Mail Recipient opens Chrome window instead of mail message

For some of our users when they click Mail Recipient a Chrome explorer window opens instead of the Outlook New Message. Has anyone else had this and if so, how did your resolve this issue.Regards John

Crystal Quick Report Finance Permission Issue

HelloI would like to see, if there exist a solution to our issue and we are not aware of. Please let me know how you handle this kind of situation.While we are upgrading from IFS8 to IFS10 the report is good in IFS8,Report uses IAL that uses two IFS views IFSAPP.ledger_item_cu_qry & IFSAPP.outgoing_invoice_qry. In IFS10 both of these views are not granted to IFSSYS and we are not thinking of granting this access instead we will replace them with our own views… so in total we will create 3 or more new views to get this working.Is this the only workaround or is there any other better solution for such situation.

We created a test database using RMAN duplication. On trying to log into our test database users are receiving the following error: Failed to retrieve security informationAccess to forms will be restricted.  Can anyone please advise.

LOBBY DATA PR/PO COLUMN

I am trying to see the PO number for parts on a Distro Order, i have the below SQL but it is retuning both closed and open PO’s is there a way for it to only show the open PO’s. Can you make CF in Project Invoices in IFS 10 ?

Hi,I would like to know if you can make CF in the Project Invoices LU ?It is build on INVOICE_TABI can create CF’s in the Invoice LU, and that is also build on INVOICE_TAB, so I don’t understand why this is not an option.BR Kresten

IFS approval requestor

Hello, We currently use the IFS approvals feature, but one of the issues we are facing is that users have no way of knowing who requested their approval on a given item. Often times they may have a question about the approval and they have no way of knowing who actually generated the request.I’ve looked through the system, but I do not see any native function that will tell them who created the request. Is there any way to achieve this through a custom field or is there another way to obtain this info? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Background jobs stuck with rebuilding Materialized Views

Anyone else having an issue with Background jobs stuck with rebuilding Materialized Views? All other background jobs keep piling up in a waiting queue till I manually go and stop this background job. thanks, Steven

Performance issues and background jobs (default queue)

Hi, Over the last few months we have been having performance issues in Apps 9 that have been very difficult to narrow down to a specific cause. We have plenty of overhead in both the database and middleware servers so I don’t think it is a hardware or database performance issue. What I have been able to determine is that when we get really severe performance issues that we have a large job queue (default - 0) of waiting jobs usually caused by a custom job taking longer than normal to process - say 20mins during which time 6 x 10 Invoice posting jobs enter the queue and wait to be processed, this then prevents other jobs from running and they get added to the queue compounding the problem (sometimes upto 900 in waiting state). During this time the system becomes unusable from logging on to simple queries.  So I guess I’m asking: Has anyone else experienced these type of issue? We have 10 batch queues all set to processes:1 and the majority of jobs are all in 0 - default. Should we have

Custom jump to Report achive

Hello.I would like to add new custom menu in (some) window with “create window with transfer” option, and target to window “Report Archive” using RESULT_KEY as parameter.I don’t find this LU in Action Parameters, destinantion window when configuring custom menu.I try find LU “Print Queue” (as another options) also not found. Is it possible to jump into one of these windows with a parameter at all?

HTTP 201 identified as Error when using REST Sender

Hi All,When using REST sender, we use POST to create a new resource in the destination system and the response is HTTP 201. But in IFS, it is identified as an error which shouldn't be the case. IFS identifies only 200 as success.  Is there is any workaround to rectify this issue? Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks!

Lobby Data Warehouse Location

Good morning, i am trying to get a column in my data source that shows the warehouse location of the Avail Qty from the Supply Site on a Distribution Order. Apps 9: How many processes do you have in your batch queues?

We have issues where functionality slows down, and I have noticed it can be caused by large jobs being undertaken during the day. These are often cleared through relatively quickly but we are then left with a backlog of jobs waiting.We currently have 1 process on each of the 10 queues we have setup.I would like to increase that for jobs that are not required to run on a single threaded queue but am concerned on the fall out.How many batch queues do you have configured, and do you have more than one process on any of these??

Base Profile issue

Hello, I have made changes to my Base Profile for Shop Floor Workbench/Attachments tab. Specially, I’ve hidden columns on the Documents/Attachments tab. I have the users configured with a Disabled Personal Profile. I am now seeing the following error message when the users open SFWB:This message now appears every time a user restarts their IFS session and logs into IFS. I am able to avoid this issue by turning on Personal Profiles for the users, but I do not want to enable that. I’m not sure what needs configured, or if it is possible to have Personal Profiles disabled, and still make column changes to the Documents tab columns. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

IAL scheduling error

Hi,When I am trying to schedule an IAL in IFS10, the background job is showing error details as “Table not found. Redeploy the scripts manually                    ORA-20105: IalObject.REPTABNOTEXIST”When the same IAL is configured as Live data, then there is no issue in fetching data.Could anyone help in resolving this error? Thanks in advance!

Lobby Data Source How to Get Avail QTY Locations

I am trying to see Distribution Orders that are open and fillable, i need to see the locations that the Available Qty is in. Custom IFS Report in Multiple Language

Hi I developed a custom IFS report designer report for Apps 10 customer. They want this report to be in both English and Dutch. So after I deploy the report, i also Scan Translatable Code and add the translation for the report in both English and Dutch. After that i did the Refresh Cache and Refresh Language Cache also. But when I try to run the report, i only get option to select English as the language and Not Dutch. Where in case of standard IFS reports, i see the dropdown with all valid language. Any idea what i missed?

APPS9 - How can I stop application messages looping??

I have an urgent issue where application messages are stuck at processing - which appears to be filling the archive logs.Everytime i try to stop the job i receive an error message informing me that the ‘application message object has been locked by another user’.Any ideas??

Navigate from one view to a different view IFS LOBBY
