Field Service Management (FSM) & Planning and Scheduling Optimization (PSO)

There is a textbox ‘Color’ to specify a color for days in a Work Calendar as below. As this is not a dropdown field, we need to manually enter the name of the color into this textbox. Is there any color guide or documentation on what valid values can be added to here?

Hi All,Schedule board has the functionality to drag and drop tasks within the schedule and from the Overdue section at the bottom.However, in the latest versions of Chrome (106.0.5249.103 (Official Build) (64-bit)) and Edge (106.0.1370.34 (Official build) (64-bit)), when trying to drag tasks from the overdue section almost the entire screen goes white and stays the same until the webpage is refreshed.Has anyone else experienced this?So far, the only workaround is to Chrome Version 107.0.5304.18 (Official Build) beta (64-bit). Regards,Dayan 

Hi community,From Cloud when i created a scheduling Employee emergency services to a resource, how can i send to PSO in the workbench an information that the resource is scheduled on this way?Could it be an activity private? A specific colour in the shift ? Other idea?Customer’s request is to be able to see in the workbench the scheduling of the Employee emergency services.Thank you for your ideas

We are currently using other Realtime scheduler for scheduling task and crew management. I have gone through IFS FSM and PSO and it seems to be suitable for our business purpose. It does have all the functionalities which we need, there is only one point which I want know i.e integration with other application. Can anyone please give a brief about how can we integrate PSO with third party application. When I say integration that means Do PSO provides seeded APIs for fetching resource, crew, task related data ? Do we have an API to create a task in PSO from client application. If anyone can help or advice, it is highly appreciated. 

When we are uploading any attachment in the smart client the the attachment size is visible in the task screen attachment tab but the same when uploaded from mobile is not visible in that particular tab .

Hi,I would like to confirm the OOTB behavior of FSM regarding the below situation:If we create a time_commit (during the get appointments functionality for example), the plan start of the task is updated with the start of the time commit and all of this is sent to PSO.However, if we change the start of an existing time commit, this information is sent to PSO. The SLA of the task in PSO is updated but the plan start of the task isn't updated.Could you please explain/ confirm why the behavior is different between insert and update?

Does anyone know if there is a table similar to metrix_method or metrix_method_param in FSM6 that retains the details of the successfully completed jobs?  I am looking for the selection criteria for a particular run_id (mm_id).Thanks,Richard Spence

Hello,I am currently working on a FSM/PSO solution where the tasks creation is done by backend systems and sent to FSM via API. FSM/PSO is only responsible for task assignment, scheduling and task status updates to the backends.The problem is to do with two scenarios and their relation:-Multi-day tasks: tasks with a duration longer than a technicians shift, taking more than 1 day. For example, a multi-day task with a duration of 20 hours is gonna be split into tasks (5 in this case) of duration of maximum 4 hours before being sent to PSO.-Interrupted tasks: when a technician puts a task "ON HOLD", a copy of the task is created to get reassigned. It can get reassigned to the same technician. This interruption comes from the legacy mobile app.The work order id's in the back-end systems have a 1-to-1 relation to the task id's in FSM. What is the best approach to ensure the task status for a given work order is correctly updated in the back end system? Longshot i know….what is the likelyhood of a workflow in FSM Mobile picking up the incorrect Task ID from a getCurrentKeys("task", "task_id"); call? We had Task notes appearing on the incorrect Task (a Task that had been completed a week earlier)

                                         Complex Element Type in Custom MPM CASE HISTORY: Use of User defined Datatype in Custom MPM Using COMPLEX Element Type. Need to use user defined Datatype (as parameter datatype or return type) in Custom MPM using Complex Element Type, so as to represent similar set of data or list of data as response. We created a user defined Model Object to include objects of user-defined datatype. Instead of using the REST API for message_name C_UPDATE_STATUS, it is using randomly some other message REST API. Hi,  A customer is having an issue where when using the BING maps service for FSM, a postcode is being entered which is correct but BING is providing an incorrect Lat/Long. When you do not post a postcode but just the number and street name, the BING service comes back with the correst postcode (same as manually entered) and the correct Lat/long position.  Is this something which has been experienced before and would this have to be cleared with Microsoft or can we change a setting in FSM to help with this? The customer brings in the postcodes from an external source so it will be hard to remove the postcodes. Customer is also on FSM6 UPD9. Thank you

We are unable to run reconfiguration for Mobility getting invalid username or password error.The same credentials are working fine in smart client.

Hi Experts,I have setup a new PSO application, but the gateway authentication is not working. Even if I provide gateway authentication url, it is taking me to Azure SSO Page. Can you guys please suggest a solution to not allow Azure authentication when gateway url is used? (/IFSPSOWorkbench/Default/login?authGateway=true)

On smart-client the Confirm dialogue-box default the ‘Enter’ key-press to the “Ok”, as opposed to the web-client, which defaults the ‘Enter’ key-press to the “Cancel”.Is there any way to fix this discrepancy either in the script or a configurable item?vs. 

I have a survey that is used as a Dynamic Risk Assessment when the Tech arrives on site. The DRA is completed upon arrival and saved. The tech will carry out the work and capture their notes etc. on the tablet.  Our problem is that they may then need to another part of the building to work. Although there were no issues recorded on arrival, something may be identified when moving on to the new location.  We don’t seem to be able to go back and edit the DRA Survey as it was saved. Is this because the last set of questions in the Survey was marked as End of Survey? How can we allow the tech to amend a Survey in such a situation?This is on Android FSM6u16 Mobile.Thank you..Angelo

Hi All, I’m struggeling to create a list via a Mobile Client Script.I succesfully recieve a Object with data via getDBValues, but I only need one item from that object. So I created a for loop, to go trough the object and store the value in a String, Array or Object (doesn’t matter). Creating a new Array or a Object seems not to work for mobile Als simply extending a var via the += method also not working.Example:var data = getDBValues(stringFormat("SELECT id FROM database_table WHERE type = 'placeholder'"));var arr = new Array();var list = ‘’;for(var i=0; i < data.length; i++) {       arr.push(data[i]['ID']);   list+= data[i]['ID'];} 

Hi All This is regarding a case Here customer has reported that Ignore skills functionality on the assign lookup not working as expected When I doing the investigations I noticed there is no connection between skills mentioned in task and assign button lookup SoAre there any connection /relation between skills in task screen and assign button look up shown below ?what is the purpose of Skills in task screen ?  What is purpose of ignore skills checkbox in assign button lookup because I see no difference by tick and untick that ?Thanks and Regards Shobana
