We’re upgrading from Apps9, where we use AD Sync to create IFS users authenticated through LDAP, to Apps 10, which doesn’t have that option. We are actively exploring the other authentication options (ADFS, Azure AD) as well as DB Authenticated. At this time, we have 200+ AD user accounts. Recreating these users as DB authenticated accounts is not an option.   Is there a way to change a user that was created from AD Sync to a DB authenticated account?

In the API PROJECT_CONNECTION_TEMP_API there is an Insert method. I don’t know where in IFS this is called from but I need to know. I have searched every trigger, database task and custom event for references to PROJECT_CONNECTION_TEMP_API but there is no mention of it. Can someone tell me where this API is called from? I am using Apps8. Thank you.

Hi, If I make a request to an SOAP endpoint via the IFS SOAP Gateway. Where would I find the response message from the endpoint?    

I am currently looking at a way to implement an extra day’s Holiday entitlement for employees with more than 20 year’s service.   The maximum limit I can generate at the moment is 25 days. I am trying to raise this to 26. The HOL absence limit considers the assignment type in the employee record: The maximum work time value is 1, Ideally I’d assume that I would be able to increase this to 1.04 but IFS doesn’t allow that.   So my question is, where is the figure of 25 days coming from? Is this a default value in IFS? Is it generated from a calendar? Thanks in advance, Tom

Hi, We have IFS Applications 9 and run the application mostly on Win 10 computers. We have a problem with dialog boxes not being “on top”. The dialog box gets stuck behind and locks the entire computer with no possibility to access the task manager or any other application. The only thing to do is to press the power button on the PC. Very frustrating! Anyone have any experience of this problem and (hopefully) a solution?   Thanks in advance!

We want to install a new TEST-environment and name it to IFSTEST3 (the copy is from IFSTEST2). I have already made a RMAN restore and have the new DB copy ready. But how to create a new instance the easiest way? We have 139 deliveries and I don´t want to install all these manually.

Hi, I’m trying to setup a connection to an external API from IFS 9. I don’t have access to REST POST requests but I should be able to make SOAP calls, but I’m not sure if I have a SOAP Gateway. How would I know if I have SOAP Gateway running? BR Kresten

Is anyone else experiencing issues where custom layouts or fields disappear on the users?  We are using a combination of base profiles with personal profiles. The solution thus far has been to have the user uncheck the custom layout button within properties but then check it back and everything resets to normal. Some users are fine with this but then some users say they have to do this often.

Would it be possible to setup IFS 10 to setup an event action to send a post request to an external API endpoint? I can’t do that in IFS 9.   BR Kresten

Hello, Is there a way, we can record upto 4 serial numbers in a work order quotation under one work order. Currently we are manually recording multiple serials under Planning Tab in Sales part Description field. Moving on we want to use more serialized part and looking for a way to have multiple serial no.’s attached to one work order..    Serial Structure can be the way to record it? any experience or ideas please. I have a customer who wants to know following. In our Apps 9 environment, we use a mix of AD authenticated users and DB authenticated users. The AD authenticated users are essentially named users, while the DB authenticated users are manufacturing "workcenter" users. With Apps 10, we plan to use ADFS authentication (that's what we have implemented in our test environment.) Our question is whether or not we will be able to continue with the DB authenticated accounts for the "workcenter" users. Is it possible to do "mixed" authentication with some users going through ADFS and some users going through DB authentication? If so, how would we go about enabling it?

Hi all, We have been working with IFS on this issue for several days but without success, and I am losing faith. I have asked for escalation but in the meantime, I wonder if anyone has ideas on what is going on here. Issues: If we try to Download All Packages, we see the first error We see errors 2 and 3 shown below with any Employee/Person form This issue occurs on our Live, Test and Dev instances (Live and Test/Dev are on different physical servers) We do not know exactly when the issue occurred as we do not add new employees often

I have configured report rule setup for sending customer reminder the CC To mail option doesn't send mails at all. I am using IFSV10 upd3.   

Does anyone have a decoder ring for database objects as to what the symbols and colors mean? Some text is blue, some is black, some have a diamond that isn’t filled and others it’s filled. My assumption is that it means either granted or only granted query, but it would be nice to know for sure what it all means. Thanks!

Hi all After installing one extended server in Linux Apps10 upd 6 oracle database 19c. I have realized plsqlap access provider is not working well due to one oracle acl problem. I was trying to create new acls but the problems is not solved. I got this error ORA-24247: network access denied by access control list (ACL). Any help about how create the acls. I thought recreating the instance of the extended server will resolve the problem but not. Any help will be welcome? Regards

Hello Community, after installation of IFS, the processes will start all correctly (startifsAPPS10.bat). The website will shown https://HOSTNAME:48080 correctly. But when I start EE it will be get an 404 Error. There is no service under https://HOSTNAME:48080/main/default/clientgateway Does anyone have an idea?

I have the following code, that updates the required date on Project Navigator Demand based on a custom field. It runs fine as a custom menu, but when i run it as an event on creation of a new demand line, it crashes with a mutating trigger error.   I have created a fairly simple query here selecting all order lines in a “Planned” or “Released” status, where Part No is like “-”, and any value in part description.  I then sum the Sales Qty for the Part No that is grouped.   Our issue is our Part Description is not unique so I really do not need to separate by part description, but if I do not group with it the field does not return values.  As you can see for Part No  100-ST50 we have a description of Diamond 20# and a description of Diamond 20lb,  I simply need the first description shown for a reference and ne
