Hello!A question about the redesign of page “Analysis Result” from APP9 (And APP10) to IFS Cloud. The question touches upon the same subject asked in this thread, but its not identical: Analysis Results Overview (IFS Apps 10 UPD 14 Aurena) | IFS Community The customer I am working with is upgrading from APP9 to IFS Cloud. In APP9 they are used to seeing the Result column, Inner/Outer Min and Inner/Outer Max in the same page as they Complete and Confirm the results. This is possible because the tab Variables is included in this page.In IFS Cloud they cannot see these columns in Analysis result since that tab has been removed

in “Non Conformance Report” you can connect objects, one of them being shop order operations.  for some reason the connected object description will not populate for the shop order operation. it does for the shop order though. Does anyone know why it wouldnt / how to get the description to populate?  

Issue with Part Revision: A new revision was automatically created when the most recent revision was marked as "phase out." * New part revisions are being automatically created after the most recent revisions are marked as "phased out."  * Many of the affected parts are components of the mentioned finished goods.  * The issue was especially noticeable between December 15 and 16, 2024, affecting 89 parts.  **Question:**  Is there any adjustment or configuration in the system that automatically triggers changes in the revisions of component parts when changes are made to finished goods?  

Hi Community,When a CTO part is to be delivered from inventory, supply code is Invent Order and part is reserved by selecting Configuration and Find Existing. However, if Project is connected to the order line before reservation, it’s not possible to reserve. If reserved first, it’s not possible to connect to Project.Have tested by connecting and not connecting the part to Project under Inventory Part in Stock. Have also tested by selecting other supply codes like Project Inventory and Project Deliverables.Does anyone know if there is a way to do this?

I’ve got a WO to which I’ve tied a NO CO to the header and set the CO Type to NO on the task.I have issued a part to the WO and I want to invoice the customer for that. I’m not seeing anything relating to Transfer to Customer Order.  Can you help here?   I’ve tried using an SEO and I’ve tried to create the CO from the WO, which is does but still can’t see how to transfer this to CO.  

Hii, When a user removes the authorization on particular day in time card he is getting error “ Indirect labor transaction 2583939  has already been cancelled once””. Can anyone help to resolve this ??  Error  

I need some advice regarding capture cost sources when we copy SET 2 to SET 1. 

 What is preventing this transfer from being completed / how do we find out what is preventing the transfer from being completed?When attempting an engineering revision transfer we are getting this warning. This is preventing us from completing the transfer. When we go to Eng Transfer History this is the transfer description we have. What is preventing this transfer from being completed / how do we find out what is preventing the transfer from being completed? 

I have seen that there is already a “Component Repair Order to handle Configured Parts” topic, but is there any feasible process in IFS as of today for repairing a configured part that has once been delivered to customer?Buy/take into stock from owning customer Some sort of repair order (multilevel, dissasembly/assembly) etc Delivery to customer againHow would IFS recommend us to use the system for repairs/overhauls if we produce them as configured?/ Kenneth

Hello, I’ve created a few distribution orders to move some parts from Site A to Site B. The multiple parts were all added to the same PO/CO and all looks good. On Site B, I can see the released PO and the lines are available on the register arrivals page. Of course, I cannot receive the lines until the customer order on Site A is delivered. That’s all fine, but when I try to peg material lines on a shop order at Site B, the corresponding lines from the released PO are not displayed. Is this intended behavior or am I missing a step somewhere? Thanks for your help,Dylan

Hello,My customer has this error message when he tries to issue a reserved material line : “ The quantity reserved for part XXX on site XXX at location XXX should not be negative.” Thanks for your help.

Hello, We are looking to improve manufacturing cost estimates and cost reporting through IFS. We primarily design and fabricate custom systems with job-unique BOMs. We are not using DOP at the moment, but have it on the radar in the future. On the shop order costs page, we can see estimated and actual material, labor, machine, etc. costs. Until items are issued or operations are reported, the actual cost is $0. Thus, the estimated cost can be useful. An issue with the estimated cost is that it is $0.00 for new items that don’t have a history in the system. Even once these new items are received into inventory and there is an inventory unit cost, the estimated material cost field on the Inventory Part Unit Cost page still shows $0. Thus, other than our interconnecting piping, fittings, etc. that are used on every job, our estimated cost is completely missing. I just created a new site in our IFS 10 environment.When checking the basic data in costing, I found, that UPD 21 has several new Costing parameters . Unforturneately, IFS documentation Define Cost Parameters https://server/documentation/en/Costing/ActivityDefineCostParameters.htm only describes some of the parameters.I had a look in the latest doc of 24R2 (https://docs.ifs.com/ifsclouddocs/24r2/Costing/ActivityDefineCostParameters.htm  which is lacking a description of most of the parameters as well.These are new parameters in IFS 10, or in some of IFS 10 Updates.Parameter CodeCAPTURE_COST_SOURCESCOPY_APPROVED_PARTSCOPY_SUBCONTRACT

 In Part Master Data > Revisions and Attributes>Part RevisionWas there a change in IFS at some point that auto-populates the Revision No into the Revision Text field? We use revision text occasionally for a different piece of part master meta data and now seeing a system generated value in this field is causing issues and confusion.   

