Dear community,is it really standard, that the status of a completed Work Assignment doesn’t change the Work Task status to “Work Done” anymore? I see that behaviour on the 21R2 ifscloudr2bnt-lkp.rnd.ifsdevworld.com environment.From an organicational point of view, that is not good, since I would check for Work Tasks in state “Work Done” to proceed in the process. Or do we expect the backoffice to check on Work Assignments in IFS Cloud 21R2? T&RDADUDE

If working with PM structure, there will be some strange issues.In this test scenario I have two PM actions with same Event but with different Interval.The PM action 'x' should be generated all the time when trigger the ‘Event generation’ job.PM action 'y' should be included in the structure every third time the ‘Event generation’ job are triggered.But when trying to connect PM action 'x' and 'y' together the PM action 'y' will be updated with the same interval that exits on PM action 'x'.- Yes, the warning message will tell me that (see screen shot 5 in attached document)Attached document include test scenarios from our customer build place and can also be recreated in customer use place environment.I don’t think that is okay, because we want them to be connected to each other in structure every third time, not every time.I hope I can attached a document after this is saved. where I have a step by step instruction. 

HIIf we have sold a manufactured part with a large serialized structure, but didn’t create the Serial Objects as part of the process (“Create SM Object” not set on CO line) – what is then the easiest way to create the full serial object structure for that part afterwards?I know objects can be created manually using “Serial Object” window or using the “Make Maintenance Aware” window, but both creates only one object at a time and not the underlying structure.BR Kristian

When Apps 10 came out there was a disconnect from purchasing in Work Order for non-inventory parts. Case G1981255 was filed at the time. It seems that this is still a problem. The Non-Inventory purchase that is extremely common in Service Work Orders for subcontracting is still not hitting WIP or COGS. I see that it hits M93 and then TP3 it never converts. Is there a plan to fix this? We also lost the ability to capture the cost at receipt which is also a huge problem in the Service industry, as we need to bill the customer as quickly as possible and not have to wait until the invoice is put through.

Hello - We are on IFS10 UPD13.  We are receiving the below error message when trying to move a serial object to a different belongs to object ID.  Is there a restriction where a serial object can not be moved if it is being used?  The error does seem to be misleading.  We have closed all work orders, work tasks and PM actions and are still unable to move the serial object.  Has anyone else come across this issue?Thanks   

Hi everyone, in Apps10 EE I'd like to know if it's possible to cancel a WO even if a PO linked to it has already been received in inventory and closed. I'd add that I've tried to unreserve all in inventory but nothing better. Now I have no reserved parts for this WO, a closed PO but when I try to cancel it, the system pops up an error message telling that I cannot cancel a work task becasue a PO exists on it. However, this last one is closed... Does it mean that we're not allowed to cancel a WO after receiving parts from a PO on it?Thanks

Hi All,When we have a location that is connected to the customer address it must be a visit address for service to use the address on work orders. When we create a new service request using this functional object that has that location ID. Service request starts off with no address on it. If the party type ‘location’ is connected, address will be fetched correctly. This makes using the customer address connection completely useless on creating service requests. Does anyone know the reason behind this behavior?  Thanks & Best Regards,Nipun

We want to give commission to our customer depend on yearly sales. Is it possible by using "commission windows"? how can we handle commission receiver & where we get invoice on this commission in system ? 

Why are my zero dollar time transactions not transferring on work tasks. 

Community, Wondering how IFS calculate the Warranty. for example, a purchased product, we received into stock on Jan.1, 2021, it come with 3 years warranty from supplier. it sits in inventory for 3 month, and we delivered to customer on Apr.1, 2021. We also guarantee customer 3 year warranty.now comes the question, when the product delivered to customer, IFS created the object, how IFS calculate the warranty  for this object that delivered to customer, is it 3 years or (3 year -  3 month)? my best guess is 3 years, counting from the date we delivered to the customer.Kindly advise. Thank you.

We are currently on APP8 moving to APP 10. I have found how to apply a warranty to a serial object with a original sale but cannot find how to add an extended warranty when purchased after the original sale. Can you help? Also will this work the same in APP 8 & APP 10 enterprise

Hello all,is it wise to configure IFS Cloud GIS Connections with Map Positions? Somehow I can’t make the connection between a GIS Object and a Map Position in the GIS Connections page.  As I understand the solution Map Positions are a different data set than GIS Connections or am I mistaken? Background is the administration of data in IFS Cloud, where Assets get a Map Position and now a GIS Connection to use the GIS functionality, as I understand the solution at the moment. Please advice or explain the possibility background for Map Positions to GIS Connections. T&RDADUDE

Hello,We are trying to invoice a work order that is connected to a service quotation. We want Invoice Zero Amounts to be set to Yes but forgot to add the Invoice Rule to the Service Quotation.  The work order is complete and the status = Finished.We are using Apps 10 and have UPD11 installed now but the Service Quotation and Work Order were created and connected with UPD9.  There was a patch in UPD10 (Bug ID 155082) but it either doesn’t resolve this issue for existing SQ/WO or our scenario is slightly different.Does anyone know if there is something we can change so that the invoice preview will be created with Invoice Zero Amounts = Yes? Thank you,Joann  

Once a Serial Object is created and its status is changed, its prevented from getting deleted due to having a historical row. Is there a particular functional reason for preventing the deletion of serial objects when it has more than one historical record? It can be deleted if its status has not been changed.

Hi, I am having trouble changing hours registered on a work task, from “to be invoiced” to “not to be invoiced”.  The option is missing.How can I solve this ? I can not close the work task since the hours has not been invoiced.

Hi, We have tried selling an object on the system and the transactions have defaulted to the FAP0 posting control for the reversal of the acquisition value and the accumulated depreciation, we would like to re-route these transactions to disposal accounts however we cannot change FAP0 as it is a default account.Is it possible to change the settings so the system used actual posting controls that can be connected to the correct accounts?  Thanks, Georgina 

In Apps 10 update 13 it was noticed that the RMB gives you the option to Apply to All Instances. We have looked throughout the system when we click on this option and do not see any changes anywhere. What does this do? 

Hi all, my maintenance team wants to add a lot of technical specification on Serial object, technical data screen. Since this requires a lot of typing, they asked if we could migrate this. The view name where this needs to be migrated is TECHNICAL_SPEC_NUMERIC however, in migration job I do not see how this is connected to Serial object ID, or technical object reference (basically missing how to ensure migration imports data to right serial object). Does anyone have experience with this kind of migration and how to complete it?

Hi All,Users are not able to create a Customer Order from the Work Order RMB option  The Customer Order is typically used to send free warranty replacement parts to the Customer. See a sample work order in the screenshot , the customer handling option (RMB) is not available. Customer is connected to the WO but the option is not available.
