We have instances where we need to change the inventory part number on a sales part after it has been saved and transactions are done. We cannot issue new sales part numbers every time we have new inventory parts because we have “printed” literature that shows our sales parts. So, we need the same sales part ID to remain, but connected to a different inventory part.In IFS applications 7, it was possible to change the Inventory part that was connected to a sales part in the “Sales Part” windowIn later versions, this possibility has been restricted, and the system was designed to maintain a one-to-many relationship between inventory parts and sales parts. Can you please specify the reason why this functionality was disabled after apps7? Can you suggest a workaround we can use in the above situation, instead of creating a new sales part?
Hi,We have a scenerio where Site A registers the customer order for an External Customer (Customer XYZ) and the order is supposed to delivered by Site B. The customer order lines are added with the supply code Int Purchase Dir where supplier and Supply Site is Site B and released. It created a PO for the supply Site. Now, in the Register Direct Delivery window RMB has 3 options 1) Direct Deliver to Customer 2)Direct Delivery with Serial 3) Direct Delivery from Internal Order Transit.Options 1 and 2 are disable in RMB menu, I can only choose option 3 which is “Direct Delivery from Internal Order Transit”. When I click on this option, Its giving a warning message “You cannot register direct delivery until internal supplier delivers materials. When we check register arrivals using the PO number, it does not have such record. How to complete the customer order delivery process?
Is it possible to receive multiple serial numbers of a part within wadaco. Our supplier can provide an QR code containing multiple serialnumbers. Is it possible to handle such a QR code within the wadaco receive proces?
Hi All,I need some assistance in understanding the logic behind fetching data for the "Transaction Based Invoice Consideration Parts" section in the RNYI report.
Apps10 UPD 16Customer is currently using Int Purch Trans and the Available Qty is showing the total inventory in the order taking site and the internal supply site.Is the Available Qty field on a Customer Order Line supposed to show: 1) only the inventory on the order taking Site, 2) only the inventory on the supplying Site, or 3) the inventory on all Sites? Does this value vary based on the Supply Code used?
Hello,Some POs / PO lines are more important then the others; they are crucial /necessary to be delivered on time for the project realization and for that reasons they need more attention in monitoring process. Is it possible to give them in IFS some kind of the high priority? to define them in IFS as very important by some icon or something similar?Regards,Kruthika
Hi All,I’m trying to process a Distribution Order and I am not sure why but I can not seem to get passed the “Stopped” status. When I try to Release the DO, it goes to “Stopped”. I receive no message as to why. Any thoughts or advice?
Recently we created a new Site and also set it up Master Scheduling as part of it. We are transitioning away from another site and wanted to essentially clone that site and use the cloned site to transition to. We already use master scheduling in other sites with no issues. But in the new site after entering a master schedule for a part and calculated the master schedule and MRP, we only get purchase requisitions instead of Distribution Orders between sites where we have setup an internal supplier and internal customer supply network (the new site is a DC and only purchases parts from other sites). We have checked the purchase part, supplier for purchase part, Inventory Part Planning Data, and the setup of the new site itself, and we still can’t get it to generate a DO instead of a purchase req. Are we missing a configuration/process step somewhere?
We just updated APPS10 from Update 10 to 22 and now see no MRP action proposals for our standard planned materials against our project demands for these materials. Anyone familiar with a change that may have caused this? No data in here after update 22, where our update 10 environment generates MRP action proposals for project demands after PMRP and MRP are run.
Hi everyone,How to classify a forecast part as Terminated? We have a forecast part with no transactions for several periods, but the part still shows as Intermittent. Can we define the number of periods with no transactions to classify a part as ‘Terminated’? Thank you
One of the NA customers in construction field is looking for a solution where they can set up supplier part pricing per supplier delivery locations. They simply get different list pricesdepending on the delivery sites of the Supplier even thought the parts are delivered to the same company plant (Company/Site) What would be the easiest way to handle it in IFS Cloud new versons?Appreciate your thoughts.
Hello community.I would like some help. We have a client who would like to control the capacity of a tank to store fuel. I didn't find anything on the IFSAPP10 - Warehouse Navigator/Capacities and Conditions screen that could inform, for example, that the Warehouse has the capacity to receive up to 200 L.Do we have any parameterization in IFSAPP10 to parameterize the capacity in liters? tks
We’ve recently discovered a challenge that when standard inventory is transferred to project inventory that the Latest Count date doesn’t get transferred to the new inventory part in stock record. We have a lot of movement of standard inventory into project inventory. The challenge is that it then uses the receipt date as the last counted date. In a lot of cases this puts the item back on the top of the list to cycle count. In our case this is causing a lot of unnecessary counting. It’s compounded if you have “Include Full Qty of Part In Location” selection. Is there anyway to get the new project IPIS record to include the Latest Count date? Below is an example of inventory that was moved from standard to project inventory. You can see the old latest count date on the first record and the new project inventory record is missing the count date.
