Hi, The users are trying to update the tax code but are getting this error message :‘This record is now Active. You can only update the valid to date’ I have tried to inactivate this and the inventory part but that doesnt work. I cant find a valid to date? Greetings!I can see the definition of each action type for rules (IFS Apps 10) below, but can anyone put it in “kindergarten” terms what each means ?
Greetings!I am new to IFS Apps 10. When talking about the Part Configuration Revision vs. the Sales Rules, which one leads the other? I know they are both important, but which one would you say determines what can be picked?
Hello,I have a question regarding the Production Line. Why is the production line connected to the calendar as it is already set up for work center? What would happen if I put an “empty calendar” for the production line and the right one is correctly connected for the work center? What would be the impact?Thank you!
Today we use the operaton block function to block a number of operations from different shop orders into on operation block. It works. We now use the to a degree where the shop floor operator operates more than on operation block at a time.Is there a way to automated the shop floor operator time registrations between the two or more operation block?/Jørgen Eskildsen
Hi,We are in the process of upgrading from IFS10 to IFS Cloud. In the Upgrade scripts, we found a long running script in costing 2110.upg. This is caused by moving Cost set related data to the newly created cost set specific tables cost set 2 - cost set 11. I could not find any documentation in the release notes about cost sets 6 - 11, except in which has a note on slide 4 → “Part Cost Bucket Performance”.This is also mentioned in KB0069266 https://support.ifs.com/csm?id=kb_article_view&sys_kb_id=63f1ec64c3f99a1465365083e40131c3&table=kb_knowledge&searchTerm=part_cost_Bucket. Question is:What is the intention of IFS for the usage of cost set 6 - 11? In our solution we have defined our company specific cost set like 100, 200 and a view more. These cost sets contain > 100 millions of records. Therefore, we would like to make use of any performance gains possible. is there a possiblity to extend the concept of cost set 6 -11 further to the cost set numbers we are using in o
Hello,Can you tell me what the “Inventory value comparators” is for?thank you for your help
It is posible to run MRP so that it ignores Interim Order Demand and does not create Material Requisition?
Greetings! In my DOP Header, and I keep getting the following message about a Characteristic does not have a value. So I check in the Part Configuration Revision in FD Frame but all I see is below. How do I fix this in IFS Apps 10?
Hello, When I try to enter a broken number in the Qty per assembly field, it is not accepting rounded numbers. In the example, I try to enter a value of 2.8 kg, when I press the tab key it automatically changes to 28 kg, ignoring the decimal place.Has anyone seen this before?
We have an issue where a shop order with an outside operation has a requisition that has been converted to a purchase order BUT the PO has been cancelled. Even though the PO is cancelled, IFS won’t generate another requisition for this outside operation step. Ship WIP to Supplier is Visible because we’ve reversed the Ship WIP. Purchase requisition is still the cancelled PO.Line in status “PO Created”PO CancelledMRP won't generate another requisition for this order. I just ran it and did a search for my order ref 1 and this is the only requisition that shows up. The only way I can see to fix this is to uncancel the order in the DB.
Hi We are trying to find the best way to utilize IFS Non Conformance Report for working according to the 8D-method. This is standard in the automotive industri and we are obliged to document according to this method. Has anyone else done this and found best practice for this in IFS? We are thinking of a couple of alternatives: Create one action in the NCR, then create/process one CAPA for this but it doesn´t cover all the 8 steps. Create 8 actions in the NCR to represent the 8 steps in the method. Create CAPA actions for step 3 and 5 in the method if necessary. (It is a lot of steps/administration to handle each action) Create one NCR with one Capa, then create 8 actions in the CAPA.
Is there an option to flag a part/inventory part as a Non-Quantity Bearing Part? In Aurena 23I’m defining non-quantity bearing as:Can be included on BOMs (product structures) Does NOT affect inventory balances: No stock quantity is recorded No stock transactions are performed (Receive, Issue, Count, Move, Scrap do not apply)
Greetings! How do I add more options to my Configuration Structure Rules in IFS Apps 10?
As you know there are certain things you cannot change after a record is save. For example, you cannot change an inventory part’s unit of measure after the initial setting is made. Does anyone have a comprehensive list of things like this throughout the who system???
Greetings!I created a new option value ID under Config Characteristics below However I can not get to show up under the FD Model Option value ID in the Part Configuration Revision in IFS APPS 10
Greetings! How do you add a Part Number to the Config Family in APPS 10?
Greetings! If I made the following part, but forgot to make it Configurable how do I go back and change it in IFS APPS 10?
There is a neat feature in the Shop Floor Workbench (SFWB) that allows the operator to manage downtime transactions and manually add downtime results and clockings. These are created by either the start and stop downtime from the SFWB and optionally, from the same functions on the Time Clock. In an environment that does NOT use shop orders but produces on production schedules, my customer would like to manually add downtime results but they find it less than desirable to have an operator go to the SFWB. The ultimate goal is this is to develop performance reports that uses a lot of this information and others and possibly position themselves for OEE.I am open to suggestions as to how to do this as efficiently as possible. Is there a way to just add the “Manage Downtime” functions to the navigator???This customer does not report time by employee so I thought having the production line workcenters as employees and perhaps wage codes as the part numbers they are producing and use the man
I need a quick answer here, please. What date is used on the Inventory Transaction History when this aggregation is run? The created date of the transaction or the date applied?
Hello,I would like to split the operations within a work center across multiple resources. However, when I try to do this, I can’t set the quantity on the main work center (parent) to zero—it requires a value, even if it's not meaningful.Do you know how to solve this? Or could you suggest the proper way to assign operations to individual machines (resources) within the same work center?
We have two manufacturing sites in a planning network doing custom manufacturing. That is to say material requirements between the two sites varies day-to-day. We may stock an item at site A that is primarily used there, but may be required at site B from time-to-time, or vice versa. To facilitate the movement of these inventory parts, we run planning network MRP each morning to determine what needs to be transported to the other site. The distribution orders are automatically released and a scheduled database task reserves the customer order items and prints a pick list. Once the parts are picked, they are shipped to the other location. A CRIM then reserves the material lines and prints out shop order pick lists so the items can be picked to the proper shop order bins at the demand site. In theory this works great, but there is one issue we’ve uncovered. Items that are stored in Floor Stock locations are not automatically reserved to customer orders because of the location type restri
afternoon community,i am trying to count off inventory stock but get the error message below when trying to save the count report.does anyone know what is causing this error?thanks,Jamie
Is there an option to backflush operation steps within Shop floor Workbench module?
Our customer uses a prototype structure for cost demonstration, and their product structure includes multiple levels. I noticed that the "Cost Build-Up per Structure/Routing" page doesn't seem to support cost calculation for multi-level structures.Do you know if there's an alternative way to handle this, or any workaround you could recommend? Thanks in advance for your support!
