IFS Solutions

I found a couple posts asking about Hyper V support.  It appears IFS has abandoned the idea of supporting it, but I’ve been unable to find definitive information on it for recent versions.  Specifically, we are running Cloud 23R2.  Does anyone know if IFS supports a remote deployment in Hyper V for this release and future releases?

Hi, should route order have any effect on transport tasks when using perform putaway in move into stock?If so, should there be some values on every level of route order? Do we have a functionality in IFS to distribute the shipment charges (Freight) to customer orders for CO invoicing?In our case freight is calculated by a  3rd party tool.

Hello, I was hoping to dynamically change the signature based off the user id in report studio. I was looking through the documentation and found a DB Image function. This is the syntax: DBImage(‘report_logo_’,’image_data’,’item_id=[ItemID]’) When I tried it with this: DBImage('report_signatures','IMAGE' ,'image_name=JONEIL.jpg'), it took the syntax but it doesn’t work. I was wondering if there was something I was missing? Could this also be utilized for customer orders? For example, let’s say I wanted to print the signature of the salesperson. Could that function be utilized? Thank you. 

In 25R1, created Service Recurring for calendar with Days as 1 interval and noticed that consolidated Request is generated. by how we can generate the request for this scenario ?

I have an inventory part that someone in one of our sites undid a scrap after serialization was turned on at receipt and issue. Now this part is stuck (qty 2) due to being unable to scrap or to create a serial number to assign to the parts. Please advise.steps to replicate:1) scrap all parts in inventory for specific part no2) turn on serialization for issue and receipt (not inventory tracking)3) undo scrap transaction

Scenario:I’d like to maintain a list of “Trade Shows” basic data with a status of active/inactive, and have a LOV only show the active records to pick from. Similar functionality to hiding/blocking coordinators, etc in other areas of IFS Cloud.  I have a custom entity with two columns:Column 1: Trade show (String)Column 2: Status (CustomEnum: Active/Hidden) On the Sales Lead entity (Business Lead), i have created a custom attribute that references the custom table. In my page designer, i’d like to add this field as a LOV, and have the LOV filter to show only the records where status = Active. I have found this page: https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/23r1/040_tailoring/225_configuration/200_client_configurations/310_conditional_fields/200_filter_enumeration_values/But it doesn’t cover my exact scenario. Is this functionality possible to do without a customization? If not, is it possible to just Hard Code the values that i want to see manually?For reference, I am on 23R1.8

We have a availability control on parts in one warehouse.  The availability control is set to Nettable, not auto reservation, not manual reservation, not order issue, scrapable, allow reducing (on Part Counting Control), all allowed for part movement control and non-order issue.  For some reason we can’t create a cycle count report for this warehouse location.  It looks like it is due to the availability controls on the part but I need to verify that is the case.  Can anyone confirm my suspicion or help me figure out why these will not pull on a cycle count report.  We used not counted in zero days to generate the report.  We are in IFS Apps 10 UPD21.

Hello,I am trying to locate some data from the Shipments page in the underlying views/tables but coming up empty. I am looking at Shipment Management > Outbound Shipment > Shipment, general Tab and then Weight.I have the following in there - Net Weight, Adjusted Net Weight,Tare Weight,Manual Gross Weight,Operative Gross Weight,Operative Adjusted Gross Weight. When I look at Debug > Page Info, I am told these are all part of the TotalWeightGroup element under the View Shipment.But when I query the Shipment view, none of these columns exist in it.Where can this information be found in the IFSAPP database?Thank you

We would like to increase the Session_Idle setting to a larger value. We are currently using 1 hour with a 15 minute token lifespan. Are the any implications other than security if we were to increase this further?

Hello,In our current IFS Cloud 25R1 setup, we have noticed that the standard expense process works as follows: The employee submits the expense sheet. The line manager reviews and approves it. The finance team must then authorize the expense sheet before it can proceed to payment. For our business process, once the line manager approves an expense, we would like it to be ready for payment without requiring the authorization step.My questions are: Is there any configuration setting in IFS Cloud 25R1 that allows us to remove or bypass the finance authorization step entirely? If not, has anyone implemented a workaround such as a custom event, workflow modification, or any other tailoring to achieve this? Are there any risks or limitations we should be aware of if we remove this step? Any guidance, examples, or documentation references would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help!

We’ve successfully set up the expenses module in the HCM, and it’s functioning as intended. The challenge lies on the Finance side, specifically with allocating expense payments and managing posting controls. Ideally, we’d like to assign each expense to the employee’s name or ID number, but there doesn’t appear to be an option to bulk add employees — they have to be added manually one by one. Is there any way around this? We want to avoid having to add/remove an employee every time there is movement within the workforce. 

Our IFS cloud deployment of 23R2 is working fine. I’ve been using the OData APIs to build integrations with external software. So far, all of the paths I have used are for projections, with some form of:/main/ifsapplications/projection/v1/CustomerOrderHandling.svcHowever now I’m trying to use some entity paths like this:/int/ifsapplications/entity/v1/CustomerOrderEntity.svcThese are failing with this response: {  error: {    code: "ODP_SERVICE_IS_NOT_ACTIVE",    message: "Service is not active."  }}Anyone know how to resolve this?Thanks,-Chris

Hi,How is the Payment Schedule for Purchase Order used in the best way for Finance? When creating a New Manual Supplier Invoice you receive a warning when saving, that there is a Payment Schedule for the Purchase Order to match with the invoice. For External Supplier Invoices no such warning shows up and the invoice was created without matching with the payment schedule.           Is it not possible to get the warning in External Supplier Invoices or did we miss any setup?(IFS Cloud 22R2)Thanks in advance for your input!
