Hi,We are currently on Apps 8 in the UK and reviewing our options when it comes to scanning of supplier invoices Automatically into IFS including the capture of data on the invoice to improve data entry accuracy and make process more efficient.Has anyone else implemented such a solution and if so, are you able to provide recommendations.Thanks in advanceShaun

I am about to build a balance sheet in Report Generator. I would like to create three columns; Opening balance (for period) Closing balance (for period) Closing balance (last year period)How do I create this, choosing which column type? If I choose a “Data column” I am able to choose do a period selection but I don’t know if it is the right way to go. And if it is the right way, how do I create the different periods? Thanks in advance!

We have created an event that will email the customer statement of account when a report has been run.I have concerns about the number of messages that will be generated and sent when this is run.Has anyone used a bulk mailer system process these messages? The next question is how to export the individual messages so they  can be transferred to the mailer service.  

I found the below regarding ‘describe input’ via the external file assist.  The ‘next’ button is not enabled when I attempt (even logged in as ifsapp).   Does anyone have details that may help? 

We are rolling out IFS 10 in a German subisdiary and they a highly automated payment flow.As per discussion, I am facing the same challenge. ISO and SEPA adds IFS Payment order reference in the EndToEndID tag but how do we verify that IFS can match that order / or order’s items by using the MT940DE fileformat ?We have tried to replicate their current MT940 returnfile with IFS Payment Order ID  but this is not recognized - yet.What we are looking for is a way to know for sure that the items in the Paymnet Order can be acknowledged/paid by means of loading the MT940 bank statment into External Payments interface. The prepared references seems not to recogninse the EndToEndID tag value. Is there a particular set

Is there any documentation on best practices for Posting Controls setup? We’re looking to have a better process for setting up posting controls when a new company is setup. Is there an easy way to copy them over from another company in mass? How do others handle this? Adding them on the fly as accounting runs into errors is not working. Surely there is a better/easier way?

When processing a customer Direct Debit run, the posting is going to incorrect GL code meaning we have to journal the value each month. Where can we change this posting so that they are posted to correct GL code?

Hi   What are the limitation in Apps 7.5 when compared to Apps 10 in handling MT940 bank statements in External Payments? I have just checked and saw that only a MT940 format to handle Customer Payments are available in Apps 7.5? Does it mean that it not possible to handle MT940 with all types of transactions - Mixed Payments (Payment Orders, Customer Payments etc)

When trying to set in the company tab invoice - general the “Same No Preliminary and Final Supplier Invoice” checkbox, I got this error message:„There is voucher type J with automatic allotment set. Uncheck the „Same No Preliminary and Final Supplier Invoice“ fieldI was able to find the automatic alloment setting in Function Group Analysis, but this can not be changed.Can anyone help me to fix this?Thank you for your reply! Looking at process for non-PO invoices and the instant authorization approval Is there anyway to have specific suppliers set up with default acknowledger/authorizer or does this have to be entered each time you register an invoice?

When loading customer invoices from a file Apps10 UD8 getting an error below.I have the customer set with a payment method with no payment addressInvoice Type = EXTINV, Invoice Series = EX (no series ID as the invoice number is set in the file)I never had issues in the past so maybe I’m missing a new setting somewherethanks in advance!  

Does anyone know why I am getting the following error message when I try to export my Quick Report to Excel?Excel Plugin Error: ORA-06550: line 1, column 43:PL/SQL: ORA-01031: insufficient privilegesThe Quick Report runs fine in IFS and, once run, I can output the results to excel, but I can not simply  do the report function “Export to Excel”.  The report is written against a materialized view in IFS.  I can see the view in IFS SQL Query Tool and can preform searches on the view.The report is written using the following SQL statement:select * from c_pol_gl_sales_cogs_union_mvI have tried using &AO., IFSINFO., prefixes to view name with no luck.

Hi, We have non inventory sales part invoice in ‘Printed’ status and when I checked customer invoice posting analysis it is showing me an error for non inventory sales part “Value is missing or has an invalid time interval for posting type M30 control type C49 code part B in company ABCD”  How can  I resolve this error ?
