Object Connection Transformations for sourced (from another OCT) attachments

I have a question that >>>> When an attachment (document object) in current LU (LU-2) is inherited (sourced) from another LU (LU-1) through an Object Connection Transformation, the attachment in the LU-2 does not appear in a new LU (LU-3) when the OCT has been configured for LU-2 and LU-3. The attachments originally attached to the LU-2 is successfully transferred to LU-3. Is this how the functionality works (limitation ?) ? Actually, the requirement is to transfer the attachments in the ShopOrderOperation LU (for outside operations where a purchase order is connected) to PurchaseOrderLinePart LU. For that, there is an in-built (system-defined) OCT. It works for attachments attached to the ShopOrderOperation LU itself. But, there are attachments inherited from other OCTs (from InventoryPart, EngPartRevision, etc), and these are not transferring to the PO line with that OCT setup. MWO, Navigate back to the same step

Hi,In one of our customer environments, there are more than 200 steps in most of the work tasks. Each step has a unique object. While working on a step, if we navigate to the object of the step, we end up in the first step when we come back to the steps page. Is there a way to return to the same step technician has been working. We are on Cloud 24R1.Thanks.

Using Subcontractors as Resources on Work Orders

Hi All, Can somebody provide some more details on how to use (and track) the use of subcontractors as resources on Work Orders? Practical example: - A Work Order requires 6 resources to be on-site for 1 day on Nov 2nd. The resources don’t need any spcial skills, they are all part of the same Resource Group. - The planner checks availability for that day and sees that the company only has 4 people available on that day - The planner decides to hire 2 external people from a subcontractor that they work with on regular basis. So we need to send a Maintenance Purchase Requisition to our Subcontractor who will be our Supplier. So we set up our Non-Inventory Sales part for ‘Contract Labour’, we make a Purchase part ‘Contract Labour’, we define the Supplier for Purchase Part etc…With all that info, the Maintenance Purchase Requisition can be made and sent out. Supplier will confirm receipt of the PO and acceptance of the terms. So everything is settled and arranged. But what are the followi

MWO Clean Up Touch Apps Logs

Hi,We have the below Clean Up Touch Apps Logs scheduled task and it has executed successfully.But when mobile device logs are extracted, there are records more than a year ago: Does this mean the scheduled task has not executed properly? Or is this task meant to clear some other set of logs?Is there a way to automatically clear device logs? Thank you!

Doc Class is not populating when attaching a document from MWO App

Hi Experts, I am encountering an issue while attaching a document to a Work Order in the Apps 9 MWO App.The 'Doc Class' field is marked as mandatory, but when I attempt to search for it, no records are found. I have checked the object connections, and it is available for LU ActiveSeparate.I also reviewed the permission sets assigned to the user and confirmed that the 'Document_Attachment' permission set has been granted.Could you kindly provide any insights into this issue and advise on any other parameters that may be required to perform this action?" Updating map position in MWO app

Hi all,I have a question regarding "Update map Position". When a technician updates the map position, the current position is updated in the app as the object location. Is it also synchronized to the back office as the object location? As per the description of the help documents, I understand it that way. But, the MapPositions in the object in the back office was not updated when I tried. Is it only for that task?Any idea on this? Cheers.

Request to direct on how to get IFS app for ios to external employees/subcontractors

Hi IFS Community ! Seeking your advice please. Currently we have the IFS app for ios but this is only for the company’s internal employees. Is there a way for us to publish IFS app to our subcontractors (external) who provide service on customer sites, so they can access IFS mobile app on ios to complete the surveys on tasks being assigned.Though I raised a support ticket, was directed to the community so your expertise can help with any answers.Thanks in advanceMadhu

mWO vs Tech Portal

Hi, We use mWO (service engineer) quite extensively and have had lots of issues recently with our techs’ app crashing often (with the latest update), not syncing, having to re-login often, random errors as well. If the app is not reset after an app update, it was behaving erratically too. I’m just considering using Tech Portal instead of mWO app? Has anyone else swiched from mWO to Tech Portals? Would love some feedback. Or anyone who has been using the Tech Portals for a while. I believe the biggest difference will be losing the offline capability with mWO. TIA

Time Type and Sales Part hierarchy.

From our help documentation regarding the sales part on a maintenance org: The connection of a sales part to the maintenance organization has the same purpose as the connection of a sales part to a resource group. However, the sales part (and hourly rate) for maintenance organization will only be used if a resource group is not defined on a work task line or time report line. The Time Type also has a Sales Part Number and detail that allows a Resource Group to be assigned with a different Sales Part Number. Does anyone know the hierarchy for this? Maybe this is the hierarchy:Time Type with a Resource used the Sales PN define on that detail. Time type, no resource in details uses the Sales PN defined at the header of the Time Type. No Time Type is used but we have a Resource Group, that PN will be used. Sales PN of the Maintenance Org is used if there is not time type or resource group defined on the time repot line.Does anyone have some information that might help me?ThanksPatrick

Custom Datasource function for IFS Cloud page

Hello dear Community, I’m exploring the possibility to change the OOTB Datasource function to a customized one for better performance for a specific page of IFS Cloud, namely the Dispatch Console. I have found how to set the Datasource Function using the Page Designer, but I have not yet found how to define a custom Datasource function. Could somebody point me in the right direction, please? mWO Service Engineer - what are the app permissions?

Hi all, We are on Cloud 23.2 and on latest mWO service engineer Android app. Recently a lot of our techs complaining about the app not getting the jobs sent to them, parts turning up the next day, etc. I’m just wondering if it could be the Android settings that puts the app to sleep or kill it off while in the background to save resources. For instance, my test device has selected the below by default. Does that mean the data won’t sync to the device? What are the Android permission settings etc that we should set in order for the app to work optimally (but also not draining the battery)? TIA

IFS MWO Service App won't stop initializing

I am unable to access the IFS MWO Service app because it will continue to initialize with seemingly no end. I tried changing the sync rule for CustomerInfo and SCCustomerContract from “exclude” to “include” to see if that would get the app to display some missing data, but that ended up incurring the initialization error I am currently encountering. I reverted the sync rule back to what it originally was but that did not fix the issue. Please let me know if you know how to solve this issue.

We are regularly getting this error - but I am struggling to find any dates out of sync. I have seen the previous conversation that indicates this was resolved. We are on Apps10 UPD21.Trying to tackle the failed transactions, but some are proving tricky. Any help would be great. Thanks

Hi Community, A MWO user is having the below failed transactions constantly. Reviewing the screenshot below, the transaction time is different from the start time. Multi close of Task Steps MWO

Hi IFS Experts A question regarding a one stop way of closing, for example 100 steps in the MWO to prove the work has been doneSo, One job with 100 steps. Cloning PROD w/MWO into DEV w/MWO

This will be the first time I have cloned into this environment since going live with MWO in PRODI do want to leave the DEV MWO available for testing.Are there any settings that I can check or that will need to be changed after the clone to make sure that nothing gets inadvertently forwarded to the DEV MWO that should have gone to PROD?Just trying to make sure there are no gotchas that I have not thought about.
