Community,We are settting up production routing for BPP plates production. the standard batch is 100 PCS. there are 2 work centers. Full batch of 100 PCS of plates will not be moved to the second work station till the full batch is completed. We have the routing set up, but it looks to us that the full batch is through WC one plate by one plate in sequential order . We would like system to calculate the lead time of the whole batch for the first work center, then the whole batch move to the second WC. How we could make it happen in IFS? Thank you.
Hello everyone,This is an urgent matter, as our project is approaching a go-live date.I'm facing an issue in the Workflow Configuration where I'm trying to use a Service filter to make an eForm appear only for a specific request, triggered when clicking Start Work. However, I noticed that the Service filter is being ignored, and the eForm appears for all requests, regardless of the Service selected.Test ScenariosScenario 1: I configured the eForm to appear only for requests with Service ID = 3. I created two requests: one with Service ID = 3, and another with Service ID = 21, both using the same Customer. After transferring both requests to the mobile application (MWO Service), the eForm appeared for both requests, even though only one matched the configured filter. Scenario 2: I modified the configuration to show the eForm for Service ID = 3 and a specific Customer. I created two requests with Service ID = 21 (different from the filter): One with the Customer matching the
Greetings!I was performing a Interim Demand Header evaluation and an error came up. Does anyone know what this means and how to fix it? This is run on IFS Apps 10
Hi Team, Is the standard functionality available to use the Shop Floor Workbench through Bar code scanner. For example, starting the clocking or stopping the clocking using Bar code.
Hi new in 24r1 SU4When approving/receiving a Shop Order where we receive more than the planned lot size, we get this "error."The material lines look like this: For the inventory part:This worked in 22r2. What am I missing?
We’re trying to support a business process in which a Product is delivered to a customer, but if there’s a problem with it, under some circumstances the Product will be replaced with a new one, and the original will be returned, remanufactured and at some future point resold to a different customer. However we can’t create Shop Orders or Shop Order requisitions as when we try to specify the Order or Requisition type as Remanufacturing the system generates an error message telling us there is no Product Structure Header for the Product as a Remanufactured Part.I can go to the Inventory Part and change the Part Type to Remanufactured but the original Manufacturing Product Structure is still valid.I can go into the Product Structure itself and create a new Alternate but that is still for Manufacturing I can create a New Part Revision and try to use that to create a new Product Structure to remanufacture the part giving it the same Phase In and Out dates as the original, but that then makes
24.2.1On the first receipt (i.e., partial) of a FIFO shop order where the operations are using a Fixed Resource Share and are being reported through auto reporting, I cannot determine how the Machine Cost is calculated.Setup:Manufactured part = FG1, valuation method = FIFO. Routing op 10, WC A, 1 unit/hour, fixed resource share = 0.3. Routing op 20, WC B, 1 unit/hour, fixed resource share = 0.3. Work Center A, cost = 30.00/hour, no overheads Work Center B, cost = 20.00/hour, no overheads FG1 product structure consists of only one component (COMP1, valuation = FIFO), QPA = 1, Estimated Material Cost = 1.00, Cost Set 1 = 1.00. Nothing on the Produced Parts tab. FG1 Cost Set 1 = 16.00, template M-110 with only standard buckets. Zero on-hand inventory of FG1.Execution:Shop Order lot size = 5. This is the only shop order in the system for FG1. Receive (1), backflushing and auto report operations. OOREC transaction for 44.00 shows Cost Buckets: 110 = 1.00 300 = 43.00 Where did this 43.00 co
When IFS Applications 10 users use the IFS Enterprise Explorer link in Chrome,If the extension is not available, 'ifs.Fnd.Explorer.application' is downloaded. Is this just to bring up the IFS login screen?Does it work for other functions as well?
We’re working with a client in the Medical Equipment Industry who need Quality Management in their solution. However with Control Plans, this requires us to define in the Acceptance Sampling Parameters which ISO Standards are to be used. There are 3 predefined as values within the system:ISO 2859-3:2005, ISO 2859-1:1999, ISO 3951-2:2013However the client insists that they also use ISO 13485:2016, but we can find no way of including this can anyone suggest a way in which we can get this added?
When using the APB, it appears to be ignoring the “Queue Time” field on Shop Order Operations when performing a reschedule. Is it true that this field is not considered when the APB schedules operations? The APB will determine and insert a “CBS Queue Time” when it [re]schedules based on resource/labor constraints. However, we are seeing this CBS Queue Time does not appear to consider the [manually entered] “Queue Time” field on the shop order operation at all. We would like to use “Queue Time” in conjunction with the APB but are so far unsuccessful. If this field is not used/considered by the APB we may need another way to manually add queue time while also doing CBS via the APB. (It may be possible to use Transport Time as a possible alternative to Queue Time if the APB considers Transport Time…)
Hello everyone, I would like see what your thoughts are out there for Product Structures vs Recipe Structures in pertaining to Food Manufacturing. As a former customer and in consulting I have I’ve seen that companies start with recipes and then decide to use product structures instead. I see product structures as a simpler way to manage structures and better stream line IFS processes avoiding managing structures in two different places. Also, consider integrations to IFS (ex., Optiva).Let me know Pros and Cons. Thanks team!
