GM everyone, Hope I’m doing this correctly, first time in the webpage. Hello my name is Marco Pineda with Apex Clean Energy. Apex has joined the IFS bandwagon, and just went through the protoyping of our business. During this process we ran into a question that IFS is not willing to place a recommendation on.  Our final solution system will be working through Cloud. My questions is regarding barcoding printers specifically. Does anyone have any recommendations on printers that can work directly with the IFS barcode generating software and IFS Scan It application?The products that will be receiving these barcodes will be placed into harsh environments so would have to print something durable and long lasting.  Any comments regarding this product? ZT400 Series Industrial Printers Specification Sheet | Zebra Thanks in advance for you help and support. 

We have a situation where we use condition-based PM actions to generate WOs for objects based on run hours.   For example, let’s say the condition is set up as below. So, the maintenance plan is predicted and generated as below.  All good.  Practically, these objects are not getting serviced when the exact value reached.  So, the actual value or run hours on the work task performed date can be lower or higher. Let’s assume that we perform the maintenance at 175 hours.  So ideally the next WO generation should happen 375 hours.  But the system waits till 400 hours for automatic generation.   We can track the actual performed value using generated value and last value fields, but the automatic generation does not consider the actual performed value. No changed to the planned value. Is there any option in IFS to have this catered?  

Hi All,The Change Net Value Option provided by IFS enables the Net Book Value to be modified in the event that the asset's useful life or salvage value changes after the initial acquisition.  In this instance, the user should manually calculate and enter the Net Value for the retrospective transactions. If the life or salvage value changes after the acquisition, is there another way we can automatically calculate the carrying value rather than Change Net Value option? Hey guys,Is it possible to “freeze” the editing of Object Description field for functional objects just like the serial objects?   

Noticed that new functional objects and serial objects do not inherit cost part from parent object. Does anybody have any experience with this (is it i bug, is it something that needs coding, settings etc.)? 

I am looking at linear assets in apps 10 and am wondering if there is something special that needs to be done to do geo coding?     Specifically, my company services railway tracks, and we have very detailed track information that would be very useful for Feild Service Reps, but geo codes are a key element.

Our team is looking for the simplest way to return used components from the service field into inventory. We are aware of the work order function but we are not currently using IFS for our field service. However I would like to use the return to stock function and I would like to create a custom page with only this feature. Can anyone help how to work through this in detail? I am aware of the custom projections and page configurations in Aurena and the documentation instructions but I have not been able to figure it out. thanks.

Hi, Is it possible to filter work tasks if they have a  connected purchase order?That would make it easier to close several wosktasks at the same time.

Env : Cloud 22R1 UPD 19In Mobile Work Order if we select Additional Work and Copy the Work Task and Finish, In Cloud, Contract ID is not copied, Original Work Task has Service Contract. Any Solution for this issue ? 

The Machine name (description) is not populating on our printed Work Tasks for just 1 of our 40+ sites. Has anyone experienced this? Is there a setting we are missing somewhere? Any suggestion on how fix it? We are on version: IFS Aurena framework version: 22.2.3.20221205095548.0IFS Aurena client version: 22.2.3.20221205095548.0IFS OData provider version: 22.2.3.20221201113807.0

Hi,We have work order media attachments (pictures), which we want to print. In Apps10 Aurena we do not see an option to directly print these. If I open the attachment, right click and print from the page, the preview comes with “DO NOT PRINT THIS! Use reporting instead”. Is there a way to directly print these media attachments through Aurena?

One of my customers needs several measuring points at the service objects, or several parameters per measuring point. This concerns only serial objects. And since the serial parts are manufactured for the objects themselves, the question arises whether I can already specify in the design of the part that the following parameters are later attached to the object. Does anyone have experience with this? Customer is using Apps 10

Hello, I am looking for some guidance on the Direct Issue of material to a Work Order in IFS Aurena UPD 15. Currently, I have planned material on a Work Task, and I assumed I could then directly issue it from the Work Details → Material screen. However, when I select Direct Issue, the wizard is blank and requires that I enter the PN, Location, and Qty. With the record selected, it does not populate any of the data. I am not understanding this system behavior, as this would require a significant amount of work if you had to issue multiple spare part PNs to a Work Task. Is this not the correct location to properly issue material to a Work Order. In IEE this could simply be done from the My Work Materials screen. 

Is it possible to reserve the materials/parts from the Task Material screen?See below, you can issue, but not reserve… I’ve used another screen to reserve the part so you cansee the option to “Unreserve” but not Reserve.  

Question is where we have a Serial Object which is rented out to an internal customer - which is another site in IFS, and is therefore a Company Rental Asset. This asset needs to be placed in a Structure. It is in Inventory in the ‘other’ site havening been delivered. I went to create a WO with a Material Requisition to issue the part and then place in structure - but I cannot select Company Rental Asset as the ownership of the part, and therefore I cannot issue it. Whilst it remains in Inventory I cannot have it operational on a structure. Any thoughts appreciated? Cloud 21R2 - or Cloud 22R2 if there is a better solution.

Is there a data field that reflects that a work task is on hold? How do I go about getting a listing of all tasks on hold?Thanks

Hi Experts, We have received an enhancement request related to FSM authentication. Our customer's user base includes both employees and external vendors who need to access the FSM application. Consequently, our customer requires different authentication methods for these user groups. For instance, they need to use Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication for their employees while preventing them from using basic authentication to access the FSM application. On the other hand, subcontractors should retain the ability to use basic authentication for accessing the FSM application. At present, our FSM application lacks the configuration options necessary to accommodate these specific authentication scenarios.