Currently in the implementation process and were interested in using Kanban Circuits to replenish our production lines in two of our sites. After initial testing, it seems Kanban is not possible to be a separate module outside of our normal MRP replenishment (Planning method A with safety stock and standard lot size). Our hope was Site A would produce and purchase parts via MRP to store in the warehouse. Site A, via distribution order generated through MRP, would send said material to Site B to store in their warehouse. Both sites A and B have production lines to consume these parts. Current process, these parts are back flushed out of a generic “market” location which we are trying to get rid of. Kanban circuits seemed like an ideal way to restock these production lines. If it is the case that we cannot use Kanban and also generate reqs with MRP, is there another way to accommodate the resupply of the assembly lines?
The help documentation seems to suggest that a “Move With Shipment Order” activity should be available from pages ‘Inventory Parts in Stock’ and ‘Handling Units in Stock’, but in the application it doesn’t appear to be possible (nor hidden in page designer) like “Move with Transport Task” is. Please assist with what I may be missing, thanks! IFS Cloud Documentation - Move with Shipment OrderIFS Cloud Documentation - Change Inventory Location, Shipment Order @Fredrik Johansson LKP
In IFS Procurement in Apps10, where Min Qty based SFPP Price List Lines exist, there is an RMB option to select Consolidate Price Calculation on the PO header. So where the total quantity of a Part across multiple PO Lines reaches the next Min Quantity, IFS will enter/ this unit price across all lines (basing the price on the total quantity order of a Part on a PO, not the quantity at line level). Is there a similar facility on Sales Quotations and Customer Orders that achieves the same result, i.e. sets the sales price based on the total quantity of the part that exists on the same quote/order, but across multiple lines? I know Agreements and Sales Price List Lines can have different min quantities and prices for the same part, however surely there is a facility to base Customer pricing based on the consolidated quantity per Quote or Order ?
Is there a way to set the export control on a part so that a license is required, but only if the customer/enduser is in a certain country? All other countries do not require a license for export.
Hello, Can you explain to me how to use the backlog lines in the customer schedule please?Thank you.Lina
We use Demand Planner and have Purchased (raw) materials that we forecast/sell. I have setup the part in MS Level 1 and registered a forecast manually through the MS Level 1 Register Forecast. I ran MS - for the part and had expected to see something in the Purchase Requisition screen. I don’t see anything there and don’t see anything in the MS Action Proposals. Is there something special that I need to setup for this?
Hi Community,We are currently preparing for IFS cloud transition, and we are curious to know if the Inventory Negative On Hand functions differently in IFS Cloud application then it does in IFS Apps 10?Any input and comments will be deeply appreciated! Many thanks as alwaysMesh
Is it possible to add Custom Fields onto B2B portals? And not just to display information, but also allow the B2B licenced user to fill the field out. Here the question is specifically around Supplier and SubContractor B2B portals, but could apply for any B2B portal?
Hi all, I have a hierarchy (parent) with more than 200 customers (child). Instead of linking my assortment to the 500 customers, I would prefer to link it to the hierarchy. In this way, the (child) customers would inherit the parent's assortment.I should point out that I can't link it to the sales prices because the prices are linked to a daily quotation.Thank youSoumia
We would like to request the addition of a custom field in the "Reference" tab of Business Opportunities. The relevant view and entity details are as follows:View: BUSINESS_OPPORTUNITY_REF Entity: BusinessOpportunityRefUnfortunately, we are unable to locate the BusinessOpportunityRef entity in the entity configurations. Additionally, it does not appear in the additional views of the entity. Could anyone please assist in identifying the correct configuration or guide us on the next steps to add the custom field in the "Reference" tab? Is this can be implemented using standard features. Regards,Nikila Dissanayake
Hi all In the Shop orders operation menu, I have my selection of production orders for which I want to see the overall load.I select production orders by departmentIn my printout I have a global workload of 594h for W46 (including planned, requested etc etc production orders). When I remove the requested production orders, the graph falls back to 294h (this is normal). My problem is: I'd like to distinguish each load source in the graph (e.g. solid line for firm orders and dotted line for requested orders). How can I do this? I have this=> I want to do this to symbolise the load of the requisitioned shop orders
Could anyone with IFS Cloud please verify if the same is popping up as at my place (I've checked two environments that are not connected, both IFS24R1)I want to see only the rows that have factor = 1. The above is the result. Makes no sense to me at all. Does this happen in your environment as well.First time in my career 😁that I could use Advanced search option:This gave me the desired result.
