Site & org maint requirement on resource detail page

Hi all!We are using the maintenance engineer portal to create maintenance tasks.Do you know when do I need to provide information on those fields on resource detail page?Is there a link between this field and the LoV of resources groupe. The resource group LoV is not rising up when the field (Site & Org main) is not filled.Thank you

Why Category objects are not included in PM actions?

Hi,I would like to know the real business reason of why Category objects are not included in PM actions.For example, let’s assume I have a Solar farm and I need to Group all panels by adding this as a Category object so all solar panels can be inspected other than defining separately each.Then I add this category object on a Service Contract but here I could not create a PM action so that I cannot create regular work orders activities for this objects? Instead we can include a category objects in a work order though its not possible in a PM then we need to add Contract details each time in work orders which is not feasible?I understand that this is possible if the Solar farm is defined as a functional object setting the relevant object level. Then please explain how exactly we can use this function with some actual business function? Best Regards,Kasun

Replacements by PM Actions

Hi, We’re trying to understand how the replacements by PM actions works. Is there any good documentation on it? Couldn’t find it. We’re wondering if it will still work if the PMs that would be replaced are on different dates. Do you need to ensure that if PM_1_Yearly is replaced by PM_2_Yearly, will it do that if PM_1 and PM_2 have different dates? Thanks

New tab/section on Maintenance Order for document reference information

It would be nice to have the ability to choose to define a maintenance document reference, revision number and revision date on the maintenance order that would then be spread to the work tasks. This would allow the engineering or planning groups to define what the current revision of their reference document is when creating and starting the maintenance work. Keeping that information on each work task will then allow the technicians that perform the work to know at a glance which specific documents and revisions they should be following to complete the work. Technicians would also need the ability to modify these reference fields in case of a mismatch or error.

Search field in a wizard not lasting till next time in Apps 9

Hello,Has anyone faced the issue in apps 9, the search field in a wizard not lasting till next time, it always gives a new search wizard, without the previous memory? This is not common for all the users but this is not user friendly for a planner that he has to enter the data every time he comes from a different page where else the standard functionality would allow you to see the searches from the previous day as well.Any suggestions or feedbacks?

Discount order lines double

We have found an issue when we create a Customer Order that originates from a Business Opportunity.When we change the quantity, it will add another line of discount and doubling it. Business Opportunity created for 2 units and converted into a Customer Order: Changed quantity to 3 units and get this pop up (the first 25% discount comes in automatic from the Customer Agreement?): Now line level shows 50% discount instead of the 25% mentioned in the agreement: When I right mouse on the line and go to Order Line Discount, I can see 2 lines now - 1 for agreement and 1 for manual? Doesn’t matter if we add and deduct the quantity, an additional line will be added? Is this a bug or a setup issue in the Customer Agreement? Thanks,Michael

Suggestions - Client wants visibility to assets that are in service - globally

Hi, IFS has multiple asset related tools. Looking for suggestions on the following. I can’t get into details else you will know the client. Client has a vision for the future, where they have visibility to all assets, the content / configuration of all assets. Assets can be located globally. Assets would be owned by the client as well as owned by other agencies. Number of assets would be large, probably several hundreds of thousands. Vision is the ability to know the configuration of an asset before a service technician steps on site for a repair or enhancement. Part of the business is managing these assets in terms of service, upgrades, repairs. Knowing the configuration of all these assets would be very helpful for increasing up time (consider most assets as critical to the safety operation). Suggestions would be very helpful, I have my ideas, but that’s just based on what I already know. This will be for a future effort, so this would include IFS Cloud version / not limited t

PM Action for a Service Contract line with scope LOCATION

I have a Service Contract with a service line that has a Location as the scope.This location is connected to the customer of the service contract.Location has multiple Serial Objects connected to it.When I create a PM action connected to this Service Line, I can select any of the serial objects connected to my location.But I cannot generate any Work Order from this PM Action. I get this error in PM Action/Maintenance Plan/WO Generation Error note column.ORA-20110: PmAction.NOTASKGEN: No Service Contract found, Work Task not GeneratedLooks like the PM generation process does not find serial objects connected the location.Am I missing something in my data setting or is this a functional limitation?Thank you.

Serial Object - Group ID or Object Type

Hi All, What is the difference between Group ID and Object Type on the Serial Object? Group ID allows us to group Serial Objects for classification - but Object Type seems to be doing the same thing and has additional technical advantages.So what is the added value of the Group ID? Additional question: can these filled be auto-completed on creation of the Serial Object based on their part? It seems foolish having to manually define these every time we create a Serial Object.
