The scenario is, external customer places an order at the demand site, with the supply code “Inter Purch Direct”.  The purchase order is sent to the supply site, and the internal customer order is created. The supply code of the internal customer order is “Purch Order Direct”, which means the supply site also buys from an external supplier. When this order is processed, the standard way is that first the PO of the supply site is completed through “register direct delivery” and then internal customer order will be delivered. Next, is to deliver the external customer order, again using register direct delivery.

However, the requirement is to automatically deliver the external customer order at the moment of registering the direct delivery of the supply site PO.

To elaborate more on the requirement, in the following example, S100187410 is the external customer order at site FRGLN which is the demand site. GBWFD is the supply site and the PO P100170056 is the one which is created for the external supplier to buy the goods to the supply site. The requirement is to automatically deliver S100187410, when registering the delivery of P100170056

Is this possible with some settings in IFS Cloud?

Hi @YashodG , You need to have below setup,

  • Both Internal customer and Internal Supplier should have DIRDEL Message Class in Message Setup tab.
  • For internal customer, Sales tab → Message defaults sub tab, enable ‘Send Dispatch Advice Automatically’.
  • For internal supplier, Purchase tab → Message defaults sub tab, set ‘Approval of Incoming Delivery Notification’ to automatically and give an approval user.

Hope this would help automate the direct delivery process.

Hi @Sayuri Perera ,

I think you haven’t understood the question. What you have explained is the standard setup of data, when there’s an external customer order placed at the demand site and the supply site delivers it through an internal customer order. Here, if you check the screenshot I have attached, the supply code of the internal customer order is “Purch order direct”, which means the internal customer order is fulfilled by another purchase order raised for a different external supplier. Hence, the requirement is, to automatically deliver the external customer order (S100187410 in my example), when the PO (P100170056 - of the external supplier of the supply site) delivered through register direct delivery. Right now, it only delivers the internal customer order automatically with this data setup, but not the external customer order.

My question again, is there any possibility delivery the external customer order at once when the supply site PO(P100170056) is delivered? I hope you understand my question.

Hi,

I am sure that this works fine when the last supplier is internal by enabling the Send Multi-Tier Delivery Notification Automatically toggle in the internal customer. I have not tested if this works when for external supplier and/or when doing register direct delivery manually. Perhaps you need to receive a DIRDEL message from supplier for this to work?

Best Regards

Fredrik

 Hi Fredrik,

This worked. Thank you very much!
