Hi, There are many things that could be valuable from an analysis perspective if we in a simple way could combine data from one operation with the previous operation and find the prevoius one even if there are parallell operations(then we should find the one that has to be done before).Has anyone a suggestion for that?One application that we are looking at:Adjusted OTD (instead of planned and actual start/finished, look at previous operations actual finish date + transport+setup). You cannot be on time if the previous operation is late, but you can still do your part at promised lead time.

I created a custom page and lobby elements on a column CF$_DOC_RESP_PERS and the count of those values in the element as a list. So the lobby page shows the resposible person and their count as a list If i click on the person it should take me to the custom page where other details about that person are available. In the lobby element i have given as per the IFS documentation  page/Csrmaster/csrmasterpage?$filter=cf$_doc_resp_pers  eq $[cf$_doc_resp_pers]But the filtering is not working. The columns are custom fields. Please guide me Thanks  

I am wondering where could I see in IFS how much '$' each Coordinator are allow to authorize per Purchase Order?

Test Steps:Go to  Engineering > PDM > Change management > Change OrderSearch for any CO with Pending Approvals (In attachment tab you can see approval process: Attachment below). To check Further Go to Engineering > PDM > ApprovalsAnd search for not approved line using search conditions ( CO & Group ID: Attachment below). Now Go to previous CO window and try to delete the CO with pending approvals, it is possible even with pending dependencies. This behavior is not acceptable.  In my opinion system should show an error message that CO cant be deleted because dependencies are existing on the CO.I tried on TQA but there is a proper popup message to that scenario and operation been cancelled.No customizations involved and the code base are same noticed that after investigating.Symptom: I have debugged the process and identified OBJ_CONN_DELETE getting False.Appreciate if any suggestions to overcome the issue.

Hi,Here comes the scenario we think might not be able to be addressed by APP10. we need to borrow your minds.We have very limited shop floor stock, hence we would like the materials picked as per operation start date, e.g. 3 days before operation start date. unfortunately, this is not feasible in the schedule job ‘Create pick list for shop orders’.then, we are thinking of the prior step of picking, reservation. we would like to use ‘Shop Order Auto Process Type’, Process Event ‘Reserve Shop Order’.so, question here, ‘Days Before Start Date’,  this date is shop order start date or operation start date?It looks to me it is a shop order start date, if that is the case, the reservation is going to performed on the whole shop order INSTEAD of operation material only. any suggestions? work around ways?Thank you.Ron  

I have spent lot's of time creating the custom page and configuring all the RMB options etc. I wish to know if I can export the pages (Similar to application package in IEE). I have seen  on PROJECTION COnfiguration an option to ADD to PACKAGE . Wish to know if all the work done on the custom page like lists/command groups RMB options etc all will be added to the package or not. Please guide me on this. We wish to deploy the application package on another environment

Is there a key / document / diagram that explains what all the symbols on the Part Eco Footprint screen in the Emission build-up tree view mean? For example, what does the circle with a line in the middle symbol on the Emission build-up tree view mean next to a part number?   

Hi, can we in IFS do an automated receive of a shop order, connected with a timer for example? Situation: We have one production line (A), which in some cases can be connected to another production line (B). Each machine has his own shop order, and produces his own products. The output of machine A, is the input of machine B (in some cases)If the machines are connected, it would be convenient to to ‘auto receive’ the products from machine A, so we can backflush them with machine B. Best regards

When saving Purchase order, is it possible to get a message when quantity in one orderline is greater than 1.000.000 or amount over 10.000.000, information message like “check orderlines, you have an unreasonable quantity/amount” or can you format field quantity, so you can't register a value more than 10 numbers.I see that you can set Min Order Qty in Supplier for Purchase Part window, but not maximum?To do formatting by high lightening row or field, isn't good enough.

We have a use case for the input uom group using parameters and formula. I case you are selling wood board, the idea is to use length and width as parameter to calculate the surface (M2) .I have defined the item in inventory / sales uom : M2. and a input uom group.in the input uom group , make the conversion between PCS and M2 using 2 parameters to enter on customer order line : width and length. on the CO : use the input uom and input qty  : i.e 10 PCS the system popup the imput parameter ,  i.e 2.4 m Length and 0.5 width. Calculation ==> 1.2 m2  when updating the CO line, we get : input uom PCS , input qty  1.2 (change from initial entry of 10 pcs) why ?? sales uom M2 , sales qty  1.2  do not consider the initial input qty of 10  expected result : input uom PCS , qty 10 (should remain unchanged)sales uom M2, sales qty 12  (1.2 x 10) thanks for your help 

