Hi IFS Community!

In Inventory Part In Stock it is not possible to move a part to a new location which contain the same part with a later expiration date. See below images.

The error code is ‘Expiration date may not be later than from-locations exp.date.’.

Is it possible with standard IFS to ‘exclude’ this rule? Maybe on a warehouse or location level set a parameter where expiration date is equal to location?

Thanks!

You can use a WDR no. to differentiate the batch, then you can move the same lot batch with a different expiry date to the same location.

Hi Dharshan,

I’m aware of the WDR option. However, these parts are moved with WDR = ‘*’. I challenged the business regarding this and suggested to look into the process / another setup. Unfortunately, it’s to big a task for them right now..

Do you know if IFS got some standard functionality to accommodate this? So the part can be moved to a location with different exp. dates where exp. date = to location?
