Hi all,

I am trying to calculate the part cost for an alternate different than ’*’.

I have set up a product structure with alternate ‘*’ and alternate ‘1’. For testing purposes, both alternates have the same components. Both alternates have the buildable status.

When I calculate the cost set 5 for alternate ‘*’, no problem is found, and the cost is correctly calculated.

When I try to calculate cost set 5 for alternate ‘1’, I get the message that ‘Manufacturing/Purchase Structure is not found’. In the message log i see that ‘No Buildable/Plannable Structure Revision Found’

The structure exists and is in buildable state.

Am I missing something? Is there anyone used to work with cost calculation for different alternates who has been through this issue before?

Regards

Hi Elio

Are you testing on IFS Cloud 23r2? Looks like we have a bug there. I don’t think it exists in previous versions…

You should report this as a support case.

Best Regards,

Mats

Hello @ElioJ, @majose,

I face the same issue in IFS Cloud 24r1, and 23r2.

When trying to launch the All Levels Part Cost Calculation for Structure alternate “*” and Routing alternate “1”, I get the following error message : Manufacturing/Purchase Structure is not found.

FYI one of my colleagues tested in a 23r1 environment and did not have the issue.

@ElioJ , have you solved the issue or opened a case ?

Regards,

Théophane

@majose, is this corrected in 24R2?

Hi Anders,

When I tested tonight it worked fine for me in 24R1, 24R2 and 25R1 (development track).

I got the error above when testing in 23R2.

However we have done a recent fix in most of the supported tracks that was related to run All Levels Cost Calculation for a HUGE number of parts at the same time. The customer project was using a load script and parts were calculated in parallel. So we fixed that.  Unfortunately I discovered that we run into a new error when running the All Levels Cost Calculation for new alternates <> ‘*’ 😞 However if you run All Levels Part Cost calculation for you <> ‘*’ alternates you can enable “run in background” and then it works :-) Of course we will fix this new bug just discovered Anders
