How do you move shop orders within a schedule?  We do not use production schedules, but we may need to move shop orders up and down for start/stop dates. Also, how does a shop floor operator know which shop order he/she should be working on next? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.  We are using the IFS Cloud.

We have a sceanario where parts have been quarantined and are not usable at this time.  The Inventory Part Availability Planning panel (IPAP) seems to reflect the part quantities correctly. 12 On Hand and 0 Usable and Available.   Our question is in regard to the Inventory Part In Stock panel. We believe that the Available Qty should also reflect 0 since this is the Available Qty number in the IPAP. Are we wrong in our assumption?  

Hello guys, Is there a way to implement a check whether a shop order includes at least one operation before the shop order is released.  Thanks for any ideas!  

Hello,We use ifs app 2004 for our company.We have a problem with the costing in our site (Mx), labor hours load in the system but doesn’t get in the final costing. Material costing is loaded in the shop order but we cannot get any of the labor hours in the costing of the shop order.The labor class is still current with expiration date of 2029.We saw the labor hours are loaded in the shop order, but is shows costing 0 for every iteration of the hours loaded. Part was created as "manufactued", and template costing configured for manufactured.This is a thing only happening in mx site, we did a test for another site (US) and it is showing costing of labor hours right. We don't have an idea of whats going on.I appreciate if anyone can help us.Thank you. 

Hi, Is Unit Code sill available to set as a default in Cloud?In Cloud I am not finding Unit Code in the Defaults screen (Engineering PDM Basic Data).I have looked in both Could 21R1 and 21R2, different customer environments. 

Think nesting. I thought I heard some rumblings somewhere about the development of a shop order on which you can make more than 1 part at a time. I do not mean byproducts or substitute products. Thoughts?

When I create an SPC chart, it seems that the system only considers the measurement result from result number one. Why isn't the average of all result numbers of a data point of an analysis taken into account?  In my view, this should be (100+39+39+39+39+39) / 6 = 49.167 Could anyone please help me resolve this issue or advise me on how to proceed?

All, I am having trouble understanding how IFS comes up with the average issues over a period. Our periods are set by month. I’m attempting to view the average issues and receipts for period 1 of 2023 (January). IFS indicates I’ve done a qty of 1219 in that period. However, reviewing inventory transaction history, I am only seeing 1170. Is there another location in IFS that also determines issued qtys? The help doesn’t seem to indicate any specific location or even the transactions it considers to be issues (Counts, Shipments, etc.). any guidance would be greatly appreciated. 

Hello Community,Currently, the production planning department has a very interesting question.They want to know (and of course see in IFS) how long a shop order will block a certain physical production area.Example: Shop Order 12 occupies all of room B and one-fourth of the production space in room A. The scheduling of the production area is of course also related to other shop orders and can therefore not be assigned to the article in a fixed manner.In other words, another resource that can be assigned to the Shop order and is focused on the shop order start and end dates would be required.My first thoughts were on the work centers. How is the duration of a downtime clocking calculated? Is this determined by the calendar on the Work Center, the Manufacturing Calendar on the Site, or something else? Is the available/theoretical capacity of the Work Center Resource accounted for?

A developer created this menu “Armony – Insert Project Demand lines”I created the "RU_PILOT" role which gives access to this menu.Then I added the role "RU_PILOTE" in the role "RU_RESP_DE_PROJET_AFFAIRES" and "IFS_ALL".The user who has IFS_ALL sees the menu while the user who has RU_RESP_DE_PROJET_AFFAIRES does not see it and I cannot understand why. 

Estimate Bid Management I have a basic understanding of how this works and that we can create a business opportunity in CRM. I also recall, that in an earlier version, that I could create a sales quotation from the estimate. But for the life of me, I cannot get the same results in the Cloud Test Environment. Any clues? In order to prevent shipping due to a variety of reasons, we may manually block a customer order. Manually blocked orders do not allow pegging or reserving which interrupts the workflow for production and shipping/receiving. We still want to be able to produce the shop order, pegging it to a customer order and reserve the completed lot to the order, just prevent it from shipping.  Is it possible to allow manually blocked customer orders to be pegged and reserved?

Community,I think I have enabled all projections in permission set about Engineering Part & Part Handling, but I still get this error when running Create New Part in below window. May I know where I missed?i can create new engineering part, but if i do from Create New Part button, i got below error.when I select Create New Part button, i got below error. 

Is it possible to add an additional Handling Unit to an existing MRB case? If it exists, I have been unable to find it.Handling unit contains the part number, lot number. 

I have looked at the closed topic on Availability Control but I still am not able to see who changed the part numbers Availability Control ID.Any help? The logging is turned on but I can’t search with the part number or anything. Would like to see who changed it to the current value.Thank you

On an inventory part, under the Revisions tab, we have old revisions that are still showing with a Product Status of “In Effect” when they should be “Not In Effect”.  I’ve double checked the following:The Phase Out date is passed Product structures tied to that revision are retired - obsolete There are no alternates on these product structure revisionsWhat else might be causing the Product Status field to be “In Effect”? 

Hi, after I release a DOP (all SO’s and PR’s created in a released status, inventory reservations made), I make a new PO (unreleated of the DOP). However, the part from the new PO is also something I can use in the DOP structure. Is it possible to net again the released DOP? What will happen with the underlying DOP orders, as we now have a part in stock so the underlying orders are not needed anymore? Thanks!

Historically our company has tracked what we call ‘as required’ qty in engineering BOMs typically for materials used in the manufacturing process (epoxy, paint, etc).In IFS, the design engineers will put a qty .001 (a convention we invented) meaning that the exact qty is unknown at design time, but will be updated by a manufacturing engineer when the actual amount of material needed (ie 2 gallons) is known.We want to move away from the .001 for some technical reasons. Is there an industry standard way, supported by IFS, to handle this type of scenario.

Hello all,I am looking for a way to analyze data and generate an alarm when a process is going in the wrong direction. We currently have Control Plans setup for all manufactured parts. Variable measurement checks are setup on each. We have specified Outer Min, Nominal Value, and Outer Max values.I was testing the use of SPC in IFS and defining UCL, CL, and LCL values that are within the Min and Max values. When I create the chart I do see the alarms. My question is,  is this the correct solution to achieve the desired results, or should I be leveraging another feature (Inner Target Cp/Cpk)? Any guidance would be appreciated!

Hello everyone, While using the tool Shop order multilevel material availability i noticed the column (Minimum simulated start date) first i thought it represents the latest date where you can place the order taking into account the lead time (purchasing or manufacturing) But while running the simulation, i had this: running date : 13 aprilThe system gives me minimum simulation dates in the past which is wierd because even if you take the lead time into account the date will still be not in the past. Is somone familiar with this problem or might have another difinition of the minimum simulation date!Thank you in advance
