I am working with some customers who are planning to move from older IFS systems apps7, app8 and app9 and upgrading to the latest and greatest IFS offering apps10. HiWe are planning to perform a test DR of our infrastructure and IFS system as this is a requirement for SOX/Audit to evidence we have performed this task. We have Oracle database on a Linux server, whereas IFS environments are on Windows servers. We have Mobile and 360 in addition to the Middle Ware (MW) server.  We are using IFS Apps 8.Our Windows servers are mirrored using a 3rd party product, and i believe the plan is to fail over to a mirrored equivalent during the test. We copy the Live Oracle files to our TEST Oracle server hourly. The plan is to create the Live database on the test server using the backed up files transferred from Live server.Once the database is up, i understand i need to perform a re-config on the MW server to point to this database on the test server instead of the Live server for the purpose of DR test. Are there any other steps I need to perform to allow IFS to work in this DR scenario? I am looking for g

Dear IFS Heroes, I want to print 100 lines in one go via Picked Pick List Lines but IFS 9 returns an error: At present I can print nothing more than 20 lines in one go. Is there a way to mass print more lines?   Thank you.

I would like to perform an action in one custom menu and then move to another window.A simple but not user-friendly solution is to create two custom menus:First: action type: “PL / SQL Block” - execute code (create a new row in the table), Second: action type: “Create window with transfer” - go to window.Is it possible to switch to another window in the “PL / SQL block” (run procedure / function)?

Hopefully not me having a Monday moment... I have 3 Custom LUs: LU1 KEY: MODEL_NO, REV_NO (Persistent Number Fields) LU2 KEY: MODEL_REF (Persistent Reference Field, ultimately the OBJKEY from LU1) LU3 KEY: MODEL_REF (Persistent Reference Field, ultimately the OBJKEY from LU1) I want to navigate from LU3 → LU2 via the KEY (MODEL_REF). At VIEW level there are 2 columns MODEL_REF and MODEL_REF_DB. I have used ERROR_SYS.Record_General to peek at the values behind each key; the results are interesting: MODEL_REF (2019-12-02_16-16-43.jpg) - This value matches the one shown in debug console when loading the screen MODEL_REF_DB (2019-12-02_16-21-14.jpg) - “Invalid Type definition” error... Can someone make this work?

Can we enable sorting in the search screen for a coumn which is not part of the primary table,We see taht right now we are only allowed to sort columns which are part of the primary table for the screen and not on the columns which are related to the primary table.

I’ve never tried creating conditional formatting based off of a null/blank date field before and nothing I seem to try works. The docs say you can use the same conditions as you do in search, so I tried !%. Ironically % works for identifying records with dates.  I’ve tried <>%, = and <1/1/1 with no affect. Tried just <> to a date range, as you enter it you get ‘Your query can not be compiled’ Any ideas/solutions?   Thanks, Lane

We noticed that special characters (Eg Swedish ÅÖÄ) are garbaged when deploy via IFS installer file executor. This happens to be due to the UTF-8 file encoding and it works fine when the file encoding is changed to ANSI (can test with attached script). Has anyone encountered the same issue and found a smart way to get over it rather than changing file encoding? Version: Apps10 UPD 6   Cheers!

We have purchased the SSRS module for Apps10. We have not been able to get it installed correctly. Unfortunately, the documentation in IFS help is for Apps9 and it is different. Does anyone have current Apps10 technical documentation for Apps10? We are on UPD2 planning to update to UPD6.

We have a user that is getting an ORA error while entering a Customer Order - specifically while entering Customer Order Lines, for a particular customer. Hi We understand a view ending in _CFV is a custom field view used when we’ve customised a screen or table. However we see views with uiv_cfv.  Does anyone know the difference and what these views are for? A quick look of the construct of the view doesnt show any obvious differences. Regards Shaun

COST ESTIMATION INTEGRATION I am busy with an implementation for a construction solution and I am looking to find out some more information around a cost estimation software integration with IFS as this is a requirement from the customer.Has this kind of integration been successfully developed in another implementation? How was it integrated? What was the type of cost estimation details that were integrated? Was this integrated with the Project WBS or Sub Contracts?Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. 

Hello, do you know, what is right location of CrystalReport Layout file (*.rpt) in harvest? If is need to copy it to right folder structure on App Server and respect language mutation. I found some in <module>/client/runtime, but it’s weird location. I expected them in manualInstallation folder. Do Delivery builder automatically copy it from some location to manualDeploy folder? I am struggeling with creating custom fields on this page. When I enter the overview for custom fields I can see my custom fields but they are not visible to add on the tbw. I have reloaded the configuration and restarted EE but only Menu-items can be used on tbwRepresentativeCustomer and no custom fields. I have seen this behavior on other pages as well so is there any limitation on where we can see custom fields or is this a bug?    

Is there a manual on setting up basic reports?Can I mix data sources?

We have a list of IFS document names in Sharepoint.  Each document name has a link to IFS, which then opens the document.  The link works when the user’s browser is Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge.  It fails when the user’s default browser is Chrome, Mozilla, Firefox, etc.  That’s because the link must first open IFS 10 (which it can’t do) before IFS can open it for viewing.  Requiring all our users to set their default browser to either IE or Edge is NOT an option.How do I force a document link to open with a specific browser?  For example, if the user has Chrome as the default browser, how do I force the link to open IFS 10 in Microsoft Edge? 

I tried to set a newly created Lobby as a homepage for a base profile.  I thought i got it to work, however when the end users log in, they get the following error message.  I think it is because the Lobby is set to my personal data rather than generic for all.  The steps i took to do this:Go to Options and chose the User Profile. Then clicked edit base profile and chose our Quality base profile.  Then with that base profile active in my screen, i searched for the Quality Lobby and opened the page.  Clicked on Options>General and clicked Use current to make that Lobby the home pageWhat am i doing wrong/missing?  

Hi, would it be possible to run an IFS10 test on Oracle Database 12c: EM Database Express?

We could populate an object in a form window (e.g. Customer Order), and use Send To > Mail Recipient as Link to create an external URL for an single object. We could also select multiple objects in a table window and perform Send To > Mail Recipient as Link as shown below. How do I send multiple objects in a form window? For example, how to I have two customer orders to populate in Customer Order window by clicking an external link?

We have successfully deployed and populated the IFS Business Analysis Package OLAP cubes for IFS Apps 9 in a test environment. I found the Measures deployed within the Sales cube, which are based on the SUM aggregation, are not populating. However, I have confirmed there are Measures based on the SUM aggregation functioning correctly within the Manufacturing cube.There is data within the Sales-related Data Mart SQL tables as well. I did try changing the data types on the SQL Data Mart table and in the Cube via Visual Studio, neither of which worked.Has anyone else experience issues like this with the IFS OLAP cubes? Basically, there is data within the SQL tables but the Cube measures are not aggregating the SUM in the Sales OLAP cube.    

Hi All, A rookie question :)When creating a new entity in Developer Studio, it will automatically generate the .cre file but when creating the delivery, the build script will not add the cre file to the install.temWhat should we do to deploy the new Entity table creation from the delivery? Cheers! 

I would like to get a list of all the permission sets that have been assigned to a user, whether directly or indirectly. I can currently get a list of the directly linked permissions but we have some permission sets that are made up of other permissions. e.g.  If a user has been assigned this permission I can see:User: BLOGGSFND_ROLE: BA_BARS_ADMIN What I would like to see is:User: BLOGGSFND_ROLE: BA_BARS_ADMINFND_ROLE: FND_RUNTIME Is this possible?
