Greetings!

I can see the definition of each action type for rules (IFS Apps 10) below, but can anyone put it in “kindergarten” terms what each means ?

Hi @Dekforce94,

I am not sure whether this helps but here is what I know:

Unavailable

Used to prevent invalid or obsolete options from being selected.

Available

Used to explicitly allow certain options that might otherwise be hidden.

Attach Required

Used for mandatory components like a base frame or safety feature of a product.

Attach Optional

Used for recommended accessories or default settings. You can either keep it or remove it.

Detach

Used to clean up conflicting or outdated selections.

Message

Used to guide users or alert them to special conditions.

Allowed Combination

Used to enforce compatibility rules (e.g., you can’t pick a diesel engine with an electric-only chassis).

Stop

Used to enforce hard rules and prevent invalid orders.

I do not have a proper understanding on the last one: External
