Greetings!How do you add a Part Number to the Config Family in APPS 10?  

Greetings!If I made the following part, but forgot to make it Configurable how do I go back and change it in IFS APPS 10?  

Hi,I tried to build a link to another window within a column in a Quick Report, so that after running the report, the link would be clickable (highlighted) in the browser. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to achieve this, as it seems that the data in Quick Reports is always displayed as plain text.Has anyone managed to get this working?For example, imagine we have a report with customer orders, and the last column contains a constructed link. When clicked, it should take the user directly to the order with the corresponding number.  

There is a neat feature in the Shop Floor Workbench (SFWB) that allows the operator to manage downtime transactions and manually add downtime results and clockings.  These are created by either the start and stop downtime from the SFWB and optionally, from the same functions on the Time Clock.In an environment that does NOT use shop orders but produces on production schedules, my customer would like to manually add downtime results but they find it less than desirable to have an operator go to the SFWB.  The ultimate goal is this is to develop performance reports that uses a lot of this information and others and possibly position themselves for OEE.I am open to suggestions as to how to do this as efficiently as possible. Is there a way to just add the “Manage Downtime” functions to the navigator???This customer does not report time by employee so I thought having the production line workcenters as employees and perhaps wage codes as the part numbers they are producing  and use the man

Greetings! I am trying to add a new component part (FD DRIVE AXLE) to the Configuration Structure, but don’t know how to get it on the “list” of part numbers. IFS APPS10  

I need a quick answer here, please.  What date is used on the Inventory Transaction History when this aggregation is run?  The created date of the transaction or the date applied?

Hello,I would like to split the operations within a work center across multiple resources. However, when I try to do this, I can’t set the quantity on the main work center (parent) to zero—it requires a value, even if it's not meaningful.Do you know how to solve this? Or could you suggest the proper way to assign operations to individual machines (resources) within the same work center?  

We have two manufacturing sites in a planning network doing custom manufacturing. That is to say material requirements between the two sites varies day-to-day. We may stock an item at site A that is primarily used there, but may be required at site B from time-to-time, or vice versa. To facilitate the movement of these inventory parts, we run planning network MRP each morning to determine what needs to be transported to the other site. The distribution orders are automatically released and a scheduled database task reserves the customer order items and prints a pick list. Once the parts are picked, they are shipped to the other location. A CRIM then reserves the material lines and prints out shop order pick lists so the items can be picked to the proper shop order bins at the demand site. In theory this works great, but there is one issue we’ve uncovered. Items that are stored in Floor Stock locations are not automatically reserved to customer orders because of the location type restri

Is there an option to backflush operation steps within Shop floor Workbench module?

Our customer uses a prototype structure for cost demonstration, and their product structure includes multiple levels. I noticed that the "Cost Build-Up per Structure/Routing" page doesn't seem to support cost calculation for multi-level structures.Do you know if there's an alternative way to handle this, or any workaround you could recommend?Thanks in advance for your support!  

Hi, Is there any possibility to calculate the cost for ‘Prototype’ part with a prototype structure/routing ?   

Greetings!I am trying to add part number 45594 to the Configurate Structure but get an alert message “Phase in date of this component conflicts with parent revision date.” Does anyone know what I need to do to fix this in Apps 10?  

Hi! We are having difficulty with our Advanced Planning Board (APB).When we try to copy Shop Orders into APB from our instance of IFS Cloud 23R1, it times out at the point of “Loading Schedule”. Then we get an error message that states “A Task was Cancelled”.Eventually it’s possible to get in and we can see the correct number of Shop Orders identified on the “Count Hits” function when loading a couple of shop orders. However, it doesn’t show any of the work centres, shop orders etc.We think that APB is linked to IFS (as it can see the orders we want to pull across) but the orders never actually come across from IFS Cloud into APB.Any idea what could be causing this please?

Hi Using Apps 10 and have just created a new work centre, i have updated the relevant structure with the new work centre ID and then ran CRP but i keep getting the same ERROR message“ShopOrderScheduler.NOAVAILABLERESOURCECRP: No resource available on work center PW4F3 when scheduling load source and order MRP/50167495/*/ operation 50 with finish date 21/07/2022.”Does anyone know what is causing this? i have checked the work centre and have 1 resource connected at 100 % Efficacy.regardsJamie

We're experiencing performance issues with the Find and Connect process within the Export Control module.  We're shipping an assembly via Customer Order that contains approximately 2800 unique part numbers. We have licenses that match, but the act of checking the "Connected" checkbox takes about 9 seconds of processing time in the database for each row.  This results in around 7 hours of processing time to connect all licenses.  We've attempted this via DB script as well and the processing time is the same. Our licenses do not have a quantity or dollar amount limitation.  The license being connected to uses mostly wildcards (%) in the criteria.  Has anyone else encountered a performance issue with running find and connect against a large structure, and what workarounds are available?

