Hi,

I hope someone can provide guidance on the following:

We are looking to streamline our PM actions and implement a form of  suppression to prevent work orders from being raised when the service year is not applicable. Specifically, we have equipment objects that require servicing at 1,3 and 5 -year intervals.

Our goal is to create a PM action that raises work orders according to these intervals, while ensuring following:

  • The 1 year PM action needs to raise a work order in year 1, 2 and 4 only
  • The 3 year PM action needs to raise a work order in year 3 only
  • The 5 year PM action needs to raise a work order in year 5 only

Is it possible to achieve this using standard IFS functionality, or would a CRIM be necessary?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Hi @DFSNYANDED , did you check the replacement functionality on the PM Actions?

In your exaple, 5 year PM Actio should replace both the 3 and 1 year PM Action

Then the 3 year should replace the 1 year PM Action

So it looks like this is standrad functionality:

Hi, you should be able to solve it with the “replaced by” function. The 1 year PM is replaced by the 3 and 5 year when they occur. You’ll find the replacement function on the PM. (It does not work if the PM actions are in a PM-structure though. I.e. the PM action are connected to another PM in a structure.)

Thank you @johan.orn & @EqeRobertK, we will give this a try

@EqeRobertK do the replacements have to be on the same day to be replaced or can they be on different dates within the same time period for which calendar generation is run. For example, I have 2 PMs pm 1 and pm 2. PM 1 is monthly on the 1st of the month and PM 2 is quarterly on the 5th of the month. if I set PM1 to be replacement by PM 1, and run calendar generation for a month date range, should I expect PM 2 to replace Pm 1 in the moth they both are going to be generated.
