Hi Experts,I have a basic question regarding generating Excel file output from IFS Cloud table data.We’ve already developed a customization that writes the table data into a CSV file using a CLOB and the Plsqlap_Server_API.Post_Outbound_Message method.Now, there’s a new requirement to generate the output in Excel (.xlsx) format instead of CSV. Since I’m still new to IFS Cloud framework and integrations, I’d like to check whether this is achievable through a customization or if there’s a standard out-of-the-box (OOTB) way to handle this.Your guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I have inter-site orders where the purchase order has been cancelled as required but the customer order has not been cancelled first. When we now go to cancel the customer order it does not allow as i get the error message:Is there a way to cancel the customer order down. I thought i could change status of PO and then cancel order line and customer order before cancelling PO but i can not change anything on the PO as it is cancelled.Kind RegardsMick

Hi,Is it possible to pull data from an API call that is being called to used to trigger a workflow?For instance when NewEmploymentHandling.svc/NewEmploymentSet is called take the SavedEmpNo and use it to make another API call within a workflow?Kind regards,Josh

Community, any idea what is the root cause of this error? 

I tried this in both 23R1 and 24R2 environments with latest version of developer studio.Just trying to override crud_create and initialize a customized variable.Cant find any methods in sublayers.Any idea how to resolve this?

My Default value for my custom field (check box) has stopped populating for new records.My custom field:Persistent Boolean Value Enum (TRUE or FALSE boolean) I set the Default Value to FALSE For every new record that was created, my custom field had the check box default to FALSE, but it just recently it stopped working.Anybody having the same issue? We did not do any major updates or changes to to the environment or the custom field. 

Usually, the end users (our customers) are using IFS on multiple tabs and windows, to work as efficiently as possible throughout the day.In our previous version, 22R2 SU16, the system stays on the same page if the user has to log in after being inactive and the end user can pick up where they left off.But in our current version, 24R1 SU05, the page resets to the default page, not only in the window where the end user had to log in again, but in all the other open windows as well.Please guide us in understanding this logic in 24R1 that seems to reduce the end users experience and is quite counter productive for an ERP system

Hi, My end goal is to modify an existing report model. I would like to add other fields not found on the original entity/view of the report, but that are related in some way.I’ve gathered that in order to modify existing reports, I have to do it through “core files,” but I dont know how to download/access those core files.Any help would be appreciated.

Hi IFS Community!I’m poking around in some of the %_SYS packages in the Oracle database, trying to determine whether IFS has a procedure for invoking the transmission of a file to an SFTP server through the IFS Connect configuration, akin to the COMMAND_SYS.Mail procedure. Has anyone stumbled across such a thing? This inquiry is applicable for IFS Apps 10 and IFS Cloud, both are on-premise installs.Thanks!Regards,Randy

We just updated our environment to 24.2.4. I tried the syntax of isNew() OR isDirty() but it looks like it only hides the markdown text entry regardless if it meets this condition or not. This is on the Invoice assistant of the Customer Page (CustomerInfo form). See below:​​Note: If I changed the Visible condition to just toggle to “true”, it is showing (when no conditions applied). See below: Am I missing something? Or Would there be another syntax to show the Markdown Text for child record (in this case, the Customer Invoice child record). Thanks!

Hello Everyone,We created our first custom component and it was successfully delivered to our use place client. We checked the Component Registration screen and it was not there.We checked the following: Confirmed the delivery installation was successful in the Delivery Registration Screen. Verified that the new component and the entities within it exist in the database. Checked module_tab and our component is registered and active. We checked the solution.yaml file and the component was active too. Refreshed the Server Cache within the client multiple times.Has anyone had similar issue where their component was registered in the database but not in their client after a successful delivery?  

Currently the soft overtakes using $SEARCH and $REPLACE is only supported in the  PLSQL, PLSVC and VIEWs files.Modifying client/projection core logic therefore requires full overtake even though it can be done using a simple search and replace.In my opinion, this should be available for client, projection and fragments so developers could minimize big overtakes.Creating this as a conversation before submitting as an idea to get other developer opinion since for us, this has beginning to become a problem and we want to avoid customizations with overtakes to maintain evergreen as much as possible.I’m glad to hear others’ opinion on this and the experience so far with cloud developments. Hello! My company is exploring options to reduce the number of calls that come in asking for tracking numbers on customer orders. On our Shipment screen, when orders are processed through our shipping software, tracking info is automatically populated in the Master Tracking No column in the Freight Transactions tab. Could we write a custom event that would email the  Receiver of the Shipment whenever that master tracking number is imported? If so, how could we go about doing this?Thanks!

Is it possible to debug PL/SQL code in IFS Cloud? If so, how does one configure it. I’m unable to figure out how to call the Dbms_Network_Acl_Admin.Append_Host_Ace procedure necessary to create the required ACL no matter what I’ve tried. Build Place obviously. Know Use Places wouldn’t be possible or I’d be surprised if you could.

I have created a Quick Report (Crystal Report) that has a parameter @OrderNo. Next I created a custom menu on the Customer Order screen that maps the parameter:  Source = ORDER_NO  Destination:  @OrderNo On doing RMB and selecting the custom menu the @OrderNo parameter is displaying the Order No for the Customer Order that was in view at the time which is what I expected.  However, when the report is displayed no data is being displayed. If I run the report in Crystal Reports and enter the Order No the report displays data. I have tried selecting View on the Quick Report and entering the Order No in the parameter field and again no data is being displayed. Any ideas?   John  

Hi all,Why does my custom screen gets cleared when I go back to it from the ’Recent Screens’ button?The ’Back’ button of the browser works fine in this sense, I can see all my previous data there.Most other screens, for instance ’Inventory Part’, retain their displayed data when I return to them via the ’Recent Screens’ button also.How can I make my custom screen retain its queried data on such occasions too, when using the ’Recent Screens’ button?It is Cloud 24.1.4. Thanks in advanceJanos

HI!   I have a problem with Push Notification in IFS App10 UPD23. (Left bottom corner in application).When I'm starting the application in the bottom left corner I see an orange exclamation mark with a note:‘Push notification disconnected. Streams will reconnect automatically once the service is available.’ (pic 1)pic. 1So I don’t have any notification. (from background jobs, tasks, changes rows etc).I tried to add a subscription to some row, but nothing happened after adding a subscription to the row. Hi,I have problems upgrading a functionality to Cloud that worked in App8.It is an On-Premise Cloud installation.In App8 this value on the routing address:%FILE_OUT%/%RECEIVER%/%MESSAGE_FUNCTION%_%GUID%.xmlhad the desired effect of dynamically creating the directory named ’%RECEIVER%’ in ’%FILE_OUT%’ and the file was nicely put there. But in Cloud, no matter how I try, I get this error message:ExecutionException from Sender thread Caused by: ifs.fnd.connect.senders.ConnectSender$TemporaryFailureException: Error while sending data to file Caused by: jcifs.smb.SmbException: The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.I have tried with slash, backslash,doubling it, did not help.The value of RECEIVER is fine, if I use it like this:%RECEIVER%_%MESSAGE_FUNCTION%_%GUID%.xmlI get a nice output file, so it is not about the op system user not having enough grants for the directory.
