Thanks,Dilshani

Shop order increases packaging requirements when assembly is scrapped during operation.Example: Assembly lot size = 100. Box on the product structure QPA=1. We need to produce a full lot of 100 so we use increase lot size on scrap option. 1 assembly is scrapped, lot size increased to 101.IFS calculates requirements of 101 boxes however a box is not needed for the scrapped assembly. Is there an option to not include scrapped assembly qty when calculating material requirements?

Is there any way to copy part characteristics to purchase parts characteristics in IFS9?If possible, could you please describe in detail steps. Thanks in advance.

In the Manufacturing Visualization in IFS Cloud (21R2) there is a button to navigate to Shop Order. This should either be "Shop Orders” or even better, be able to configure. 

Hi,I’m working with BPA on IFS Cloud 21R2 to automate the creation of a transport task when a pick list line is created.it work pretty well with an event connected with the creation of record on the IFS entity “ShopMaterialPickLine” and a BPA with a call of a projection InventoryPartInStockReservationsHandling.MoveResWithTransportTask.So, when the pick list is created, the transport task is created automatically and you can move the stock between the stock location and the shop floor location via a transport task (via Wadaco for example).Then, in a second step, the stock out of the component can be done. So, it’s perfect for some logistic process in factory (for example when you move an entire pallet to the shopfloor and consume a part of it on the shop order) But, my BPA workflow is working only for one line of the pick list.If there is more than one line on the pick list (2 lots on one component or 2 lines of components), the screen of pick list creation is blocked with a message (se

Hi, How can we set for certain parts/operations, only certain workcenters are possible? That means for example if we use the visualiser and drag and drop an operation to a workcenter which is not allowed, IFS gives an error message? Example: Operation ‘Paint Job’ is possible in workcenter ‘Paint area 1’ and ‘Paint area 2’, however if we try to schedule it in workcenter ‘Assembly area’, IFS gives an alert/error.  Thanks!

What are the minimum requirements for a tablet or PC to run Shop Floor Workbench IFS 9? 

I’m having an issue where I cannot close a DOP order because the associated component supply DOP orders will close even though the ‘completed qty’ and ‘delivered qty’ are for the order amount and the ‘remaining to supply’ is 0 - and neither will it let me manually close it, as I get an error message like ‘cannot close DOP order when DOP parent status is Started’, nor can I find how to update its parent DOP order to recognise that the supply has been fulfilled.Given the above, I would also have expected the component DOP order to have changed from ‘released’ to ‘closed’ within it’s parent orders component listing.Furthermore, I’m also seeing an issue where a DOP shop order can have be ‘completely reported’ and ‘completely issued’, but then cannot be received because of the above DOP order issue.I have set the structure depth to DOP parts, so the supply’s for the components are not being created by the DOP netting process.I’m at a bit of a loss, and any help would be much appreciated! Hi,For CTO’s Configuration Characteritics(Char),  we can set a Char’s client display to hidden.Then, I have questions:1.Where can we set value for those hidden char?2.Will the Config-ID consider hidden char?     eg: display-char have same value, but hidde- char have different value, will the Config-ID same?

We are using production schedules in part of our factory APS10. We are having issues with operators receiving the entire production schedule quantity instead of incremental amounts. There is a check box on the Site record that clears the quantity to report in the approve operation, but it does not work for production schedules. Does anyone know of a solution or workaround to prevent the operator from receiving the entire amount of the production schedule?

Due to an incorrect Op ID entry on a labor transaction, a closed shop order was systematically re-opened to record the entry. Then the transactions errored out because the project was closed. We were able to resolve the posting issues by re-opening the project/shop order and all the steps associated so they could correct the Op ID. In response to this, I am trying to see if there is a way we could prevent this from happening again. I have reviewed as many resources as possible but don’t see anything to help troubleshoot this. Is it possible to prevent a labor transaction from posting when the shop order and/or project is closed through permissions or some other way?

