Greetings!
I am new to IFS Apps 10. When talking about the Part Configuration Revision vs. the Sales Rules, which one leads the other? I know they are both important, but which one would you say determines what can be picked?

Hi
To my understanding,
Part Configuration Revision: The Part Configuration Revision is essentially the version control for the configuration of a part. It ensures that any changes made to the configuration are tracked and managed. Basically, it defines what is possible to build.
Sales Rules: Sales Rules, on the other hand, are the guidelines that dictate how a part can be configured during the sales process. These rules ensure that the configurations are valid and meet the necessary criteria for production and sales.
Therefore, in my opinion, Sales Rules play a leading role since they ensure that the configurations are valid and can be produced, thus directly influencing the options available during the configuration process. On the other hand, Part Configuration Revision supports this by maintaining the integrity and version control of the configurations.
