Control plan template ID did not show up after being applied

Hello Team

I apply a certain Template ID to one item code per process and change status to “Active”, but when go back to check “Template-where used”, I can find nothing, and go to that item code’s control plan, the “Template ID” is empty as well. 

Is there any step being missed, or any other setting need to do? can someone help to pick up and have feedback.

Hi;

When using the Template, there are 2 Options (Same exists in Routing Template too).

If we select Copy, it will just copy the information to the Control Plan but there will not be a reference between the Template and the created Control Plan. So later any changes done to the Template/ Control Plan will not be synchronized.

If the other option “Refer” is selected, then the Template is referred in the Control Plan and the data in both need to be synced, else the reference will be removed. In that situation you can see the Template ID in the Control Plan.

Any subsequent changes done to the Control Plan Template need to be propagated to the Control Plan in order to keep the reference to the Control Plan Template. This situation we call as “Referred” and then we can see the Template ID in the Control Plan and Control Plan ID in the Template - Where Used tab of the Control Plan Template.