A weight of configurable part depends on configuration. For example one day we produce configurable product, which weight is 120kg. Another day, there is created new “Configuration specification”, and the product weight is 130kg.  Is there a functionality in IFS10 to calculate automatically weight of configurable part and insert it in “Configuration specification” LU - field “Net weight”? For example after creating DOP.What is the standard solution in IFS for configurable part in Intrastat? Does the weight in Intrastat come from  “Configuration specification” LU - field “Net weight”?

Hello, I am looking into streamlining the current manufactured Inventory Part creation process. Today, our Engineering department uses the Copy Part feature to create a new mfg Inventory Part. Unfortunately, while this process is quick, it has lead to issues where parameters are set incorrect (Inventory Part record form). Most of the time, this is due to the associate forgetting to change a planning parameter, or general part information. I did find the New Part Assistant wizard, but it appears to only work for Purchased Parts and Non-Inventory Sales Parts.I was hoping a wizard similar to the NPA would exist to quickly enter an Inventory Part. I have not found anything, and was curious what other methods may be available to enter the basic data elements needed to start a new manufactured Inventory Part record. 

Hi,  Does DDMRP work with PMRP?  Also, would anyone have a broader answer to what functionality DDMRP is not suitable or compatible with, for example, you can’t have a MS Level 1 part set as Planning Method ‘H’ Buffered Part. This was something identified during testing.  Thanks in advance

We’ve discovered an issue from the looks of it between the net weight entered on the part catalog and the total net weight on the customer order. Our general rule for the part catalog UOM is that we match the inventory UOM as there is no conversion (that we know of) between the part catalog record and the inventory part record. We tend to set our inventory parts up as to how we are going to store/consume the product which we believe is best practice.Either way, one of our parts net weight for a CS (which is our inventory UOM and Part UOM) is 220 lbs. We have this setup to SELL in EA (we have 200 EA/CS and 1 EA is .005 of a CS). What happened is, our customer, who also orders in eaches, put in a desired qty of 2000. It looks like the conversion is not looked at as the total net weight of the order turned out to be 440,000 lbs when it should have been a total of 2,200 lbs. I can get to this number if I multiply the qty requested (220 lbs * .005 conversion gives me my EA weight then multi

Hello! There was an issue where a change order was canceled prematurely with CO actions still assigned.  This has caused an issue where these actions still show up in queue to be completed, but the actions cannot be edited with the CO in a “Canceled” state and the CO cannot be deleted as it is used in 12 rows in another object… which would match the 12 action items assigned. That can’t be changed. This has caused a circular impasse and would really appreciate any advice on how to either delete the canceled change order or the actions so that these can at least be removed from change order action queue.  Thank you! 

Hi everyone,To let you know I’m using IFS APP 9. We are trying to put a process on our shop order with a subcontractor.This is the scenario :We have a product X , with component A & B. ( I already set up the structure / routing )The product X is made by our subcontractor from component A & B , so we have to send component  A & B. After he mixed component  A & B together he sends us the final product X.We keep the stock in our site because we also sell component  individually to other customer.We have a customer order for product X, which generate a shop order ( beacause we don’t have stock) telling us to prepare items A & B, eveything is correct until the shipping .At any moment we can bring up what's product we send on the delivery note to our subcontractor, so when we get the delievry note after the “Ship WIP to supplier” there is only the operation related to the service "mixed A & B".So how we can send our product to the subcontractor  after getting the item

Hi Team,I can perform a Where Used for an EPR, and an IP, but for Sales Parts that are Package Components in Package Parts, once the PP’s are created I can’t perform a Where Used when products change and we need to give this consideration as part of the Change Order.Is there any way to do this?Thanks,Wade

Hi, We would like to use attachments in control plan templates, where the attachments of the control plan template are also copied into the created control plans (IFS10) However, that does not seem to work. We create a control plan template, add the attachments. But when we use that template to create new control plans, the attachments of the template are not attached to the newly created control plan. Is there something we do wrong, or is this not possible? If not, does anyone know a workaround besides manually adding the attachment to each newly created plan? thank you!