Hi, Does anyone know, whether scanner is supported to change the tracking structure in Shop Floor Workbench, tab Tracked Structure.IFS standard in APP10, RMB function support user to remove the current tracked structure, and if it is a touch screen, you could drag and drop the serialized part under the parent part, and rebuild the tracked structure. Instead of reading serials in visual, does system support scan the parent part, then the component serial no, then tracked structure is established immediately.Thank you.Ron

Hi, Wondering how to have below step managed in IFS APP10.Material picked for shop orders needs to be fetched from warehouse location to shop floor stock location. they have to be moved by truck. Now comes the question, how to tell system to create a transport task to complete this movement?  or other workaround we could be able to have this kind of jobs manifested in the system. thank you.ZR

Hello,When using the Component Scrap function from Shop Floor workbench, we have two options. Report Component scrap of Non-Issued Material - IFS allows us to do this only when a component has not been issued at all to the shop order. Report Component scrap of Issued Material - IFS allows us to do this only when there has been some quantity of the component part number issued to the shop order. This becomes an issue in the following situation: We have a shop order that consumes, through backflushing, 100 pcs of component part number “123”. We report 50 good pieces of the assembly, which backflushes 50 pcs of component part number 123. The 51’st piece of part number 123 is bad. We want to do a component scrap of non-issued material, but since material has already been issued to this shop order, the system will not let us do it. What is the best way to report scrap of this 1 component piece? Thank you,Matt 

A customer raised the following concern in Application 10:“Earliest Unlimited Supply Date” used for Purchase Parts, applied/functioning for Manufactured parts. What is the feature in the application which handles “Earliest Unlimited Supply Date” but for manufactured parts?We must be able to visualize short-term disturbances i.e. prolonged lead times for manufactured parts, more or less the same idea/logic as for Purchased parts.Example/scenario:The standard lead time is 10d for manufacture. part X.When the production planned to finalize the production schedule it outlines that the shop order (best possible) is planned to be finished on day 15 = true lead time is 15d as the SO can’t be improved.Standard lead time could not be kept/respected. At this point, the production planner must be able to indicate a prolonged lead time -> update the “EUSD” (if that was doable) acc. to the scheduled SO to show the current plannable lead time for new demands.  Otherwise, new demand or new MRP req

Estimate Bid Management does not currently work with Recipes only Product Structures. Is this a limitation or can we implement this?

A customer is in need to update routings in mass when they are associated to a template. They have tried to update the routings using an EFA but that has broken the link to the template. This customer has many routing templates and routings to update and want to know what the easier methods are and whether there are any tools to get this done easily. I appreciate your opinions on this matter so that I can provide the better options to the customer to fulfill their request. Thank you.

Hi  I would like to export the project gnatt chart from IFS Apps 9 into Microsoft excel and modify certain details in this chart before sending to a customer. I have downloaded the add on’s from the add on screen in IFS but I am unsure of the next steps. Can anyone provide further information? ThanksJohn

Hi i am using App 10 and would like can you have more than one default location connected to one inventory part?currently we have one location connected to teh inventory part so when goods in recieves the part into stock it will automatically suggest the default location (which is our paint store), but when we want to move inventory from the paint store to a shop floor location in the ‘Move inventory part’ window it automatically suggests the default location GSPS46. I want the system to show the storemen the other location the part can be moved to rather than them having to manually input the desired location number 18044.Is this possible?regardsJamie

Hi, once there is an upgrade of IFS applications, are there any instructions to upgrade BA reports that a customer should follow? (for an eg: Using BR report upgrade utility, report validation etc.) A customer has been upgraded from Apps8 to Apps10 UPD8 and having lots of errors in their reports. When the reports are validated, validation fails. But it does not show what the reason for validation fail. Do we need to do client debugging to identify the cause?

Hi IFS champions! We want to capture hours spent making tooling for our production process. We have explored using Work Orders, Shop Orders but both have their pitfalls as well as benefits.Ideally, need to capture time spent (real-time or retrospectively) against each Tooling item manufactured. Needs to be a simple process as these colleagues are not IT literate!We are not currently doing anything with tooling, apart from creating them in IFS and attaching them to the Shop Order for manufacturing.Any thoughts?  n.b. we are on IFS2003 :(

What I did,Created a Cost Source Connect the Cost Source to Work Center at Cost Details Basic Data Created posting control M41 and connect it with Control Type C90 At Posting Control Detail connect Cost Source to an Account. What I expect;Once I report machine time, I expect the cost goes to the relevant GL Account based on the above mapping using Cost Source and WorkCentre. Am I doing the correct thing? Is C90 meant to be use like above? If not how can I use C90?

Can we create and use custom menus for Shop Order Window> Visualization views (eg: Shop order materials line availability visualization) in IFS Application IEE client?

Why is the Gantt removed as a tab from the Project Navigator screen in Apps10 as compared to Apps8? It is a separate screen now but few of the MRO customers stated that they preferred to view it in a tab. Could you please let me know why?
