Hi,   We’re thinking about using IFS in China and would like feedback regarding the experience (performance, issues with the Great Firewall of China, technical challenges if any etc), IFS would be mainly used for logistic(shipments and PO arrivals) . We are trying to edit a section in Aurena so that employees only see certain columns. I go to the page designer and then to the tabs section. Then I go down to the binding section and I can see the “Bindname”. Does anyone know how to edit those? In the Opportunity Lines section I want to limit what the employees are seeeing.    

I’d like to format a column heading with all caps as it is an acronym COGS, but haven’t figured out how to do it; it seems IFS always translates it to camel case. The closest I got was with a space between each char, but I’d like it to be w/o spaces.

My SolarWinds Database Performance Analyzer is reporting some specific indexing issues. This one caused 41m 25s of wait time in 63 different queries  I wonder if anyone has had any success tweaking indexes in IFS?  Index: MATERIAL_HISTORY_IX2 (in IFSAPP)  

Hi, I have a similar issue than this post :  https://community.ifs.com/technology-infrastructure-cloud-integration-dev-tools-50/xmlparse-name-view-name-mismatch-schedules-in-message-request-at-2-1-1882   I’m using a routing rule where i initially go thought a Binary transformer to the ITS Create Customer order and then to the LoadInboxMessage. When using a String Transformer , everything works fine . When i’m using a Binary transformer this message appears  :  XMLPARSE_NAME:View name mismatch: BINARY_PARAMETER != ORDERS_REQUEST at [2:1]  Both tests have the same xml format and data as the ouput of the transformer. The main difference is the usage of a byte array as the ouput of the binary transformer.  

Hi!  For every customer of ours, we provide a ‘Support Environment’, which consists of a dedicated app server and daily updated Oracle database (copy of Production database) for troubleshooting purposes.  Until IFS V10, this processes ran automatically and our clients could access IFS without any intervention. With IFS V10, every time we copy our Production database (using datafiles from previous backup and archive logs) to Support database, we need to reconfigure the application so it can be accessible.  Is there a way to automate this process?  Thanks in advance! Does anyone know where can we change the configuration fields below directly on the database (Oracle)? We need to setup our database copy script so we don’t need to reconfigure it every time we restore a database in another environment (what we do a lot).

I have a user that never receives the numerical notification in his Streams when he is sent something. If he clicks on the Streams button, he does see the task/notice, however there is not red alert to indicate it is there. He appears to be the only user this is happening to, and I do not see anywhere in Streams that there is a config to turn the notice on or off. Any help or guidance on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi, I have configured my Apps9 middleware server to user LDAP (on-prem) Active Directory. The AD password works fine and users can login using their AD account. However, the issue arises when oracle accounts get locked and expire, users cannot then login with their AD credentials.   Is the recommended practise to change oracle profiles so passwords never expire and accounts never lock, or should I be doing something different.

We are experiencing issues where users have been created using a user account as opposed to IFSAPP.    This morning we had an error relating not having access to user proxy.   Could this be due to the user creating the user not having the rights to grant CONNECT?   Should users only be created by IFSAPP?

We are in an IFS Apps 10 managed environment and would like to interface into IFS by calling existing Oracle API's from an external application. We run into limititations with the Excell add-in and Migration Jobs. Any Idea's ?

I have created a custom field in Sales price list part. I am trying to migrate data into Sales Price list Part to insert and Update the data incl. the custom field. I have followed the Guides available for the Custom field migration job but it seems i am missing something. The migration job is able to insert but does not allow for Update and prompts the error (ORA-20112: SalesPriceListPart.EXIST2: The Sales Price List Part object already exists.) Any help would be appreciated.

We’ve created a new context/scope in Aurena and want to roll it out to users. The only way I can find to do that is by default company. We have several business units and would like some users to see one style screen, and other users to see a different one. They are all users with the same default company. Is there any other way to do this other than company?      

When entering text fields (like Part numbers) using the numeric keypad, the dot is shown as a comma. The regional and keyboard settings in Windows are set to keyboard layout en-US, which in every other application results in a dot.  Changing regional settings or numeric format in the IFS options gives no result.  Is there a way to influence the behavior of this? 

In IFS9, we were able to log in to weblogic console using the following URL. <http://host_name:7001/console>   However, the page of weblogic console is not displayed even if the following URL is accessed with IFS10. <http://host_name:7001/console> <https://host_name:7001/console>   Can you tell me how to login to Weblogic Console in IFS10?

I sent this topic to IFS Support in March, but have not received an answer. Hoping someone maybe can give me a “yes”/”no”:   We use IFS V9. We updated in the Application Base Setup > Enterprise > Site, under the Inventory > General tab, the Picking Lead Time to be 10 days for all sites in Prod. However, if we have to key a short-lead order, we get an "INFORMATION MESSAGE: THE DUE DATE IS EARLIER THAN TODAY'S DATE. EARLIER POSSIBLE DELIVERY DATE IS YYYY-MM-DD" for every line item. We can press OK and bypass the message, and it will let you continue keying, but again - it occurs with every line item, which makes keying more of a task. We are looking for a possible way to disable this message?    

In IFS 75 version Reference_sys package during refresh active list has validation that CASCADE option is only valid for P - primary key. Since IFS 8 version there is no that validation. I want to ask whether CASCADE option for A - attribute column or K - key are proper AQS behaviour? It make sens to use it?