Hi,A user noticed on the Material Requisition Header the total amount/base is showing zero on some MR and some show the actual amount when in a Closed state. What is causing to show the zero on the material requisition header?I tried a few transactions and what I noticed is the amount will show in a released state but as soon as you issue it sets it back to zero. Not sure how some still keep the amount after the MR has been issued and in a state of Closed and some will reset to zero after its been issued and in a closed state We just recently upgraded to cloud 24r2 from APPS 10. Any help would be great :)
How are the order based lot numbers created/assigned for items produced on a production schedule???? It appears to be just using a counter somewhere! But where is this set?
Community, how to understand below error message? what action is the user doing?this part has Availability Check checked at Inventory Part level.Thank you.
I have a Shop Order where one of the materials is Inventory Part with type Remanufactured. Will MRP create requisition for such a part? Thanks in advance.
Hello, I am using IFS Apps 10 and we have enabled Control Plan Mandatory and Create Analysis Mandatory in the QA controls. This has been working as expected, however, we have to disable the controls when a Rework Shop Order is opened. As an example we need to Rework PN 123456. So a SO is opened for it and the Rework flag is checked. The Operations are modified to suit the rework (deburr, sanding, etc.). All original operations are removed and the rework operation(s) are added. All original materials are removed and the top level part number is added (for rework) to the material. The connected control plan still has all the checks for the original steps, which I mark as not included. However, when you attempt to receive the Shop Order, the system errors out stating that is expecting you to complete checks for operations that you have removed and checks you have not included. I have found no way around this other than to disable the QA controls, report the rework Shop Order and turn them
Hi Folks We have three Strength Factors set up in IFS10 (0, 1 & 2) but nobody can tell me what they are used for, could anyone shed some light on this filed or point me in the direction of some documentation to help explain its use? It does change the Duty/Excise payable amount but I can’t work out the calculation.Any help would be appreciated
Hi All, In IFSAPPS10 and previous versions we have the “Display All Structure Types” functionality that allows us to see or not the different types of structures in Multi Level Structure tab, in Product Structure window.I didn't find the same functionality in IFS Cloud, does it exist? Thanks in Advance!
I am looking for a way to automatically manage multi-source manufacturing. For the various cases below, I haven't found any functionalities that meet our customer needs. Can you tell us if any solutions exist? Or if some functionalities could be available in the future IFS roadmap. Case 1: distribution between different alternatives routings.Expected functionality: to be able to distribute (in %) between 2 (or more) alternatives the quantities to be produced in a period without having to split the batch size of the shop order requests generated by the MRP.Existing functionality we've found: distribution between different alternatives according to the quantity to be produced => doesn't meet customer needs. Case 2: distribution between purchased and manufactured.Expected functionality: to be able to distribute (in %) between manufacturing on routing and purchasing from supplier the quantities to be produced in a period, without having to split the batch size taken into account by MRP.Ex
Hello all,I created a shop order from a project “Create Project supply Request” . From the shop order workbench I could not find the shop order. I verified I don’t have any filter blocking. With the same filter on shop order workbench, I created a shop order and then I connected the shop order to the project and it worked. Does this mean that it is not possible to display SO on “shop order workbench” for all SO generated from the project? Does any one have an idea about this?
How can I trigger the production schedule report to automatically start and quality analysis for that reporting?
Currently evaluating upgrading to utilize Lidar laser equipment to measure raw materials in silos. Was wondering if anyone is currently using this type of solution or another solution that works well. Would love any feedback.
Brazeway will send lot controlled materials to an outside supplier that are then cut or machined into a different part that is also lot controlled. However, there is no way to know what lot number of raw material went into the lot number of the machined part. This is similar to an “As Built” Structure available on manufactured items. Oh, by the way, the supplier may not tell us what goes into what.Has anyone encountered this situation and if so, how did you resolve it? Thanks!!
Is it possible to turn off forecast consumption entirely in Master Schedule? We have parts with forecast consumption of 0 (backwards and forward). If actual demand and forecast of the part lands on the same day, the forecast is still consumed. We forecast in monthly buckets and manually delete forecast as actual orders are entered. For this reason both the forecast and actual demand need to be counted towards generating supplies. Regards!Eric
