Is there a way to get a list of products that will expire before they are used or sold based on the current forecasted demand? We produce fresh food products and juices, both the ingredients and finished goods have relatively short shelf life. We would like to be able to see what items we are long on so that we can take actions to either sell or donate them instead of purging the products. We are on Apps 10 update 5

I need to filer the data from login person’s person id. I create PERSON_ID column in data source and try it in data element.This is a counter, but  it’s passing null value for the parameter.  How can I fix this issue or can I used global parameter(‘#PERSON_ID#’) for the url?

Does anyone have any experience of applying a material overhead cost per batch for Shop Order/Part costs?We want to apply the cost of using an adhesive to stick components together,  for different parent parts have a different adhesive and hence cost.I’ve tried using Part Specific Overheads but although I can create the cost element, I can’t get IFS to recognise it on the drop down when I try adding it.There be something basic I am doing wrong - any ideas?

Is there documentation related to RRP (Resource Requirement Planning) and CRP(Capacity Requirement Planning) in IFS APP 10? Would like to understand its functionality.  Please advise. Thanks in advance.

In apps8, is there a way to customize the display (like column chooser) of change request from the attachments in the context pane.My need is to add the CO status after the CR status because the last status of the CR is “processed” but that does not mean that the CO is completed. And similarly, can we add the checkbox “action completed” in the change action from the attachments in the context pane in order to allow the user to complete his action without right-clicking on the action line and navigate to the change order actions. Thanks for your helpCarole

When Navigating Project Navigator > one of the activity > demand tab > misc partsI am unable to see all the available columns of it.Even though all the visible columns are on the list unable to see all of them together. it’s having morecursor is at the end of it but it’s having more columns. Also, the cursor is harder to differentiate from the main cursor, it has to be the same as the parent cursor but it’s not.  All of them fall under customization. 

In the shop order window there are negative pegged values available in a shop order. Any thoughts on how this might have happened and how to resolve it?Appreciate your ideas regarding this .

I am using Contexts in Aurena and using Context mapping by user groups (all working well in UPD10) HOWEVER what I would like to know is does anyone know how to duplicate a context.   Reason being - I have created a context for Frontline but I have 3 user groups that need to use this context and context mapping will not allow me to assign more then one user group (unless I’m doing that wrong as well) and I don’t want to have to do all the page updates in each new context. Hope this makes sense and somebody has an answer.  :-)

Hi Team, I created service request from customer order type SEO but I cannot see ‘Customer Owned’ object id connected to service request. It shows me an error:I want service request to automatically pop up the customer owned service object. Setup:My object id is customer owned and connected with respective customerCustomer order type is SEOCreate SM object checkbox is enabled on the customer order line 

Is there an option within IFS Business Reporter to display design rows/ columns even when there are null values when the report is run? For example, our current BR reports will not display rows/ columns where the GL Balance amount is zero. The report only will shows those columns and rows where GL Balance data is not null. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

In standard IFS 10 Functionality of Copy project, I use source project with a Delivery project and have defined a site as well. However, if my destination project does not have a site defined, I cannot proceed.Why default site is not fetching here? If I select copy Delivery Project, you will ended up with following error. To correct this, I have move back to the previous and select the source project site from the list or move out and define a site and redo the same process.This is not a user friendly behaviour and expect default site to be fetch by default. Any standard patch available? Please note this can be recreated only if you select Copy Delivery project in step  2/4. It is because site is mandatory for delivery project. 

I’m really struggling with the Project Forecast functionality and the matching When I create my forecast I have a new line in it (highlighted) which is not connected to an ActivityWhen I manually add the sub project ID and Activity ID and try and save I get an error messageI do have a snapshot connected but when I disconnect it I lose all the values in the other linesAny advice on what the warning symbol is and how I add the new line to the forecast ?Thank you

When there is a multi-company invoice set up, Is it possible to attach the project invoice to the supplier invoice which has generated in the other company? Customer is having such a requirement since project invoice is will not be visible in Aurena and they compel to jump between different entities to gather the invoice information. The checkbox is only editable when using E-INVOICE media code. (not available for MHS code) However, the customer requirement is “MHS” media code which is not available.(After the document is saved in the same document class of that of the company.) Is there another way or even a workaround for this process?

