Field Service Management (FSM) & Planning and Scheduling Optimization (PSO)

Hi Community,  We are exploring the Appointment Booking functionality and we understood that we can configure App Templates as blocking or non blocking.  If the App template is blocking, it will block the provided slots until the external system confirm one available slot or reject the app slots request. This will also reduce the overbooking scenario.  If the App template is non blocking, it will not block the provided slots until the external system confirm one available slot and it is not required the rejection call to release the slots. However, this will increase the overbooking scenario or the repeat calls to get slots since the system could reply saying that the slot is no longer available.  Could you please confirm our understanding? And please share with us if you got any pain point regarding the usability of this configuration?    Thank you, Best Regards, Joana Machado

Hi,I’ve tried to find a way how to add an existing PM Action to a PM Program?The PM Action / Prepare Tab / PM Program Info seems to be read only and thus suggesting this is not possible in Apps10.Does anyone know a way to connect existing PM Actions to PM Programs? Perhaps further versions will have this option?Any help greatly appreciated​​​​​​

Good day PSO was set up with a few different datasets. All necessary sections were setup under theses datasets (rules, resources, rotas, scheduling templates etc.). Suddenly, all scheduling datasets have changed to “Expired” status for no reason that I can see. Normally I would be able to change an Expired dataset back to active, but in this case cannot change anything. Any idea how to address this issue, before the expired datasets get removed by PSO for being inactive?

Hi Team, The CFSM template contains a Visual Studio solution file called “cfsm.sln”. This includes Server Customization, Client Customization, Custom Mobile Extensions, etc. Does cfsm.sln comes with IFS installer setup? I mean once you install IFS will we be able to access “cfsm.sln” for MPM creation? In case it is not included in the IFS installer, then where can we find it? Regards,AJAY

Is it possible to specify multiple names of task resources in the mail message that is generated when sending from FSM? Of course a task can have several resources linked to it. Should it be sufficient to simply specify {{task_resource.resource_name}} to display all resources? Or is a 1:n relationship in the notification messages not possible?

I have created a “Links Element” Lobby Tile in FSM6u10 and would like the link to open Internet Explorer with a URL to an online Cognos Report. The URL I am using in the Custom URL is:-"C:\Program Files\internet explorer\iexplore.exe" http://XXXXXX:81/Reports/B1_Report_Outputs/GTS/CustomerServices/Service%20Centre/BI_GTS_0014_Thales%20Service%20Centre%20Comms%20Cell%20Outstanding-en-gb.mht The above URL works fine in CMD Prompt and opens the required report in IE with no problem at all. If I try this in FSM I get : However if I take out the path to the URL and only include: "C:\Program Files\internet explorer\iexplore.exe" as the Custom URL FSM opens up IE but only to the Home Page. Why am I not able to pass the parameter URL to IE as part of the Custom URL? I hope someone can help me?.. :-)

HI All,Good Day.!I’m facing updating custom alias table, here’s my scenario kindly review and please suggest any solutions for the same.Working Scenario:Created Alias table for Part Need as part_need_alias, and configured the same in Task screen with different filter conditions. In this I can able to save/ update / Delete Records in alias. Issue scenarioCreated Alias table for custom table (tech_refer) which is not in FSM Metadata as tech_refer_alias, and configured the same in task screen with different condition, in this value is populating but I can’t able to update the record and getting the below issue as table or view not found, kindly advice on the same. Tried the same from XML Poster also getting the same issue. Error : The database command failed and reported the following error: ORA-00942: table or view does not existkindly please let me know is there any other configurations we need to make while creating the alias for custom table apart from the below one. Thanks in Advance

Hi there, Since upgrading from FSM5.7.2 to FSM6u10, when in the mobile app and selecting to add an attachment the application always defaults to the Root Directory of the device.  If the engineer has an organised file structure when attachments are kept they are always forced to navigate through several folders to get to the location. When needing to attach multiple files the app defaults back to the Root  folder of the device.  This makes it time consuming, tedious and increases the risk of files being missed. Is it possible for the Mobile App to remember the location of the last attached file so that each time the add file attachment is selected for it to open in the last folder and not the Root each time? This was not a problem under 5.7.2 Mobile app. but a change since upgrading to FSM6u10. Thank you.

Is it possible to install both FSM and PSO along with the integration and the DB in the same server for a sandbox environment?