Different customers ordering same Part No - but needing handling unit quantities to be different Is there a way to accomplish with SAME Part No? 

When a user who has the access to this screen tries to open it, it fails to load with this error. I have tested this with another user account with the same permissions, etc and I can access the screen and do a search. I have tried going to this screen with debug console on with the user account that fails to load it, and nothing is output to the console.IFS 10 update 21, hosted internally.Any ideas what could be wrong please for this one user? We are using Apps 10. We are following the guidance from a previous question in the community “Can a part that has been serialized be un-serialized later?”To start, we cycle counted out all the inventory that was in stock.We confirmed there is no stock in transit. When we toggled off Serial Tracking At Receipt and Issue we got error message “Receipt and Issue must be enabled if the part is serial tracked in inventory” So we started again and toggled off Serial Tracking In Inventory and got the error message “Condition code can be enabled only in combination with Inventory Serial Tracking and/or Lot/Batch Tracking”So we start

Is there a place in the system where the total weight of a handling unit and it’s contents are displayed?  I put a bunch of material into a drum and the handling unit label sums it up, but I can’t find anywhere in the system where that weight is available.IFS 10 UPD9

We are trying to become ISO certified and for that we need to have better traceability.  I’m finding if we turn on lot tracking, we have to create all new part numbers because the system would lock up since all the current products don't have lot information.  Is this an accurate statement of what will happen, and connected is there an option to start manually putting in a lot number for products, so eventually when we turn on Lot Tracking it wont cause issues.  From a quality perspective I want to be able to locate a finished product and digitally trace it back to the raw materials.  I just don't know if there is a middle group between the forced lot process and nothing. Thanks in advance

Hi!I have created saved search to hide some inactive work types. I can separately here choose this saved search but when choosing three dots from the Work type menu the whole long list with  comes up. Is there any way to put also the same saved search as default to the next pop up window? 

We have a scenario where a business has expired stock and they wish to perform an Inventory Control Plan to re-test this stock, prior to potentially updating the expiration date. However, when we create the Inventory Analysis, we are unable to populate the Lot/Batch record and receive an error ‘Inventory analysis cannot be updated. No available quantity exists in the Lot XXXXXX for Part No Y in Site Z’ The only way around this appears to be to update the expiration date, but that defeats the purpose of the test. Is it really not possible to have a control plan for expired stock?

This is for IFS Cloud (Cloud hosted) new implementation with IFS Cloudthey are facing a challenge with IFS Cloud Hosted environment regarding the use of Shop Floor Workbench Kiosk Accounts under Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). This method conflicts with their security policies, particularly around MFA, and they need a solution that complies with these requirements.Business Impact: We are currently unable to use Shop Floor Workbench Kiosks in the IFS Cloud Hosted environment, which is preventing us from utilizing the functions and licenses we have acquired in a secure and compliant manner.NOTE:Customer was  on APP10 On prem and Currently, they have 50 kiosk stations, each with 2-5 employees who log in using a general Kiosk Full User License (username and password) in IFS 10 on-prem, within a secure network. After logging in, they access the Workbench screen using their Employee IDs to perform tasks. Looking for guidance to accomplish this  f

Hello all, I have not been able to find the answer in the help section, or through general testing. I am trying to enforce the requirement of a decimal point in a variable analysis entry. We are currently using IFS Apps 10 UPD 22As an example: If the nominal value is 90.5, Outer Min is 90.0, and Outer Max is 91.0, is there any way to force the operator to report the measurement to at least 1 decimal place?The fields appear to be basic numerical entry fields and I do not see any settings for variable that allow you to specific to a certain decimal place. I am not sure if this functionality exists or not, but I am hoping for some guidance. Thank you. 

Hi All,according to this Video (11:05) it is possible to enable RoHS in the ECO-footprint part-information. (APPS 10 ) However, in Cloud 24R2 there is no such an option on the same page.Is it possible that this function is blocked and we need another module?