In MRO interim order structure, when you RMB on a level of the tree navigator and go to Automatic Disassembly, you have the option 'Include Sub Levels'. This is automatically checked. I do understand it's being automatically checked when you RMB from the header, but when you do so from the navigator I believe it shouldn't be checked automatically as we want to disassemble the MRO SO interdependently

We are looking to Batch create customer invoices and would like to know what this checkbox does.  The IFS help describes it this way:   Invoice Unconnected Charges Separately This checkbox indicates if unconnected customer order charges can be invoiced separately. If selected, it is possible to create a customer order invoice for a customer order charge that is no connected to a customer order line, before there is any delivery against the customer order or when there are no approved stage billing lines. If delivery confirmation is used, unconnected charge can be invoiced before any quantity gets a confirmation on delivery. If not selected, it is possible to invoice unconnected charge only with a delivery or an approved stage billing line. When delivery confirmation is used, there should be at least some quantity confirmed for the unconnected charge to be invoiced. The value of this check box is editable and will be inherited to the dialog boxes used to batch c

The Shop Order Work in Progress Report does not take over the default life time, which is set in report definition. Any solution to resolve this issue

We are looking into using the Alternate Parts Functionality.  What is the difference between setting up the Alternate Part on the Part Master / Alternative Parts tab and the other two screens (Alternate Purchase Part Base Data and Alternate Purchase Part Base Date). While testing, it seems thatentries made on the Part Master screen don’t have any underling functionality other than copying the information to the alternate part.  No information appears on the Alternate Purchase Part Base Data and Alternate Purchase Part Base Date screens. entries made on the Alternate Purchase Part Base Data and Alternate Purchase Part Base Date screens copy there information back to the Master Parts TabI am trying to determine the business process.I have not seen where any entries on the Alternate Purchase Part Base Data and Alternate Purchase Part Base Date screens effect Customer Orders or Purchase Orders.  What am I missing here… any info woul

Hi, I have just joined a manufacturing/defence company that has chosen IFS apps 10 as their erp of choice. I have supported users in the past but never been part of an implementation. They are asking me to put together a list of information we need to gather from the users that will help the implementation and config. Does anyone have any pointers/document?The only info I have is that IFS has listed these modules as within the scope: Distribution, Engineering, Finance, Project, Human Resources, Health & Safety, Maintenance, Program Management, Production (work orders etc.)

To simplify for Manufacturing operators using Shop Floor Work Bench, we are trying to set a default Work Center when the manufacturing user logs on and is taken to his homepage (Work Bench). We have tried setting a filter then saving the user profile but it did not work. Can this be done? Thanks

We have IFS installed in one Site and will start the rollout into other entities soon.On the one hand, we are hesitating to grant access to all employees to all data, new and old sites, but on the other hand is might be useful to have read only access on other sites.Desadvantage of having access to other sites data: may lead to confusion, more results out of a search, but not all within the own site.Advantage: being able to copy data, which might be useful.Another idea would be to add a globally used company and site for masterdata and knowledge exchange.What approach have other IFS 10 customers for this challenge?Thank you for sharing your solution with me.Regards Martina 

We are on Apps 8 and we assemble products that are configured to order.  We never fully setup our Advanced Planning Board.  Is there anyone using this for configured items?  Looking for a consultant that could help with this.

Dears, when opening the advanced planning board, all shop orders appear in an assigned status and are not visible in the Gannt chart. The problem is not with all users. It appeared when installing a new environment. Anyone knows which settings need to be changed? Thanks!IFS10

Hello, I am working on a process to salvage a component part from an Inventory Part. Essentially, we manufacture a top level part 12345. At times, the part may fail inspection. We are able to push out the internal components and salvage the exterior part: 54321. The components themselves would be scrapped (PN: 98765).I am not sure if I could use the Repair Shop Order function to handle this process. The help section does not go into specific detail about how to setup the Routing and Product Structure for this process. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
