Insights (Business Reporter and Analysis Models, EOI)

BR - which settings are  necesary for running the report from the applications, and view the report directly instead of fetching it in Report Archive ?  

I created a BR report for project budgeting and forecasting with writeback on ETC. It works ok. However, I have enabled drill down on certain cells and all these drill down do not show any data. Not sure this is an issue or I am missing some set up. Please share any relevant info.

Dear community,I want to create a permission set without any write permissions in IFS Aurena.first step:second step: But my permission set is empty:If I grant write permissions then everythink is fine.How I can I create a permission set only with read permissions? Thank you

Hi,I’m trying to create a quick information source from the GENRES module to look at the resource activity load data. I can create the QIS, however it’s stuck in Draft status and I don’t have the option to “Create Information Source”, and I’m only given the option to create another draft. Is there a step I’m missing? Any ideas much appreciated Many thanks   

Hi all, I have created a report using BA structure reapers in Accounting. I want to know whether we can get the original order of the accounting structure without automatically ordering the resulting data set in an alphabetical order.(need to see the exact same order of accounting structure in the report.) thanks in advanced!Niyomal

IFS10-UPD9Shop Order Pick List is missing Master Part number (highlighted in yellow), Is there an easy way/ setting we are missing to print main/master part number on the pick list?Is modifying report the only option we have? Thanks

I’m new to IFS10 and Report Designer 200.2.0000.  I have been asked to change the labels on few fields in the OrderQuotationReport.I was able to click on DELIVERY_TERMS_DESC, delete the label and use the Text tool add the updated label. But I’m unable to do the same for DEL_TERMS_LOCATION.  When I click on that label it shows the Header properties instead of the Table cell properties?I have tried to move the ORDER QUOTE LINE section down to display the entire header, but that doesn’t solve my problem either.  I have 3 labels in this area that I need to update.If someone could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. 

Get an empty form by Cyrstal Report in IFS 10 UPD9 IEE .When I select more than 10 records, then print Cyrstal Report in IFS 10 IEE.Sometimes I got some  spare empty form. And I checked the output, nothing missed.I want to know why.  

Hello,One of our users recently reported an error when trying to run a BR report, both locally on the PC from within the BR app *and through IFS IEE. The user was able to run the report with no issues within the last year and this started about three weeks ago. I can run the same report with no issues from my PC. We tried to re-install IFS BR w/ pre-reqs but the same error message still occurs.*EDIT: The user reported they can run the report successfully from within IEE.We’re looking into other factors such as if an application was recently installed that may be conflicting with BR but that seems unlikely. Has anyone else experienced an error similar or know how we might go about troubleshooting this further?    

Hi Community, I migrated SSRS reports from VS2013 to VS2019 for IFS10 upgrades. I installed extensions required by Visual Studio 2019 in order to connect with IFS Oracle Database which includes, Oracle Dev tools for VS2019 and ODT.NET.I am able to test connection with the Report Server. However when I try to preview the SSRS report (inside Visual Studio) I receive this error:  Has anyone encountered this issue before? 

Community, I have all information sources ready (using criteria filter), plus the permission set. but when I run business reporter against the information source, it returns nothing at all. to be best of knowledge, there could be no data in the information source.question here, what is the best way to query for the data in Information Source, just SQL do a query? Thank you.

Hello,I work on IFS Business Reporter Excel app and I hope someone could help me with below issue - how should I create design row and repeater, considering that within that specific repeater I’d like to add two different criteria. I’ll try to expain this in details:What do I have:What do I want to present:I’d like to make report showing summary of purchase and shipment accounts for Code_D values as A1, A2, A3 and for specific period (let’s take for example periods from 1 to 2).So basic criteria would be as follows: CODE_D LIKE ‘A%’, PERIOD<=2, ACCOUNT LIKE ‘302%’ (for one block), ACCOUNT LIKE ‘701%’ (for second block)I’d like this data to be shown with the following repeater/order:First - Code D then by:Second - Period (within Code D) then by:Third - two blocks: for purchase and for shipment (both within specific period and Code D, with repeater per account number) So basically I would like to create some design row with repeater and such criteria, starting from something like this

I have a “Right Mouse Button” menu item to generate a quick report.  Is there a way to have a menu click automatically generation the Export to Excel function for a quick report?  My user has to click several more buttons to send it to excel and that is what I want the menu item to do. We are on Apps 10, Update 10

While opening business reporter , i am getting an errror like “Object reference not set to an instance of the object “ ,  it was running till yesterday. 

Hi allafter having this error message “This Add-in is installed for all users on this computer and can only be connected or disconnected by an administrator”, I was no longer able to open my IFS BR Reports created.I uninstalled IFS BR 21.2.0.0 (installed before with the MSI) … and I installed again IFS BR .. but I always have the same issue.I follow the topics named “IFS BR issue with Office 365”.I have installed IFS BR as administrator but I always have the same message : Operation Cancelled (Exception of HRESULT : 0x80004004 (E_ABORT)it’s very strange because 1 hour before it’s running well, but after a Microsoft Crash, … I have this issue.Please contact me asap I really must use IFS BR and reports for an important presentation this week./RegardsERIC 

Hi all,is it possible to fetch the value from any text field in IFS with the PL/SQL developer?Not the value from data base: Because I need an event which prevents to enter more than 35 characters in the address line 2 field.My idea is: count all entered characters in a field. If > 35 then do not save and error message in IFS. Thank you

In an excel BR report a user got the error message “Error occurred creating zip file”. As the designer I do not get the same error when running the same report.   Any advice or thoughts? Thanks

I have created a complete custom report (.Report, .RDF, .RDL, .XML) through IFS Studio Report Designer to replace the IFS PO Report.  There were just to many things we wanted to change to make it economical to change the inherent IFS Report.  Is there a way to change to the custom report so that the inherent IFS calls (like the RMB on the purchase order to print the work copy) calls the custom created report rather than the IFS Canned Report?  We are using IFS10.I am not talking about going to the report definition and just swapping in a new layout, that question has already been answered.