Hi,Has anyone had issues using the ‘Connect Characteristc to’ option in Apps10 CTO Configuration Characteristics. I have copied my part configuration revision so I have revision 2 with a status of tentative. I have then created a new configuration characteristic and used the ‘Connect Characteristc to’ option from RMB to connect it to the family and the tentative part configuration revision. It is correctly added to both family and the part configuration revision, but when I test the part configuration revision the new characteristic does not appear so value can not be entered???However if I now delete this newly added Characteristic from the part configuration revision, and then use the ‘Add New’ on the part configuration to add it back in, when I now test the part configuration revision the characteristc will appear and works as it should. I have also tried releasing the part configuration revision after adding a new characteristic using the  ‘Connect Characteristc to’ option and the

Hi,We’re just getting started with IFS and I’m trying to understand how Manufacturing Part Attributes get populated. I can see that they are stored in ManufPartAttribute entity but can’t see how they qualify to get included in that entity. I can’t add a new one from Manufacturing Part Attributes screen so I guess that adding something to a Master Part is creating a ManufPartAttribute but I can’t work out what.Any help appreciated. 

This issue I am seeing is in IFS Cloud 24R1 both SU 10 and SU 11.  We have noticed a issue with our Remaining Labor Hours and Remaining Man Hours in IFS when having Shop Order Operations running concurrently.  For example, employee clocks onto Shop Order A and Shop Order B, because both are on the same machine (say a Laser or Press Brake).  Each Shop Order has 20 hours per unit planned, and Lot Size of 1, so 20 hours total planned on the Operation.  Employee works for a total of 10 hours for the day, clocked to both Shop Order A and Shop Order B at the same time (concurrent operations).   Now, after clocking out for the day, IFS will apply 10 Machine Hours on each Shop Order Operation, so the Remaining Machine Time for each Shop Order is 10 hrs.  And, for each Shop Order, it will take the employees Man Hours and divide it by two (as employee was on 2 Ops at the same time all day), so each Shop Order gets 5 Man Hours reported.  But, in Report Operations, it will show the full 10 hours o

Hi All, ​@Björn Hultgren (would greatly appreaciate your oppinion on below matter). IFS Cloud 24.2.3 We’ve noticed that after reporting scrap on a Shop Order Operation, when Increase Lot on Scrap is enabled, once the lot-batch qty is incresed, the shop order is rescheduled and Start Date is changed to match the Earliest Start Date (Forwards Scheduling).Since the SO is started, I see no point in updating the Start Date of the Shop Order. Is this a bug that should be addressed to R&D? Or is there any setup that could prevent rescheduling SO when lot-batch is increased?Before reporting scrap - Start Date - 22nd of May After scrap was reported - Start Date changed to 21st of May.  

Dear all, i’m facing a customer need on which i can’t find any solution 😶The need is the following: the inventory parts UoM is Tons, but the UoM to use to declare shop order part issues and part receipt is m3.The immediate solution would be to use input UoM group to make the conversion, but i coundn’t find any possibility to use the density of the issued or received parts.Does anybody know how to use the part density in an input UoM group or have any alternative solution for this need? Thanks a lot for your help 😀

We’re trying to use Shop Orders of the type Repair to enable us to be able to manage the Receipt, Repair and Return to the Customer of faulty parts that have been either sold directly to them or delivered as part of another product.We can create a Purchase Order with the Part as a line item, and receive the part against the PO as Customer Owned stock, and when we create the Shop Order as type Repair, it automatically links the Part Number to the Order both as a Material and a Produced Part.However as these parts are normally serialized we need to manually select which of the Part Serials are to be Reserved and Issued but when the system displays the Parts that are available for Manual issuing, our Customer owned Parts are not visible.If we try to do a manual Issue of the Inventory Part, we can select the correct part serial number but when we try to Save the Issue, we receive an error message “You are not allowed to perform this transaction NISS on Customer owned stock”.I suspect that

In IFS 9, we were able to run the demand plan server steps more than once per month. In IFS 10, we are getting a message that it is not allowed. Our steps require us to do this but we keep getting the message “The period has already been aggregated. Create forecast can only be ran once per period”. How do we get around this? We’ve been told to just “ignore the error” but that does not work.
