Service (Touch Apps, MWO, MRO)

We have a scenario where a Service Work Order was pushed to a Customer Order and Delivered to prepare for invoicing.  Upon doing this, the user noticed incorrect pricing.   Once a Customer Order tied to service is in the delivered status, what is the easiest way to update the Sell price?  Currently all we know to do is push the CO to invoicing and then create a credit/re-bill which is long and very difficult to do.  Any suggestions are greatly welcomed. 

I have a user who is getting some errors in mWo that I cannot replicate with me user.  They’re receiving the following error when trying to do a quick issue: Quick Issue ErrorSeems like MWO Service 10 is having difficulty pulling some default values.  He’s connected to a site, warehouse and assortment.  I have the same security and settings as him and I am able to do a quick issue on the same WO (different task) without issue. He’s also getting the below error when trying to create material demand from mwo Service 10: Material Demand ErrorNot sure why he’s getting this.  Any ideas?

Dear all,we are searching for a way to indicate more products in one task.Currently our structure looks as followsMultiple tasks can be be created below one request In one task only one product can be assigned → this is already done via configuration on the request screenGoal is to assign more products to one task. Background is that we are doing service on product lines, which can consist of multiple products. We typically don’t know which product is worked on first (technicians check the line on site). For the time being it would be sufficient to have one main product (assigned via the request to all tasks) and adding a list of additional products that need to be serviced on site. Naive question: Why not add via UI designer an additional tab in the task, establish the link  via child relations to products and further add a list, where the user can select products (as many as preferred). regards,Thomas

If I set up work task cost code condition with WIP reversal condition “Task Finished” and WIP ReversalDate “Event Date” can I somehow change apply date ?Quite often a task is finished in the beginning of the month but e.g. invoice concerns previous month and a voucher has to be posted in this period.Any help, please ?Marek

 We use a print agent. The service works when the console is running. When we start the service in the background - the print agent is not working. Has anyone had such a problem?

Hi All,When we create a context filtered by USER_ID (For an example, in the newly created context we change the label value from "Site" to "TSite"). Following are some of the questions regarding this scenario.How will the changed context value("TSite") will be sent to the mobile device? Will it be stored in any table in the mobile device or is there any other mechanism? How can I confirm whether the changed context value has been transferred to the mobile device without viewing the UI? We are upgrading from Apps8 to Apps10. There is a customer and technician signature that exists in Apps8. Apps8 blob on table, HISTORICAL_SEPARATE, CUST_SIGNATURE. Apps10 table for mWO signatures  is JT_TASK_SINGATURE.For historical reference and use on work order documentation, we need to migrate the Apps8 signature to Apps10.Anyone have suggestions on how we can accomplish this?

How can I add (auto populate) data from IFS into an excel document please.The setup is already done in ‘Macro Basic’.Looking for the same functionality as Quick Parts - Field in Microsoft Word.Much appreciate any help.   

Good day. recently the Mobile_Cleanup_Sys.Clean_Faulty_Sync_Tasks__ is never completing and just keeps executing. We try and kill the job, but it wont stop.I tried setting the error fag on the front end (IEE) and it wont allow me to set this job as an error or stop the job.We tried placing this in its own batch queue to keep it from jamming up the queue and adding more processes to its queue and it just kicked off more of these jobs that will not complete. We are running APPS9 UD14 and mWO. Where to look to diagnose and resolve this issue and how can you kill a process that wont die?

We are in the process of upgrading from Apps8 to Apps10. In mWO, we have the standard Apps8 setup to allow mobile users to select the expense from the mobile device. We set up a Part Catalog Assortment which contains all of our non-inventory sales parts that we would like to use on the work orders for service and travel expenses, which are billed to the customer. The assortment is then assigned under Mobile Part Management > Mobile User Assortments to all mwo users as needed.We have been informed with the most recent changes in Apps10 mWO, there is no out-of-the-box solution for non-inventory sales parts. We have been directed to remote warehouse for inventory parts and given a possible work-around for non-inventory sales part. Hi all,Absences of the ressources created in IFS Application are sent and displayed in PSO module.However, in my current PSO setup,  these “absence activities” can be dragged & droped in the PSO Workbench by the user (i.e. change the dates, reassign this activity to another resource). These changes are not sent back to IFS, but it can be confusing to the user.Same behaviour is present when a ressource is assigned on a project activty in IFS Apps.My question is: is there a setup (in the Parameters, etc) where we can block the drag&drop option of the “absence” and “project” activities in the Workbench (only these activities) ?Thanks for your help.

