I tried to use the 'initcontext' of the 'page' to define url parameters. The problem is, that I have no idea how to put the parameter into the url. Hi I'm having problems with using projections included in Compatibility Application Type.  I am getting 401 when I try to access the integration links (*/int/*) or when I try to access the API Doc for "Compatibility Application Type".  The projections in question have been included in Compatibility Application Type through the API Explorer.The user has permission to access the projections and I can use the projections through Aurena just fine (the */main/* links). We are using IFS Apps 10 update 8.Our setup uses Active Directory through a ADFS server for user authentication.   What we have tried so far:Tried using the IFS (db) user directly for authentication (Basic auth). This returns 401. As I understand this should work out-of-the-box right?   Tried setting up "Active Directory Authenticator" for "INTEGRATIONS & COMPATIBILITY" using this guide: https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/Foundation1/040_administration/210_security/015_authentication/050_configure_compatibility/. After applying  21R2 (21.2.1)  we cannot execute any report. Get error ‘Database Error occurred” Is this a known issue? How can I fix this?

We use LDAP for user authentication against Active Directory. We've found that when a user's password contains a space or a period, IFS won't let them log in, even when their password is correct.1. What is the full list of characters that aren't allowed?2. Is there a way to configure this to work?

Hello, I have a custom field on the “Mixed Payment” logical unit.I have an event that triggers when a mixed payment is changed. What would be the best practise to edit a custom field tied to this same mixed payment that is being changed ?From what I could find, I can update the custom field via the MIXED_PAYMENT_CFP package calling the mixed_payment_cfp.cf_modify__ method.However, I need to provide the OBJID field of the mixed payment, which isn’t available part of the event attributes. As a work around, I am getting the OBJID with a cursor and passing it to the modify which then caused mutating table errors.I went around it using the instruction “PRAGMA AUTONOMOUS_TRANSACTION” but I was wondering if there was a better way? I am on apps9.

Experimenting with Powerapps… and IFS Actions, for example a status change.We have seen the “error while de-serializing contents” issue in many threads, and the answer is that we have to submit an empty JSON body like {}.  I’m just not seeing how to do this in Powerapps. This example works for the Lead/SetParked action, which does take a body: But the Lead/SetUnqualified action does not take a body.If i do something like this, Powerapps does not submit a body and so we get the error while deserializing contents issue. There must be some syntax in Powerapps that allows us to specify that an empty body {} should be submitted.  Any ideas how we do that?

Morning everyone!I’m part of a company that’s currently in-process developing our IFS solution, and as the data admin I’ve run into a particular problem that I’m hoping someone might be able to advise me on.  As part of workshops we’ve been told by the IFS consultants that we should be using the logical unit IDs as a functional part of the workflow processes.  For example, a part number could be used as a reference across multiple parts of the business, having to do with inventory, shipping, R&D, etc… As the data admin, I’m a little concerned about this.  I’d like to list a few things I’ve noticed during this process that led me to my concern.  Please correct me if I’m wrong, because these are only my current understandings, and I could be mistaken! 1 - The IDs for at least some objects can’t be (or shouldn’t be) defaulted.  Using Parts as an example, a user would be asked to enter the part number they wish to use when creating the master part record.  There’s no way to inject a de

I need to add a Custom Menu to change the state. In Custom Menu there is a Action Type called State Machine and can this be used and if so how to? In IFS documentation this part is not  described properly.  

Is there a way to make the height of an Element smaller than “1”? Right now the Size options are limited to a height of “1” or “2” (ex: 4 x 1; 2 x 2). We want to display a single line of text and do not need the Element size to be so large. Suggestions are appreciated.

Hi, In IFS Application 10 Enterprise Explore, an information message “ Operation was performed successfully’” is raised upon executing custom-defined menu actions successfully.Users have to set the “Do Not show this again” checkbox for each and every menu action separately to prevent occurring it again and again.Is there a way to stop showing this information message in system level so that users do not have to manually set this for all custom menu actions?Thank you.

Application server is creating huge logs. The admin server is recording the following error -”PINGDATABASE" set up for pool "fndbas_admin" failed with exception: "pingDatabase returns not OK” becuase of which mainserver logs are increasing at a very high rate. It generated 9G log file today. Does anyone know what could be the problem and how it can be fixed?

Hello,I know Google Chrome is the fully supported and recommended browser for Apps 10 Aurena right now. I’m wondering about support for other browsers, specifically Edge in the future. Edge is adding significant functionality and for companies using the MS stack of applications, there can be significant integration advantages to using it. I’ve been told to this point to NOT use Edge, but will that always be the case?Thanks,Warren

How to find out what is the Logical Unit of users table?  I am trying to create an event to send an email every time the user is changed.When accessing the user and opened the “System Info” it come out blank. Is there a way to create this custom event on IFS? Or is it needed to be done into the database? Thank you in advance.

I cannot get a 3of9 barcode font to print from our Apps10 Test environment. We copied a Crystal report from our Production environment to our Test Env. We also copied the 3of9 barcode font from our Production environment to our Test Env. We use Windows Server 2019.Has anyone seen this issue before?  

Hi,Is there a way to add a custom menu option to view Checked In documents straight from the Document Title window. Below screenshot button function is what required, I need above view button as a custom menu on Document Title window. Is that possible? However, for your information, I've tried many ways to add the custom field but ended up with errors. Checked In documents checking in directly to the FTP repository location, maybe that is why unable to call it through the custom menu? Even with the debugger I was not able to catch the corresponding client calls for the scenario, does this handle only from the framework. or has anyone come across a similar scenario with a solution? Appreciate any input on this. ThanksNimesh

Hi - Has anyone integrated IFS Apps 9 (or any other version) with Joblogic?A request has been made to look into it. Initially one way (so could be done via SFTP) but eventually as two way API-level exchange.I suspect IFS Cloud would integrate well - but as it has a better Mobile Work Order solution would be a moot point in any case.

I have my PM users connected to a PM profile and a limited license. The PM users also have their personal profiles enabled, why is it that when I make a change to the PM profile the change does not reflect the user?   With full license users I don't run into this problem.