One of my customers has SSO (Single Sign On) setup.  When testing the Mobile Work Order, after the screen to enter the system id and server URL, it redirects to the SSO. Is there a way to login with username/password bypassing the SSO option for testing purposes? Thanks in Advance!

Hi, is it possible to restrict access to Active and Historical Work Orders in IFS, to a specified group of users based on Maintenance Org?For example, we are considering use of WOs in an area where the WOs may contain sensitive information that may not be appropriate for other regular WO/maintenance users.

Hello,This is my first post here and I’m glad that I found this community. I have a small problem with Time Tracker 10, I believe it’s permission related.The problem is for a normal end user to see Projects in the app. The user can add hours to the Project from Time Registration in IFS 10 EE and then see them in the mobile app, hours and Project name. The user can also delete these hours from the app. The only thing missing now is for the end user to search for, find and add hours to a Project from the app. For me as an administrator it works. I’m guessing because I have more permissions. What is needed to select Projects from the mobile app?Shown in the image below is where the end user can’t find Projects, where I as an administrator can. 

Dear allIs it possible to adjust survey answers on the WebClient or to walkthrough them, so existing answers could be overwritten?It happens that answer modification, once the survey has been initially saved, works only on Mobile but seems to be not supported on the WebClient. Is this planned to be featured in the near future? On our previous version of IFS Trip Tracker, when adding a photo to an expense claim, users could turn their device landscape to select a photo from their camera roll. Since updating to iOs 13, this functionality has been lost. IFS support indicated this was not intended functionality and that it was Apple who corrected the so called bug.It was suggested at we enter this as a feature request for future consideration. Does anyone know how to do this and how successful these requests are? It was a really hand tool for users to attach electronic receipts to their claim (screenshot then attach). We are currently on Apps 9.

I have some users that can see the Non Conformance Report under Attachments and some that cannot and I don’t know how to fix the users that cannot see itI checked Object Connections and the LU is set up properly to see Non Conformance Report

We have a report statement of account report that creates a pdf file contains a number of different invoices for customers in it.  We would like to set it up so that when the report is run an email is sent to each customer that has an invoice in the pdf.  It would also need to be able to choose which email is the correct email to send invoices to if the customer has multiple different emails.  Is there a way to do this in IFS10?

I know this is a long shot, but what if someone has cracked it. Finding it difficult to migrate to a different invoicing strategy in Service contract module. The service contract, that has to change, is an existing one, which has been invoiced many times in past and thus its being impossible to change the INVOICE PARAMETERS.  Is there is any possibility to revise the INTERVAL of INVOICE PARAMETERS  so that the INVOICE PERIODS can be revised in a Service Contract. Remember there are invoice lines generated for existing invoice periods which does not have to change but has to be revised to a different interval from a revised date. Appreciate anyone who is even sympathizing.Jixon  

How to create a user with unlimited password expiry?     I want to create a user ,whose password should not be expired.    

From Document Class Management > Persons and Groups user NETKLK is enabled to create documents from doc class : PO-S1.But not from doc class PO-S2. Therefore when searching for document class when creating a new document revision with criteria PO-% user will get only the doc class PO-S1.But when user is trying to attach a document he/she will get document revisions created from doc class PO-S2 as well. It is also possible to attach a created documents from doc class PO-S2 . How to restrict attaching documents from document classes that user does to have permission to create new revisions?Thanks In Advance

Hi,While doing warranty claim process, after PO approval and posting, Charge back voucher is not creating.I have enabled ENABLE_WARRANTY_CHARGEBACK to Y and WARRANTY_CHARGEBACK_WHOSPLACE value also provided .Can anyone please guide me how to create warranty charge backs vouchers automatically. ThanksRamya

We are running Touch Apps on-premise on Applications 10 Update 10. But I can only log on as local admin and not on system id.Only getting this: I have full access with IFS_ALL on my user and have the touch apps admin functional role included.

Hi,     I have created a Sync Rule with delivery mode as Batch Delta and everything runs fine until the Mobile is initialized ,After initialization no data is there in the table and the data gets pushed the next time the sync rule runs.Is the app not supposed to download data for all tables when it is initialized for the first time.Am i missing something,Any guidance would be appreciated
